Smartsheet's Shortcomings are my own
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that we now have a consistent site for storage of mutually-used docuements/information within our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, I think we're a bit too unorganized as to where we consistently place documents. Once we get that dialed in, I think it will become a far more productive tool for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's making us far more efficient in storing documents/tasks in one convenient place.
Utilizing smart sheets is a good blend of excel along with a task list.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets allows the users to create and share task easily with co-workers. The notifications are also a great feature as when the task are completed an email is sent. In addition, the notes options is great when task need more explaining or put on hold due to requiring more information.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we utilize smartsheets we do not use all the options that are available. Not that this is a downside or something I dislike it is just noted that we do not use all of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the use of Smartsheets we can provide a task list for our analytics team to work on projects for our clients.
Solid project management with more functionality than most
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive nature, easy to deploy, easy to adopt and support along the way. Integration into other software and planning functionality is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple changes which require updates can at times be cumbersome

Alignment of business functions, repository and accountability

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps to save time through automations and keeps perfect traceability of changes. It is user-friendly and easy to implement for tracking validation process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transition from Excel is sometimes a bit difficult but I always got great support. Dashboard are a bit limited compared to PowerBI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of records and secure validation process. Secure reminder sending.

the Gaant view is not so user friendly compared to other tools

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is its versatility . It allows for efficient project management, real-time collaboration, and seamless integration with other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Smartsheet is that some rules can be a bit complex to set up.

It enhances project visibility and accountability by providing a centralized platform for tracking tasks, deadlines, and progress.
Useful but not all features well explained
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud saving. accessible from anywhere. Able to share sheets with clients. Lots of extra features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes sharing sheets outside the organisation is fiddly. Not all features are well explained - I feel we would get more out of it if there were better annotations etc.

It enables us to keep workflow lists that the team can all see, have private areas for directors and to communicate around projects. We also use it for logging time

Management and collaboration in projects
Overall Smartsheet is a great task management tool, but its horrible for bookkeeping.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very helpful for customer support, tracking customers through a process of being an applicant to being approved to purchase our service. it is also fantastic at managing task and also great for using it as a checklist. It allows depths in PO sheet by allowing you to upload receipts and invoices. With how easy it is to collaborate, you can get approval for po request in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The language for math functions are not the best, its also missing many important excel features accountants would use such as pivot tables. I would not fully rely on Smartsheet for tracking company finances and generating financial reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to better track customers as a crm in a way where I can detail where customers are at in every step of our internal company process.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is being able to customize sheets with user access as well as automating specific functions once sections are completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the excel type functions were a little more user friendly. I find myself testing the functions on excel first to make sure it works than dragging it over to smartsheets.
