Flexible and great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet felt familiar from day 1, given that the primary interface is a spreadsheet. This has also made adoption amongst team members even easier to manage. Personally, I find it great for building workback schedules and marketing calendars, and then presenting the same information in various views. Importing a spreadsheet is also easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel dated at times, especially when compared to competitors. I also wish that saving didn't feel so manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves as a marketing calendar of emails that we send, allowing me to share this calendar as a website for those who don't necessarily use Smartsheet but would like visibility. Projects and their corresponding tasks are also tracked.
Smartsheet is feature-rich and is easy and intuitive to use
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy and intuitive to use and includes many of the most useful project management tools that are mostly only available in much more expensive tool suites. All the views (List View, Card View, Gantt View) are the equal of or better than any other similar products. Smartsheet is much simpler to use than most of the competitor products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The resource management schedule lacks options to configure the output in a way that suits the differing requirements of each project. Being able to add filtering, configure the task display, etc. in the Workload Schedule would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to plan tasks effectively across a large number of projects and resources.
A Positive Project Management Experience with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create forms that automatically populate information within a Smartsheet page is a standout feature. Aside from automation, the best aspect is how easy it is to start using.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my current activities using Smartsheet, I have no specific dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my case I use it for projects timeline, is very easy to use and the timeline with all the tasks appears very clear to all stakeholders in the projects.

its a great way to work collaborative with team memebrs to ensure tasks are attended to and we do not miss any steps or deadlines. Also allows for the team to have an overview of responsibilities of tasks

its not as intuitive as other apps so you need to know what your doing but its not hard to learn

The ability to create dashboards. Dashboards makes all project workplans, reports, and tools easily accessible in one place.

It's very steep learning curve for new users.

Turn Chaos into Control
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been very helpful in assiting with planning out my projects and being able to execute tasks on time and when they need to. it helps me collaborate with my team members and ensure eveything is on track

The formulas can be tricky, the introduction of AI has helped with this. Also would like to see resource levelling, to add another layer. click a button resources are levelled.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to easily automate the sheets and that it is very user friendly/easy to learn for someone that has basic knowledge

I dislike that at times the automation does not work

Smartsheets allows my team to collaborate on a project and I love that certain users get notifications to complete certain tasks

I love how smartsheet is truly user friendly and creates a plethora of posibilities with its countless tools.

The Ai user base isnt really much help..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conndesning and consolidating informationing reports to better present information
Lots of useful functionality for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create a workspace with multiple folders and sheets is very useful in project management. Creating forms and collecting responses all within the same space is great for event management. Automations also make work easier where possible. Creating dashboards is fairly straight forward and collecting information across boards into one dashboard is perfect for reporting up.
Getting people added as editors and viewers is also excellent because they don't need a paid license to contribute. This make collaboration with partners easy. There are options to integrate Smartsheet with various applications. I use Smartsheet daily for personal tracking of action items. I also like that you can create as many children rows as you need at the sub-sub level, etc. rather than being restricted. Nesting is important when you want to consolidate information.

What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot group columns the way you can group rows which would be useful. You also cannot automate adding children rows and sometimes automations mean you have to cell link across boards which is time consuming. The visual representation on Smartsheet isn't always the most user friendly becaue you can have a sheet with thousands of rows which is overwhelming for new users. The filter views could look better and be more intuitive for new users as well. Customer support is also lacking in that we completed a paid solutions service that didn't result in something better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet tracks who is responsible for what and under what timeline with automations to remind people to update. This helps save time from tracking people down individually or maintaining a record or reminders. It also allows the team to refer back to the sheet at any time. Since it also tracks usage and timestamps, we can easily follow latest updates.
Easy way to manage a lot of documents with a lot of people
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everyone in our company can get access to the information on Smartsheet and that it saves over the cloud so there isn't risk of losing all of the data that we save there. We have been able to use the sheets for lots of differnet types of information due to the features available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike much. It is more so somewhat difficult to get everyone on board with entering their data into our sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us better share data between our California and Hawaii offices. It helps us keep track of what eachother is working on and eliminates the possibility of duplicating work or orders.
