Game Changer in our tracking and workflows
What do you like best about the product?
The data can be entered via a form by multiple people, and they don't need to see the entire sheet. The visualization can be done from the live data. Multiple sheets can be updated by Data Shuttle at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts have to be charted manually in most of our cases which creates additional work for our team. A simple project often is time consuming to set up. The form interface appears outdated and too techy. People complain about the size of the input fields and the fonts. Not enough customization for the forms. Not able to retain the chart design when i chart a new or change the existing one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track our patient complications with Smartsheet set up and built an extensive set up to ease the tracking. We track attendance for various programs and events. Track various demographic groups and manage tasks.
Works very well for project management and day to day tracking
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality is great for real time updates and case tracking for a research study.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things are a bit hard to navigate- copy/pasting between sheets and formulas occasionally getting lost. I am usually able to figure out and solve the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to do real-time case tracking for our research study, outside of the primary database we use for data entry.
A wonderfully intuitive tool to help project management
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet makes project management accesible to pm's of all ranges of experience. It is intuitive and easy to learn to use, and has many ways to personalise it. We use it in our company to create tools that help simplify and automate tedious tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is not perfect by any means and certainly has its limitations that you need to get creative to find work arounds for. The ones we struggle with the most often are invalid workflows- where there is a maximum limit of 5 daisychain linked workflows. The tool also struggles with volume, and the lag time is considerable especially in the afternoon when the American users log in for the day and use the same servers as the European cohort. Because of this, we have scaled to different departments and teams, but struggle to scale to full business capacity. We would love to see the ability to copy over conditional formatting from one sheet to another as this is one of the most time consuming tasks when creating a new solution. As a business we are appointed a technical account manager who leaves something to be desired as replies are slow and promised updates are missed 9 out of 10 times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us simplify and automate tedious approval tasks that would have happened via manual emails + attachments previously. Because of this, it has decreased email traffic and also recorded accountability within the business for these tasks.
Smartsheet is a life and time save at work
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows you to see all of our project/tasks on one page for out entire department. We utilze smartsheet on a daily basis as well. The one main thing I like smartshet itsupports various use cases, including project tracking, resource management all rolled into one.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me as a first time user of smartsheet here at my college I found it challenging to learn, especially those unfamiliar with spreadsheet-style layouts.

Great Product - add on features are expensive
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Smartsheet when I'm collaborating with others. I prefer it over other solutions such as sharing an Excel sheet on Box, for example, as I find it to be much more reliable. I also appreciate the features in Smartsheet which allow me to configure it to work the way I want.
What do you dislike about the product?
The more useful features in Smartsheet seems to almost always be "add on" features. The base price of Smartsheet is very reasonable, but the add on features are far too expensive. Adding on the features I want to use makes Smartsheet too expensive for many smaller organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use smartsheet for project planning/management. I've also used it as a ticketing system for our HRIS department.
Great tool to track and report progress over projects
What do you like best about the product?
simplicity, flexibility to accommodate different use cases, AI functionalities are game-changing as it accelerate a lot of work
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to manually click a button to save the current work, this should happen instantaneously

This helps me getting a standard overview of the projects happening and in pipeline for the different teams within an organization and accurately report on its progress to leadership stakeholders
All the information you need in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to collabrate and use. Everything you need is in one place. Forms are easy to create and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited to how much data you can attach to a line. I would like to be able to upload video to the SmartSheet but you are only allowed to upload so much so often video files are too big.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows a Salesman in the field to submit orders to me through an easy to follow form. I am then able to monitor progress of the order through our systems.
Easy to get organized and share documentation internally and externally
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the interface, it is intuitive. Really good for getting myself organised among my projects. In particular, the GANNT chart and new timeline and board views are great; allowing me to present among my colleagues and stakeholders. I also like the new AI tools, help me with formulas and summarize reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality of the mobile app is still not great, and the cost of smartsheet is quite high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like to have everything into a single platform, I don't need to navigate across spreadsheets, emails and task trackers. The sharing amongst teams is really good too, without need for them to have a full license to review.
What I'm using a lot lately is the "proof" functionality, which allows me to report on decisions and ask for validation amongst business owners.
The comment features are also great, foster team to collaborate and reduce the risk of miscommunication.

Intergration between sheets.

Not being able to format column headers for narrow viewing.

Requesting system from multiple teams, collating requests and multiple recieving teams. Quick updates. Intergrated tables.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you are able to send notifications and collaborate with people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to save after every change as sometimes it is easy to forget.

Collaborative nature and how easy it is to create project plans and assign them to people.
