One of the best tools to engage and across departments
What do you like best about the product?
The cross functionality is a great way to communicate both high-level and project level details ranging from schedule and additional comments as well as the overall detail that is provided in project schedules.

Better AI intergration needed for increased functionality

Smartsheets is showing me that we can effectively budget and is making sure we don't miss important tasks at hand when it comes to project planning and I like how easy it is to go in and edit schedules and convery to a larger group at the portfolio level.

Tracking timelines for projects with ease

Excellent for project progression
What do you like best about the product?
using smartsheet allows us to easily track the progression of the project, we can list all tasks required, assign owners who get notified and show what is completed and what is causing delays. We use the smartsheet on a daily basis.

Can be a bit more user friendly when first using.

Helping us to schedule the project with defined dates, owners and tasks that are required

Easy to learn, similar to Excel. Great dashboarding and reporting.

Date and Time field very limited. Unable to store time values or at least use in formulas.

Smartsheet for operations coordination
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Smartsheet for coordinating a university student enrichment program because it efficiently tracks timelines and stakeholder responsibilities, ensuring smooth execution and clear accountability. We refer to this quite frequently and it was easy to implement due to it's clear and consise interface. Smartsheet customer support has also been proactive when I first joined as a user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are a lot of features I have not yet had the time to explore.

Smartsheet is helping me solve the challenge of managing complex timelines and coordinating multiple stakeholders by providing a centralized platform to track tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of the program.
Smartsheet is always a great way to organize complex projects
What do you like best about the product?
For me the best features are Smartsheets task dependencies and Gantt charts. They give us a view of what types of tasks are related to each other, so that when a project is running, we don’t get stuck in a loop. I also like the reporting tools that guide us on a path towards achieving progress and no detail is left behind. It has been a game changer of project visibility and team accountability which enables us to take data driven decisions on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that the Smartsheet mobile app isn’t all that strong compared to the desktop version. Detailed work is a bit tougher on a smaller screen as it’s harder to manage work and view reports. It’s great for keeping up on updates or jotting down quick notes, but I rely more on the desktop version when I need to get into getting things done. Mobile could definitely use a little more functionality; Given that I’m away from the office I often need more in depth functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has solved our problem of having a complex, multi team project and organised it to a space to do task and progress tracking. Automation tools assist us in keeping schedule but the visual task dependencies allow us to identify and fix a bottleneck early. It has been much more collaborative among teams and allowing us to coordinate several projects at the same time has made it much more feasible to switch to this.

it does not include a free version for updading drop lists, for this, someone needs to subscribe in data shutle for such basic function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
connecting many users to use one sheet, it's benefiting me in my work that it does make collecting of data more easy.
