Been using SS for years, it's a good alternative to a locally stored spreadsheet.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a secure platform that the team can collaborate on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search function is rough. Alerts on old projects are annoying. Navigation is a bit frustrating...I still find myself clicking around trying to navigate to various workspaces and sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Works well for very large collabs across departments. One of which is organizing our annual customer conference project. Helps keep people accountable with dates and tasks and allows us to run through the timeline as a team.
Scalable, versatile and Smart
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet every day for tracking ongoing discrepancies of a workflow. I like that we can make adjustments quickly when necessary, view the data in multiple ways and perform analysis to identify patterns.
Although my Smartsheet is not built out to its full capability, I have seen from a colleague how their workflows are configured to include multiple teams, timelines and responsible parties.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have the staffing resoures or time to build out my Smartsheet to it's full capability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our national corporate team uses multiple platforms including MSTeams, but locally when coordinating with an offshore team, they cannot access MSTeams. We needed a system that all involved parties can access.

Very easy to use scheduling tools that make it a breeze. Love how easy I can make a multi month long schedule

What do you like best about the product?
It offers a lot of PM support. You have to unlock the potential because so many tools, dashboards, and sheets allow for great collaborations with internal and external clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Staying caught up and fully utilizing the tools. It is hard to keep up with when and how to use its features. I'd love for an AI tool to help propose connections, and formulas and help guide you when setting up a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really helps build out project timeline and builds a catalog of our projects to share with stakeholders. It give our department a full lookinto our capacity and is helping identify areas where we need additional support.
Fast and intuitive data solution
What do you like best about the product?
Options for changing your views of the data is what I use most. Moving from Grid view to Gantt view when reviewing projects is very helpful when tracking tasks. It's easy to use, edit and share sheets with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Diercct compatibility with Microsoft Excel is the only issue I have had. Data sheets can be exported, but individual cells, rows or columns cannot be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing live data has solved the issue of sharing spreadsheets through cloud drives or other methods.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets are great for keeping all the information in one place, making everything clear and transparent. They also allow both my team and clients to access the same data simultaneously, ensuring everyone stays on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn’t have an archive feature, and you can’t easily see who made changes or deleted something.

To update and access information at the same time as the client.
Essential for our project intake, planning and tracking
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet to create brief intake forms from stakeholders across our company and clients, connected to a dashboard and detailed project plans. Its made a big difference for enabling us to give a large group of people across different orgs visibility of all the work going through. Its easy to setup and evolve as project, business and stakeholder needs evolve. We use it on a daily level on a program and project level. We've not yet integrated with other tools, something we are looking at in 2025.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good to see more AI features to help us to easily extract information across projects, identifying trends, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables everyone to get a view of just under 600 projects, quickly drilling into the detail and getting the information they need, this was a very time consuming process before, so its saved us a lot of time.

There isn't much to dislike as smartsheet continuously are updating the platform and adding requested user features

Ability to provide individual project management with rollup to portfolio reporting

UI Could Be Improved

The automation of sheets and the intuitive layout of features is greatly appreciated
What do you dislike about the product?
The Browse sidebar takes up way to much screen space. Similarly the columns shown in each folder view have such odd sizes. Why isn't the name of the sheet the widest column? Why is the owner column so comically wide? When the name is the most important part of the document, it should be the most visible. I understand that you can resize the columns here but they don't save so it's a hassle every time you're looking for a sheet.
