Love it but could use some improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I love how we can have many people access it at once. YOu can enter docs and or comments & hyperlinks. love that you can share a workbook or sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
formulas could be easier, cell linking as well, having an option to sort more than once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we can have many people in the sheet working off it at once. The drop down options. Its perfect with the exception of sorting and formulas and cell linking.
Smartsheet makes project planning and management more collaborative because of many amazing tools!
What do you like best about the product?
With Smartsheet you can easily assign tasks, makes information available to others, see the status and burn downs for projects, communicate needs and deadlines as well as create very helpful charts for projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't care for about SmartSheet is simply that many of it's features could be done within a Google Sheet, if you are saavy to that environment. Other than that it's great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me to know and communicate the status of projects very easily. Collaboration is huge in our office, so we need this type of integration. It also allows us to track business overages and defects, so we can remedy them better.
Easy to use, efficient
What do you like best about the product?
It is helpful to build timelines and recreate other timelines without having to start from scratch. If a deadline changes, it is easy to update and see how the overall timeline is impacted. It is very straightforward and doesn't require a lot of training to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the user interface looked a little more sophisticated than a fancier excel spreadsheet. While it is fairly easy to use, sometimes it can feel clunky and like there could be an easier way to do things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating timelines efficiently and updating them easily when changes occur

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allows me to track all the small details of my project and attach documents to help keep me up to date on what the rest of my team is doing and keeps everyone on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up schedules on smartsheet is hard to accomplish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows my team to quickly search what has been implemented and what still needs to get done. It allows people to check where we are in the approval process and can be billed.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an incredible collaboration tool that is easy to pick up. I use it almost every day in my role as an NOI Procurement analyst at Related Companies, a Real Estate firm. I use it to track accountants and property managers as there is a great deal of turnover at the firm. Rather than send a revised contact list, our team can go directly and update new hire contacts. I also love the charts I can create for visual aid on how each of my initiatives are performing (utility, Real estate tax, telecom savings). It was easy to implement and integrating new users is also manageable via push button. The structure makes a lot of sense for dashboard: sheets --> reports --> dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have a customer service rep I am aware of when I have an issue with the product. The formulas are not intuitive for linking different sheets. It is much less intuitive than Excel. More client training opportuinities with be very helpful to me and my team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project managing the dozen + initiatives I work on. We are implementing a new ERP globally and there are numerous milestones which can easily be updated in a collaborative fashion. I am also using to track progress on Telecom rooftop license deals. There are many touchpoints and easy to forget where I left off if I haven't looked at a deal in a long time. I also like how I receive a notification when someone edits my sheet. Smartsheets makes life much easier when it comes to projectand task management.
Smartsheet: The elevated version of excel
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been very user-friendly when it comes to my learning and use of the basick functions. In my work, it has been helpful in keeping things organized and on task. It allows me to be able to filter and locate things quickly and efficiently. I love the ability to collaborate and share. In addition, the amount of resources provided is wonderful. Smartsheet University is a helpful resource for learning all the ins and outs of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some areas that could use some work. While I have been using it, I have found that learning the more complicated features are sometimes difficult and time consuming. Creating reminders, emails, or tasks in the different cells is not as easy as other platforms. I also noticed that if a large amount of people are using it at one time, there is a slow in production and it doesn't update quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my work, Smartsheet allows for team collaboration in one place, giving everyone an opportunity to contribute to the same task. However, Smartsheet does slow if there are too many users. Smartsheet makes it easier to follow the progress of a project while making sure it's completed timely. The reminders are helpful and the tool allows everyone to use it in a way that works best for them.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about smartsheet is how easy it is to capture data and turn it into an easy to read chart for others. Another aspect of smartsheet that I love is the forms that can be created and easily linked from our website which we use to recieve, approve and review permit requests and other requests from event attendees and coordinators. I use Smartsheet several times per day, and I would say that others in my organization do as well. I have not had to have an experience with customer support yet, as I have not had any issues with my account so far. I appreciate how easy the software is to use, and it integrates well with the systems that we have in place at my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced many things that I disike about smartsheet. I do beleive that I had trouble at first figuring out how to create the right sheet, but I was able to troubleshoot my own issues with my supervisor. This came as a result of a lack of training or experience with using this software as this is the first organization that I have been with that uses smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides me with a space where I can benchmark other event venues all in one place. The feature that I like most is that you can create dropdowns which I use for each school which allows me to seperate a large number of venues into a small number of rows on a sheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Workflows and automations are easy to set up and are reliable - they work!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functionality is a little clunky still, needs to be slicker like MSoft etc

*Currently very slow opening and loading new sheets
*you can updated multiple lines at once- eg the same comment needs to be added on multiple lines - you can not do this in a bulk you have to go into each one line by line
*we have no customer support and the one time we really needed it i was told no one could help and it took days to get this response
* hard to work out how to get the system to impliment automation - ive tried but cant get it work
*if you havent submitted a comment, you get a pop up but you cant click and be taken to the line with the comment to submit it, and have to scroll up and down untill you see the little pen
*when you set a reminder on a line, again you cant click and be taken straight to the line on the smart sheet
*more support required on how to use the systme to the full potential as im sure it can do more for us but need an account manager to dicuss and support with this or we will in the near future have to look to move to a full CRM to make our life less manual and admin heavy

its the only system our business has used, but we need it work better for us currenty its so admin heavy we have no automation at all so can be very laborious, we cant even click and buttom and pull reports. so not functing as a CMR
Great to collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
This is an easy to use tool with great collaboration features. It's powerful for medium complexity projects and to replace spreadsheets that requires a lot of people working on it. The Workflow and Notification features are good to automate processes
What do you dislike about the product?
Cell limiations, Performance on large datasets and Access Management capability. Lack of integration with Active Directory is a big issue to large corporations. Performance and limits on number of rows, cells and formulas is a roadblock for large organizations and projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Schedule Management, Project Calendar, Project Onboarding, Project Execution Controls, Specific Trackers replacing excel sheets. Biggest benefit is collaboration and automated workflows for approvals.
