Integrated into our day to day
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has many business cases of usage from project planning to day-to-day task management. Our team uses it every day as a to-do list and also as a regular reports tracker to ensure all deliverables are met on time.
It's very intuitive to use, which makes it easy to get set up/implement. It also has lots of no-code automation tools that make it easy for anyone to pick up.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a form, but there are a lot of data validation features that it misses that could help us adopt it for more workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily task management, tracking monthly/quarterly deliverables and adding reminders to the relevant task owners. I can also record and archive historical tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
The most beneficial feature of Smartsheet for our Deakin University research commercialisation team is the structure and linkage between sheets, report, dashboards, and forms. They link together in a way that allows different levels of users and audiences to interact with a portfolio of artefacts in a way that is targeted to their specific use case.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe selecting multiple columns and rows could be improved. From a licence perspective, we're fortunate enough to have access to data shuttle. It would be good to see a smaller-scale more limited version of data shuttle perhaps that is accessible for smaller businesses / users to allow them to experience integration with other data sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to carry out complex government financial reporting in a more automated manner with integration to other organisational systems and multiple data sources from different areas of our smartsheet project management portfolio.

What do you like best about the product?
During a year we have extenssively implemented SS.
Best think is that everything stored in one place, we don't have to surf around for schedules that were made quite a time ago. another good thing that i can involve project team into planing review and they can update progress directly . And finally SS provides additional posibilities to crate forms for reporting and infor exchange.
Use SS every day and we even managed to integrate SS with our internal Task Manager system which is based on sharepoint.

What do you dislike about the product?
Two things that I would say is a must to implement:
1. When change project schedule line other linked activities that shifted accordingly shall be highlighted until SAVE or next change (as it works in MS project). Now it is extremely not convinient to find all the activites that has been changed in the schedule after adjustment of 1 single line
2. WBS phases showing hierarchy without complicated formula
Customer support sometimes a bit obsessive

Smartsheet helps us to avoid spending time on double reporting (instead of reporting to me and then me transferring data into schedule, team members report directly to SS)

I had a requirement where need to collect the input from the partner and have back and forth communication. It should be user friendly and need options to connect with multiple application without cost

I appreciate the ease of collaborating across teams, and with colleagues who may not be on my same network. The sorting and project management tools are helfpul.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating dashboards and sheet summaries, especially with formulas, requires a big learning curve and lots of help articles to read. I also wish sheets had multiple tabs.

It is helping our team keep track of large projects across various time spans.
Administrative, easy to use, user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly, easy to figure out without having to look up istructions, the AI formula generator helps a lot

There aren't has many excel features.. headers, columns, tables don't always do what i want them to doo.

Smartsheet is a uder friendly one stop shop (kinda).. we use a different accounting system that we need to upload into smartsheet.
Effectively manages all critical tasks and team workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet handles all critical tasks very effectively and manages the workflow with real-time collaborations. Thus it acts as an excellent tool for smooth operations and keeps the organizational platforms effectively. I can easily track the the project progress through its robust tracking features.
What do you dislike about the product?
managing events with smartsheet is cumbersome sometimes, due to the lack of real-time notifications and miscommunication. It largely causes delay in completing the task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily check the progress of all team members and communicate them regarding the project and very helpful for us to meet the project timeline. It is suitable for various work environments and it is user-friendly cloud-based project management platform which ensures the ease of use.
Save your time in developing templates and automations
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is its features like Data Mesh, Data Shuttle and other automations. It is quite user friendly to set up the data meshes and data shuttles with a straight forward flow.
It is easy to connect and integrate with Slack, Gmail or interact through python scripts.
We can track the Activity Log to see what changes were made and by whom, which can further be downloaded in an excel to revert changes if needed. Hence, the changes are never lost.
Dashboards are easy to work with, though there aren't many fancy or cosmetic options that we can play around with, but it serves the basic purpose which I believe is sufficient from a professional front.
I have been using Smartsheet for the last 18 months and so far there hasn't been a need for me to reach out to the customer support. Things are always in place or even if there is any functionality not working, by the time I get to know it, it is already posted on status.smartsheet and being worked upon. Thus, even if something is not working, we can always visit this site and check the status, which I find is a cool support feature by keeping us informed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Row and cell limit has been a downside because when a Smarsheet overflows, we need to create a secondary sheet to store the data which in turn results in amending the dependent automations and scripts. Even while exporting the data, there is a limitation. Can't paste more than 500 rows of data.
Sometimes the Smartsheets lags when working with large data. Example, if we have a large amount of data along with some validations or formating, even a simple task like popping the search dialogue box (ctrl+f) takes many seconds. Once the search dialogue box is open then the search function is smooth and quick.
After I have started using Smartsheet, I have been using the mouse and trackpad more often, maybe I'm yet to explore and try the shortcuts in Smartsheet or I got too used to MS products. Just kidding!! This is not what I dislike, but something to be considered when folks switch from MS or similar products to Smartsheet.

We keep our data in the Smartsheet which is later interacted through some python scripts to perfrom the subsiquents tasks. Since the data is online, there is less dependancy and ease of processing.
Better than some of the tools but can be better

too many steps to convert reports into PDF

it eliminates redundant and mindless work through the automated workflow options.
