Very cool and diverse product. Love it!
What do you like best about the product?
I am a Data Analyst and love Smartsheets! Outside of my strong recommendations on a couple improvements outlined in the "What do you dislike about Smartsheet?" section, our office uses Smartsheets almost daily. This software has been an incredibly helpful tool to assist our office communication and productivity. A very simple example is the ability to create dropdown menus. This is helpful because you don't have to take the time to type something in the field unless it is outside the normal things set up for that column of information.
I also really like, in a worksheet, the ability to view the workload as a Gantt chart. This has been helpful to easily identify places in the year where workload could be shifted.

What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish you could cut and paste just one row, for example, from one Smartsheet worksheet to another! This would be very helpful. As it is, you can only cut and paste the row label and not the entire row, and because of this, you basically have to recreate the row in your new sheet.
Another small detail that would be helpful would be to have the ability to delete those first three flag-type columns if they are not going to be used in a particular worksheet (i.e., attachments and chat/comments columns). I say this because, for sheets these are not utilized, they just take up precious room on the left side of your screen, and as a result, you have to scroll over to see another column that would show up otherwise.
Also, I really wish licenses for the product were cheaper! Because they are so expensive, my office is going to have to begin limiting the amount of people in the office who hold a license. This will, of course, limit the number of my co-workers that can create and own a Smartsheet platform. This is very frustrating because, although we widely use shared worksheets etc., most of us also create personal spaces to help our work productivity by tracking projects in more detail.

Smartsheet had enabled my office to communicate and work more effectively/efficiently in terms of employee responsibility tracking and individual task/project tracking. Being able to easily identify which person is working on which part of a project is so helpful. For example, one sheet we have designed to alert the next person when a report is ready for their review.

Great product when used correctly/ Read fine print with account manager and renewals
What do you like best about the product?
Great product to help orginize projects throughout the entire org. Ease of use and SSO is a great add in. Managers use daily. Support is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Read the fine print. Make sure you are removing auto-renewal every year. Add-Ins are ridiculously expensive.

Great software, but could use a little more work
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is very easy to implement, if you are familiar with using excel or google sheets, this will be easy for you to pick up. There are alot of unique features that allow a more customized experience between changing out the column options to changing the view style of the schedule. My team uses smartsheets everyday to keep track of progress and tasks on our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel there are features that would make smartsheets easier to use and integrate into a companies list of used softwares. You are able to move rows around, but if you already have a relationship with a predessor or successor set into that row, it does not change after you moved the task inside of the schedule.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets can be shared with everyone on my team which allows for a more collabative effort when putting together a project schedule, previously this was not the case and we relied on one person to handle building the schedule and then having multiple meetings with different teams to finalize the schedule, now we are able to have all of the teams input the information and only have one meeting to make sure everything is aligned.
Great Options for Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the different features of SmartSheet. There are plenty of formulas, drop downs, programming options etc that allow for customization for different usage of forms. I am able to use smartsheets for tracking, form usage, and scheduling which is great for different business needs on one platform. It has a great user interface that is simple to understand and use across different business needs. It's a daily used platform for my work role.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were a bit more user intuitive to see what previous user's changes to the sheet were.

It allows for multiple people to track tasks and assign as necessary.
Helpful in keeping track of ever-changing data
What do you like best about the product?
It has helped me tremendously in keeping track of our foreign honorary fellows: arrival/departure dates, status of visa, vaccines, applications submitted/approved. I use it every day and am consistently updating.

It took me a while to learn and become comfortable with Smartsheet. I had to google a lot of things I was unsure about.

I love that you can set up auto-reminders through emails that will remind me to initiate a task at the proper time.

Smartsheet helps get orginized quick and helps set up any task quick. We use it on a daily basis and it has helped out my team keep track of everthing in the task.

I basically love this product. I would like to see more financial options but, for the most part, it is great.

Feature Rich and Incredibly Customizable
What do you like best about the product?
It builds on the strengths of Excel and project management tools like Asana to provide a sort of 'one stop shop' for our team. I am a daily user, and take adantage of its form integration, data visualization as well as its basic project management features. I have been impressed by how simple it is to use the platorm and how quickly I have been able to integrate it into my worklow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are couple bugs related to formulas that reference other sheets. It has a hard time using relative referancing in this instance.

I work on a government adjacent granting program that provides services to hundreds of small business owners. We use smartsheets to collect data, track performance, track our internal processes and collaborate across our team.
Excellent project management tool for large datasets
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is its ability to effortlessly handle massive data sets, which is crucial for managing global compliance projects. The built-in Gantt charts are particularly useful for visualising timelines and dependencies, helping to keep the project on track.
While it took some effort to initially set up for this particular project, Smartsheet was easy to use overall, especially since most people are familiar with Excel—this does everything Excel does but with the additional automation features. This is essentially Excel on steroids.
The biggest thing I love is how you can use the reports in Smartsheet to integrate with PowerBI for dashboarding, allowing those who don’t want to dive into the data to still get a holistic picture of the project. Smartsheet's combination of robust data management, automation tools, and seamless integration makes it an invaluable asset for project management.

There's not much I specifically dislike about Smartsheet, but one feature that could enhance the experience is the integration of AI capabilities. Having AI to auto-populate fields, suggest formulas, and provide insights would be a great addition. Additionally, integrating the app more seamlessly with AI could streamline workflows even further, making the tool even more powerful for project management.

This is especially beneficial for upholding responsibility, as it makes it easy to assign tasks, set deadlines, and automate reminders for upcoming or overdue items. By having all this information in one place, Smartsheet helps us stay organised and accountable, ensuring that no important obligations slip through the cracks and that projects are completed on time.
