Good Functionality for Project Management and Project Portfolio Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is great for project management and has a lot of recognizable functionality, similar to Excel, allowing users to get creative when creating columns. It also has strong and easy to use automation capabilities built in that allow for reduction of manual work required to maintain Sheets. I use it on a daily basis and across my client portfolio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain functionality in Smartsheet can be difficult to learn, including dashboard creation. There also is limited capability within dashboards that make it complex at times to visualize the statisitcs or data you want to demonstrate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides a great way to collaborate with clients on a production schedule and dashboard. It also helps to track projects and maintain project schedules very easily.
Smartsheets for Educators
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy working with smarsheets. Having a reasonable knowledge of microsoft excel helps immensely, but it is still approachable without excel knowledge. I LOVE the automation feature because it sends updates for me without me having to have consistent maintenance on a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the cons about smartsheets is everyone in your circle has to have the subscription for it to integrate well in the work systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets provides timelines that can easily be replicated and mirrored for future projects and it sends communications reminders to teammates.
Getting Things Done
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a versatile project management tool I use regularly and find very effective. I like the user-friendly interface for adding collaborators, flexibility with sending out notifications for users and ability to see history for each cells. I use it for not only managing timelines, and collaborating with the team but also for managing inventory and more advance timeline and data needs. Super easy to implement and start a new tracker, the ability to customize sheets and ease of pulling data from one sheet to another makes it easy to stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the templates but sometimes they are a bit over compliacted or not trivial, so would appreciate a more modern and intuiative templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking timelines for different activities, inventory of IT systems and Test Methods, audit requests
Excel format for easy adjustments.

I like that its in an excel template and it is easily adjustable.

It takes a bit long for things to save before exiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that Smartsheets is in an easy excel format which I'm used to using for organizing workflow. I also like that its a shared template so that others in my team can see.

intuitive and diverse. Easy to start up and scaable across the organization. Contributor licenses not required.

unable to obtain a customer success representative to assist with product growth in our environment.

Work management solution was needed for enhancement and project requests. This is affordable and scalable.
Making Life Easier
What do you like best about the product?
How easy and straight forward it is to use. I use Smartsheets every day and I have never had any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a business standpoint Smartsheets is the best way to bring all the data together and there is nothing that I dislike about them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of bringing all the information together and collaberating with other departments to make life easier for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how user friendly the platform is! It's very easy to add information to common spaces so the team is always in the loop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how confusing the heirachy can be when creating sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great to see all tasks and their current statuses clearly outlined. This approach makes it easy to ask for updates from each team member, and expectations for completion are well defined.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to filter information which allows me to generate centralized report to each sector that needs a very specific portion of the whole project information that is generated throughout the course of it. This allows me to concentrate on a single task that will benefit in the end the whole team. This in turn gives me better feedback from each department and I'm left with a very small andspecific task list at the end of each day, which in turn I can track easily in my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like is how it won't let me sort and display the information when multiple filter criteria or sorting priorities get change. I can get aorund it by adding more columns that when arranged will show the information as I need it, but once I export the sheet on PDF so to speak, it wont retain the grouped families separated (as shown on the web browser).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have meetings with each client and show the whole scope on the project using my main sheet which in turn will feed the reports for each sector that I'm in charge of. This lets me centralize the information for me and easily and instantly share with the whole team. I feel this integrates the team completely and minimizes errors since each sector only sees the information for it, without the hassle of looking through the whole databse for a specific annotation.
Excellent product, hidden capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and intuitive. I can teach my colleagues how to use it in under 10 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel there are some features that are hidden or unintuitive that I would like to uncover to make sure I am using the product to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We make loans and have several deadlines specified every quarter that are extremely hard to keep track of. With the automated emails from SmartSheet, I can input all these deadlines and I don't lose track of milestones/deadlines.
