Best tool for a project manager
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about smartsheets is the templates that are in built.
Its easier to implement project plan when you have a template in place.

The Gantt chart view could be improved a lot. There can be options to look for multiple quarters weeks and give color coding to them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Appropriate business plan.

What do you like best about the product?
I use smartsheet as a spreadsheet and project management tool. In both applications, one of the best parts about Smartsheets is that it integrates the artifact itself (the table or the project) with an organization structure with folders and workspaces, and where you can manage access. In a way, that makes it similar to working with Excel files saved in Sharepoint, but instead of Excel and Sharepoint you have smartsheets, which is a lot lighter and easier to use. Some great features for project management are the different views of your project that you can have and how easily you can build out a plan.
For most spreadsheet users, the features in Smartsheet are probably enough, and you can do basic formulas and create automated workflows (e.g. if a value drops below x, notify someone). There are a lot of pre-build templates for the automated workflows, but it's also pretty easy and intuitive to create your own.
There are also nifty dashboards and rollup reports that you can create using data from multiple different sheets, and you can easily link data across sheets. I haven't used this feature a lot, but I have seen it and it seems easy enough.
Smartsheet also gives you an easy way to create forms, and the results are populated in your table. It's easy to use and has a good UI.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is a convenient tool with a lot of features that most people use in spreadsheets, projects, reporting and dashboarding, it falls short of the powerful features you can have in other applications. The cost of the convenience are things like not being able to create pivot tables or pivot charts. The dashboarding feature looks good, but I couldn't use it because the types of charts I wanted would have required more advanced calculations. As a result, I do find myself exporting my sheet to Excel and working there when I need to.

Another small peeve is that it doesn't autosave. We are accustomed to autosave in M365, and in smartsheets you have to remember to save your work. It does prompt you after 10 minutes that you should save, but I would expect a web based application to always save.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how easy it is to share information with other individuals. Not only so but the icons and menus are easy to use and navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only used Smartsheet to upload and share information and communicate with others. One thing that I didn't like is when I uploaded document or add a comment by accident, I can't delete it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the fact that information is shared in the platform and only those who have access can see it. I like that information shared is confidential.
Great Tool for Timelines and Templates
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and integrate within your project process. The predecessor column is extremely useful when changes come up during the timeline. It is also a great way to templatize a timeline and let all dependencies adjust according to the start or change date.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be tough sometimes to add and remove line items from an ongoing timeline without having to adjust all predecessors. Also would be great to have a view for users that do not have access to SmartSheet, view only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps keep the team on track and understand where we are in any given project. Makes my job easier when roadblocks occurs and timeline have to be adjusted.
Smartsheet review
What do you like best about the product?
Reminders and automation are super useful. Now that I found dynamic view, that has been really useful for workflows also. I have implemented it for project management, as well as for a request form that has been very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to have multiple tabs in a single sheet, which would then give the ability to also archive information into a new tab in the same sheet and not have to create a new sheet. A lot of the features feel hidden and you need to extensively search for forums/videos to figure out how to do things. The attachments row is REALLY small and sometimes hard to see, especially since the cell doesn't automatically get a color or something more visible to indicate something is there. Have not been able to find a way to do the kind of scheduling automation that I need, but this is also tied to not having multiple tabs and not wanting 30+ individual sheets (just some of the ways of inputting, calculating, and manipulating data that excel offers)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminating tons of emails by having users submit a form; being able to automate reminders for deadlines.
Smartsheet integration with DocuSign
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet ease of integration with DocuSign. Exporting documents into DocuSign works very well. The integration is used daily with several teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing documents out of DocuSign into smartsheet is not available. This is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlinies business process freeing users time for other tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy utilizing the different smartsheet views after compiling relevant data in the task list. It is nice to have options that are easily implemented and quick to integrate into any existing project. The customizable views are also nice to manage and tailor to the situations at hand. I enjoy that there are usually several smartsheet community threads that I can read when others have similar problems and customer support provides great feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there is no way to merge rows or columns, which would better communicate groupings and shared information. I also wish there were more options to display data in dashboards.

Smartsheet helps delegate and track tasks for projects of all phases, whether they are quick tasks or multiphase projects. It helps serve as a task list and maintain current statuses on action items needed for product launch. It helps me display critical timeline data to executive management to help guide their decision making.
User Friendly and extremely collaborative
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and simple it is to manuver in smartsheets, as a first time user i find it very helpful to keep track of my projects. the automations are extremly helpful and accurate.

So far there is nothing i dont like, i've been able to trak my projects successfully

We have over 200 ongoing projects, and smartsheets has been a great tool to track all those projects, along with leasing requesting which are mostly sent via email, and part of my job is to make sure we track them on smartsheets, and so far i've been able to do a great job, thanks to smartsheets
Differentiated from excel for project management and organization
What do you like best about the product?
The organization of work spaces, gantt chart ability, assigning tasks through the platform, tagging users through the platform and triggering emails
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a useful financial modeling platform, folks are generally less experienced in it required kick-off calls or additional user training
