Smartsheet is integral to our company's business needs and sucess
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheets every day for work as we use it as our main platform. One of the best things about Smartsheet is how it keeps the team in the loop for our projects. I love how you can create automation/workflow to keep everyone informed. It is like Excel but on performance-enhancing medicine.
I am a try-it-yourself first person, so it was great to download the "Template Set- Formula Handbook." it was easy to read and understand and helped me with my formulas. One of the latest new features that I love is the AI interface to help you write formulas. I can type what I want the end result of the formula to be, and it will create the formula and even populate the cell with the formula.
The "update" and "generate document" features ensure a smooth flow of our internal standard operating procedures. The "forms" feature is beneficial as some teammates aren't familiar with Smartsheet and quite honestly, we don't want them to interface with the Smart Sheet itself.
The community forum is a great way to ask for help, as someone might have had that issue before.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Not being able to insert pictures in forms.
2. Not being able to do a double "v-look up" for a formula
3. To send an attachment via a workflow, the trigger is when the attachment is added only. I had to use a helper sheet to get around this. Which unfortunately took away the update function as that put the information on the helper sheet and not the real sheet.
4.Document mapping needs to be done every time a sheet is copied/duplicated, which leaves room for errors.
5. The official "help" and support should be more helpful. Sometimes, the only way to get help is through the community forum.

1. Keeping the client up to date on the projects progress (budget, construction schedule. An informed client is generally a happy client.
Helpful for forms and surveys and project management
What do you like best about the product?
The features we use most are forms, dashboards, project plans, and team collaboration. Forms are straightforward to create, project templates are helpful. I started using Smartsheet AI to help with creating formulas.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as I'm aware you can't create pivot tables in Smartsheet, that would add a lot of functionality. We end up exporting to Excel for this.

We use forms for application submissions.

It is easy to use. Have been able to have new employees get into their accounts easier

What do you like best about the product?
I like that its easy to use and has the familiarity of MS excel. It can also be tailored to you needs and can have automations sent to task owners as reminders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Do not like that the calendar view for sheets or reports is a little clunky where you need to manipulate the task name to have clear visibility on the calendar.

Over resourcing personnel, organizing work tasks and timelines.

What do you like best about the product?
The formulas and automations, and automated emails! I wish there were more expansions on these!

The rigidness of the first column, and the cumbersome filtering check and unchecking. I wish there were inutitive search autofill experiences.

I am a client success manager for the organization I work for that uses SmartSheets every day.
What do you like best about the product?
Real-time updates, the ability to share sheets in several different ways, and the ability to categorize different files.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything that comes to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability for multiple team members to edit and manage sheets in real-time. Ability to share sheets outside of our organization.
Able to improve the functionality of a multitude of tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I run a large organzation in charge of maintaining Preventative Maintenance for a company. Smartsheet has enabled my team to stay on task and updated on whats next in scheduling. its a great vehicle for staying focused and never losing sight of whats next.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get a little lost in the sheet but its really a matter of using the tool to build up my frequency - use knowledge. As my use increases my gaps in the capabilities built into the tool increase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use excell spreadsheets for everything but there really is no intelligence built into excel, smarsheet provides a familier face and look of excel but with the added intelligence that Smartsheet brings to the table

What do you like best about the product?
We're able to use a kanban board to track our teams initiatives and progress. It's great to see any size initiative at a high level, then click further into it for more details. It's also great to drag and drop cards into each progression we're outlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like useing sheets as project plans. I'm able to customize project plans for specific initiatives which makes it easy for me and project stakeholders to see ecactly what's coming due or past due.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet alows the entire team to see what others are doing in real time. Each time an update is made by a teammember, others can either be notified directly of the update, or can check back on their own time to see what's progressing. I'm also able to use Smartsheet to creat stakeholder feedback forms, and project request intake forms in a professional manner.
We Use it for Everything
What do you like best about the product?
We've leveraged Smartsheet for tons of business processes including forms, project management, and compliance. It is easy to set up and get started. The templates are good too. I don't think there is a day that goes by that we aren't accessing Smartsheet for one reason or another.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automations leave a little to be desired. I don't feel like I'm able to get everything moving where I need it to be as easy as I'd like. I also find it difficult to create dashboards and reports but that may be a lack of practice on my end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for various customer-facing forms, which has been critical. We've also leveraged it internally for various task management reasons. I like that I can have all of my Smartsheets in one place.

Smart sheet is similar to Excel, but NO easy cell numbering option
