Great for Business
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that everything is dealt on real time. Multiple people can be in one sheet at a time, making changes and it will update it as you go.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a lag on the sheet updating. When I login, it tells me I don't have access to anything so if I log out and log back in, it will let me into my workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information from differenet avenues being placed in one location.
I use a lot smartsheet and I like the way that we can have Dashboards and cards

I like best the Dashboards and Cards functionality

It is not that I dislike but I think is not so simple to work in the workflows and the automation to collect data from an external source.

Faciliate the way to collect information thourgh the forms and have an easy dashboard

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many things I love about SmartSheet, so it's hard to list just one:
The organizational options are incredibly flexible. I can create detailed layouts with columns, rows, and conditional formatting that fit the specific needs of my projects. The drop-down menus are particularly useful—they save me so much time by standardizing data entry and reducing manual input errors.
Having SmartSheet on my phone is a huge plus—I can access and update my work from anywhere, making it easy to stay on top of things, even when I’m away from my computer. On top of all that, the ability to upload attachments directly into rows helps keep all related files in one place, so I never have to dig through emails or folders to find what I need.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve with SmartSheet - it took me a minute to get used to it and getting to use it everyday. Though, SmartSheet is always there to help. Anytime I've ever had a question I can either ask SS directly or go onto the many forums where the question is likely to have been asked already.
They are really involved in communicating with thier users and try to make adjusting as easy as they can.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I came into this posistion at this university a year ago - they were currently using EX3L and having to recreate everything, every month and it was very time consuming, not to mention a bit unorganized and confusing.
So to have something that is easily shared between everyone - where I can make charts and tables of my work I have do. Automations save so much time and effort - as well as keeping my sheets more organized.

What do you like best about the product?
It is great for collaboration. Dashboards are easy to create.
What do you dislike about the product?
Elaborate formulas are more difficult to maneuver.

The AI function that was added is very helpful when dealing with the functions.

The true-up process is not well-designed; it requires us to perform a manual process every 90 days.

Smartsheet for MEP Construction
What do you like best about the product?
We have primiarly used Smartsheet to help with keeping track and managing project deadlines. Our main calendar management is done through Outlook mostly for meeting scheduling and then we use Smartsheet to track project deadlines. There are a lot of features in Smartsheet that we haven't fully utilized yet but hope to in the future.
Along with the deadline management, the workflows that can be used are super helpful in reminding staff of upcoming dates as well as if dates are changed within a project manager's Sheet. I would love to learn more about how automated processes can help us be more efficient and keep all team members informed.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Outlook interface in the baseline Smarsheet subscription doesn't quite achieve what we would ideally be able to get out of it. With a company of our size, we don't really have the ability to subscribe to add ons. A more seemless integration to Outlook would be a great addition.
We currently use Ajera for our accounting/billing software, which also has a resource management tool but it's geared more toward the accounting side of things and not the ease of use for scheduling staff.
Beyond that, it's meeting the need of our company for the reasons that we initially started using Smartsheet.

Managing multiple project schedules at one time and being able to keep all of the project teams up to speed with dates as they move around.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is useful, collaborative, and helps to organize and analyze key information as a team. The options and possibilities for working with data related to our projects are endless! Once you get the hang of it is easy to use. Each person can set their own settings for a customized experience but the team can use a consistent approach as well. We use it often to track information and analyze it together as a team both internally and externally while the teams we use it with externally are not always familiar with it, we have been able to implement it easily across state teams. We have also been able to integrate key data from our tracking system into a dashboard to show hightlights on a weekly basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit overwhelming and a lot to learn at first. Some external partners, even after using it for some time, report that it is still a bit overwhelmeing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to work together in real time as a team on the same project. We are able to create a consistent experience across the team, yet everyone has the flexibilty to customize their own exeprience to some degree as well. It helps streamline communicate across the team, high key details from the data, track and organize the data so that it can be analyzed, and keep track of the status of many project items at one time.

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive due to it's Excel-like nature and functionality. Esy to create dashboards around your data and the workflow/notification functionality is great for keeping project constituents informed.

Sometimes hard to share with non-Smartsheet users.

It's very intuitive, making it easy to learn and implement quickly.
The workflow feature is helpful for communication and action triggers. The variety of templates provides a great starting point for newbies.
I also find the option filters in the Reports very good, as they allow me to combine multiple criteria to get precisely the information my stakeholders need.
The workspaces are also quite helpful in grouping/separating the projects and managing access.
For dealing with external users, the Dynamic View is a great feature.

I like that Smartsheet provides a clear, organized way to track tasks, deadlines, and progress, making it easier to collaborate with others and stay on top of projects. The customizable templates and automation features also save time and improve efficiency

I dislike that Smartsheet can be a bit overwhelming for new users due to its many features and complex interface. It also lacks some advanced customization options and can become costly, especially for larger teams.

Smartsheet is helping me manage projects more smoothly by keeping everything in one place. It makes it easier to keep track of tasks, deadlines, and who's responsible for what, which cuts down on confusion and back-and-forth emails. It's like having a clear roadmap for everyone, which saves time, reduces stress, and helps us all stay on the same page and get things done faster.
