Great transparency in our construction projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet became an essential tool for our team, especially in terms of keeping communication clear and avoiding mistakes. I really like the feature that lets us assign editing options, resticting that only particular colleagues can edit specific parts of the sheet. As a result, our team was no longer faced with the risk of a colleague inadvertently doing an edit in a way he/she was not supposed to. From my perspective, it’s been remarkably user-friendly, even for colleagues who aren’t as tech-savvy (which is very commin in my industry). On a daily basis, I access Smartsheet for many actions such as construction tracking, review planning, or even just getting a firm grip on everything on my To-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature I wish was available is the ability to copy automation across grids or workspaces, as repeating all the same tasks in each grid would be such a drag, besides, it would take a lot of time, too. Additionally, connecting cards between boards seems a little bit strange to me, I also often think how many times I could do this faster and more efficiently if there were an easier way to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The transparency Smartsheet provides on our operations has proven to be invaluable. It doesn't matter whether it's our material stock monitoring or our project leads managing deadlines, everybody stays aligned. The Timeline view which has been primarily helpful to keep track of the responsibilities has been a real bread and butter for me. I like that we have incorporated checkboxes and alerts for QA/QC so that construction can proceed only when requirements accuracy has been confirmed, and that is one less thing to worry about.
Effective means of managing an admin heavy role where organisation is key.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and short-winded nature of it..
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to log into it rather than it being readily available on desktop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks to different team members without having to rely on that person to manage their own time effectively as well as allowing clients to be able to input their timings in parallel on a project timeline for example.
Smartsheet as a professional Project Management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Possibility to have a complete project plan using a sheet, with formulas, dependencies, conditional formatting.
Another big big plus is the ability to collaborate with other colleagues: automated requests for update and conversations are a great mean to keep any plan updated, and also in terms of audit.
Additionally, the ability to create custom automated workflows is a powerful tool to use for many other tasks (create specific sheets with subset of data, send out notifications, etc.)

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I really dislike, but for sure I can suggest some improvements:
1) Dashboarding and reporting: it is not exactly simple to create nice graphs to plot in a dashboard, when it comes to time series: including the time dimension in the one managed by the dashboard would be a great improvement
2) Backups: the backup only concern sheets, it should be full with also reports, dashboards etc. Moreover, when you create a backup adn for example you want to import it back to another workspace, you cannot import many other important artifacts such as comments (with their history) and mainly attachments, that need to be re-attached one by one to the proper line

Standardize the project management tools and approach. Main benefit is the possibility to have a collaborative but controlled environment and improve the overall level of governance.

Streamlining deliverables across teams
What do you like best about the product?
Before starting in my current role, I was using tools like Google and Excel for tracking multifaceted project. In Google, I was not able to have sheets "talk" to each other, and columns were full of clunky and cumbersome links. Smartsheet offers easily digestable videos and guides to tackle your issues. There is quick communication and support from their customer help desk and really helpful forums. I appreciate that I can implement project plans and connect gold star sources to many different reports and tools. It is easy to integrate!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wonder if Smartsheet could cater their 101 trainings to different roles and have samples of how different kinds of Smartsheet toools connect to each other. For example--are you a Project Manager? Try using THIS schedule template and deriving THESE reports and putting them into a visual dashboard LIKE THIS. Having smartsheet model what can be connected together would be really helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many people collaborating on certain parts of a workstream. When each person can update their own lines that feeds into my overall schedule, I can have a comprehenesive view of all of the work happening without having to nag people and snoop on lots of project plans.
Good for Collecting Data
What do you like best about the product?
I've mostly been using smartsheets to send out forms and organize the data I've collected. The export features are convenient and it is very user friendly. I like that I can add users to a spreadsheeet that don't have paid accounts. That way data can be shared automatically with other team memembers as it comes in. I also enjoy the workflow/notification system.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you add a new field to the form, it doesn't put the field in the equivalent spot on the spreadsheet. It always places it at the end, so you have to go into the spreadsheet and move it. I would like to be able to add more than one spot for form users to add documents for upload. Then I could include the link to upload right next to the relevant questions. The number of features and capabilities can sometimes be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Team is divided between several instituitions. We can't use Goolge docs/forms or Microsoft forms because they are blocked by IT at some of the instituitions (hospitals). Smartsheets has not been blocked so we are all able to access it.
Efficiency of our data.
What do you like best about the product?
First, I like that it comes with an app so I can work with all my icons separately. I love it that it has data behind on each student ID, so it basically works like a database but in spreadsheets and forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the app when saving it is not uploaded immediately on the web view. Also when I'm working on the app, I can't see my peers connected.
When moving files to the comments I can only do it in the app version. But after I move the file, my co-workers can only open it on the web version. The problem is not just this, because each staff use different devices, so some of them have the app installed and some others don't have it.

Perfect for Task Management and Gantt Charts
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to make gantt charts. The functionality to link predecessors is much easier than other software I have used (ganttpro). I also love how easy it is to assign tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have struggled using some of the pre-defined templates; however, the ability to save my own drastically mitigates that concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is not always easy to convey dependabilities while making gantt charts. The predecessor function makes it easy to keep track of the critical path.
An amazing tool for tracking ongoing project progress and management
What do you like best about the product?
My best experience with Smartsheet is I can easily schedule task and easily assign to my team members. Its automation is very flexible and robust while tracking project progress and automate the notification to the assigned user including assignee on each task done. It is easy to setup, easy to prioritize task or set deadlines. Its layout options of data display is also very intuitive and offers multiple view options like grid, calendar view etc. User friendly for both mobile and desktop users and quick to learn tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet offers vast bundle of features and its basic features doesn't required any documentation to learn but some complex features are has steep learning curve for the beginners. Pricing could be better for small size organization as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Major problem like internal task management, management of project delivery on time, Better communication within the team over the same task sheet and many more. It helps to optimize the team efficiency on project delivery with maintaining the strong communication and quality on the project.

Smartsheet is easy to integrate with existing software and is compatible with multiple Operating systems

It has a steep learning curve but once mastered can make work easy.
