Great functionality and flexibility.
What do you like best about the product?
We use the software a project planing tool and to controll some administrative processes within the company. This is a great, flexible tool, that has allowed us to clean up some processes and decrease errors. Also, as a small comapny, with fast-tracked projects, Smartsheet is the perfect tool for the control and planing of our project's activities. Customer support is being timely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Foe someone not familiar with the tool, it can be little frustrating and sometimes hard to understand. We tried to implement a process that invloved the approval of the client and a third party reviewer, unfortunately, we ended up pausing the implementation due to coordination problems. This does not means that smartsheet was not the correct tool, it means that the implementation could take lot of resources when a third party is invoived.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process/Task control and project management.
Smartsheet has been great to use, it is something that requires training to understand.
What do you like best about the product?
The autiomatic features and organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it is not begginer user friendly.

Smartsheet helpw with automatic relys, being able to organize and track repondants, and having a platform for all coworkers to utalize.
Smartsheet Streamlines work
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets can be configured to my needs. It can house other files and attachments making it easily accessible, connecting other documents and files. Lot of training documents. Customer support is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs ready templates with extra functionalities and formulaes for statistical analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps streamline project pipeline, helps manage project timelines, resource allocation and stations project documents, all in one place. Integrates planning, resource management, workflow management, data collection and management reporting dashboard.
Great Solution for Simple, Quick Dashboards but Advanced Functionality Needs to Be Implemented
What do you like best about the product?
The product is user-friendly and easy to learn. You can quickly import spreadsheets and build attractive, customizable and interactive dashboards all within the same day and see results fast. You can also use some basic formulas and have basic automations (ie setup email notifications, change cell content/status) easily with their built-in features. If you require assistance, they have wonderful phone support to help you achieve what you need to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you work with big data, ie over 10,000 rows, you need to import and create and link multiple sheets which can get clunky and cumbersome quickly. Other limitations like only being able to copy and paste 50 rows at a time or delete 3 columns at a time can get tedious. We also found that if you use this tool on a daily basis, there may be outages where all dashboard show up blank sometimes for hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables quick dashboards and reporting to non-technical users. It allows basic customization and visualization which is hepful in communicating with leadership.
User Friendly with Bonus Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I love that multiple users can view, edit, and share the sheets/workspaces without much issue. Attaching a screenshot is super easy, and doesn't make the format go awkward. I love the ability to lock down by column so certain users can only edit certain columns. It easily exports to excel to work with other data and the way the smart form populates the spreadsheet allows us to use it daily with ease. We use single sign on through work and it makes it even easier to share workspaces when our team implemented Smartsheet technology and moved away from the shared drive documetns.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was tough to figure out a way to fill out multiple lines from a smart form to the Smartsheet, but we were able to make it work. When using a shared sheet it is key to pay attention to others who might be in the document at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking, tracing, status updates, team views, and customization are some of the many ways our team is benefiting from Smartsheet. It has created a central workspace for the team to house data so that not only can we all easily view it, but so can our work colleagues and business partners.
Customer Success Manager Review of Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly helpful for organizing my customers & customer launches as a Customer Success Manager. It makes it easy to keep track of tasks and stay on top of who needs to do what on my team. Overall, it's easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Smartsheet tasks could be integrated with another task organizer, such as Google Tasks. That is the place I live and check off all of my tasks, so I find myself taking the tasks from my Smartsheets, and pasting them into my Google Tasks so I don't forget to do them. The emails are nice, but it's not where I look to remember to complete tasks. I also would like it if there was a way to click on a smartsheet and have it open in a new window. I often have multiple smartsheets up at once so this would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, ease of collaboration with teammates, ability to assign tasks to myself/others and track them.
Smartsheet is excellent for tracking project deliverables.
What do you like best about the product?
The automation features unlock a great deal of potential in keeping team members on task and meeting deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does not work well on the iPad browser and its mobile app is under developed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet offers a cloud solution for tracking and managing projects. It allows us to collaborate with vendors in an easy to use platform. Smartsheet can also create free accounts, so our vendors are not financially affected by using the software.
Flexible and Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
We do enterprise software implementation and Smartsheet provides key functionality in several areas that makes it excellent value for money - Gantt charts for project scheduling, SIT and UAT trackers, managed services taskslists and configuration trackers. We have other SaaS based spreadsheets we can use though some customers won't use those because their security model though they are happy to use Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kanban board functionality is weak, some improvements would make it more usable.

Software implemenatation and ongoing managed services support for our customers.

Simple user interface while still powerful.

There is sometimes a lag between sheets that are tied together.

Great Tool for Team Project Work
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an extremely helpful tool for many members of our staff to work together on a project. It helps us keep everyone on the same page so we can work in an orderly and efficient way. All members of the project can see updates and information in real time. It's an excellent way to divide work between many staff members and be able to monitor and track the progress of the project as a whole. It's also extremely helpful to be able to add notes or documents to assist with the tracking. We have used Smartsheet for several years and use it for a wide variety of projects. It is also extremely quick and easy to add people to projects. And Smartsheet's design makes it easy for new users to quickly catch on and get going.

It would be helpful if sheets could be sorted by more than 3 rows

Smartsheet is helping us easily collaborate on projects including collaborations with outside partners.
