A Time Investment makes the Software "Worth it"
What do you like best about the product?
what I value in a product or service. It's the Benjamin Button effect - a product that gets better with use. A service that combines entertainment and discovery, like Spotify, is a winner in my book.
Smartsheet obviously is a project management software but I am pleasently surprised with the enhancements that have intuitiviely made it easier to use smartsheets.

What do you dislike about the product?
It feels like cluttered. I am sure it is easy to save projects in an organized way but I have not been able to be super well organized in smartsheets traditionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency within the project management process.
Smartsheet as a collaborative productivity tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet is accessible for team members from any internet connected device entirely through a web browser, that it allows a large number of tools for tracking multiple tasks, coordinated efforts, visualizing and tracking project timelines (via Gantt charts, etc.), task and phase progress, as well as put together tracking spreadsheets, and all while allowing all team members to make updates, and report progress simply and in real time. It offers many tools that have traditionally been offered by much pricier software options, and is fairly easy to learn and use.
I like that basic user licenses are free to use, and that full functionality licenses are relatively inexpensive (approx. $10/user/month, I believe). Compared to other business software and Saas enterprise options, this price point seems very accessible even for small businesses.
No doubt the free basic user feature is part of Smartsheet's marketing strategy to gain faster early adoption, and it remains to be seen how that continues as the company grows in market share.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not care for many of the restrictions on free license users (ability to create new smartsheet documents, or alter layout of documents like adding columns to a spreadsheet). I understand how that plays into the general marketing strategy to convert more users to a paying basis, but I would appreciate some UI cues highlight which features are available or not given the current license user's status.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows many members of my team to provide updates to the several moving parts in projects that can become quite complex. It allows for simplification for meeting prep, and for holding fewer meetings, as well as having shorter, more productive meetings, all of which save time for doing actual work.
Using Smartsheets to share figures between teams within business

Smartsheet, for the most part is really easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy all of the options for creating that they offer. They offer survey creations, as well as different symbols to provide a better visual experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The conditional formatting set up is a little complicated. I wish I could select cells and apply all of the rules to, but it has you choose a reference column and a delivery colum. If this function was set up more like excel, it would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to collaborate with many different people.
Health Center Workflow Improvments

Collaborative space for vendors and customers
What do you like best about the product?
A good collabortive space between customers and vendors. We share a sheet with a few major customers to communicate new purchase orders, forcasting, lead times, shipping and technical issues. I enjoy also plotting out certain shcedules with the calendar format and being able move items.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the colum structures a bit restictive between string vs integers. The formula structures between sheets are glitchy and hard to diagnose is issues arise. The reporting sheets are weak and hard to use. Customization of charts/graphs are a pain also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between customers

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great tool to use for real time sharing of data and spreadsheets, asset tracking and task management on our project. It's very unser friendly, once you understand how things like the reports module works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it does not update correctly in real time on an iPad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can modify data workflows for different levels of access to each of the teams on our project. Only show what you want to show each team using custom reports, showing our live project data and metrics.
Revolutionary product

My Take on Smartsheet: What Works and What Doesn’t
What do you like best about the product?
Easy interface, strong teamwork, handy templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costly, complex for newbies, limited Gantt charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps with a bunch of common project headaches. For starters, its spreadsheet-like layout makes it easy to keep track of tasks and deadlines, so you know exactly who’s doing what and when. The real-time updates and shared sheets make communication a breeze, keeping everyone on the same page and reducing mix-ups. Plus, the dashboards and reporting tools pull all your project data into one place, so you can quickly see how things are going and make smart decisions.
It also takes the stress out of managing resources. You can easily keep an eye on workloads and make sure no one’s getting overwhelmed. The automation features are a huge time-saver, handling repetitive stuff like notifications and status updates automatically. Overall, Smartsheet makes project management more organized and less of a hassle, letting you focus on the important stuff.

Costly, but powerful software.
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike tools such as Google Sheets, workflow templates and reminders make it so special. The previous quarter, we had a very significant project where the workflow templates helped us optimize time in repetitive tasks. All templates come with easy to understand, no-jargon descriptions, hence choosing the right one for my particular needs is easy. Setting up automation features is straightforward, and saves much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The little business licenses can be a little costly, and I have seen the interface that is a little bit hard to navigate. Finding alert customizations took me forever and was making my day less productive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use Smartsheet visualizing project details and simplifying collaboration. We mostly used it to track our organized events; it made coordination seamless and kept everything in one secure place. The data security aspect is also a significant benefit - no more worrying about unauthorized access to sensitive information.
