A Dynamic and Versatile Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the highly customizable and flexible templates that are suitable for various projects. The powerful reporting tools help to track project progress in real-time, which enhances team collaboration. Smartsheet is used as a day-to-day reporting tool to ensure sponsor follow-up on study development. This means that each stage is registered frequently. The simplicity of the design makes it easy to use and implement the templates, resulting in an overall easy integration of studies.
Additionally, customer support is excellent in case of doubts.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find it complex to use for new users. More specific training may help to maximize the tool's usability faster.

Smartsheet ensures that you have an up-to-date overview of client-company-team project management follow-up.
Excellent Organization Tool
What do you like best about the product?
You have the chance to categories names for columns to anything you wish, eg. Customer, Dates, Product, Notes. You can hyperlink folders in cloud, upload docs and images all for everyone to easily access. There is the ability for you to switch layout view with the click of a button, including gnatt and grid view
It is easy to use for non-tech savy people, with links from your main screen through to a help page with many avalible sources to help get the answers you require to perform your best work. Very similar to the likes of excel, with formulas and automations for data

What do you dislike about the product?
Often when clicking notifications i have to manually scroll to the line with new data, it doesnt automatically go to the line with the noticifation

What do you like best about the product?
Accessability, database feel, ability to create transparency through reports and dashboards, shareability among many groups, tracking progress in project management, repository of records with attachments, finding all in one place, automation, connectibitlity, and many many more.

What do you dislike about the product?
Forms not being able to be completed halfway and saved and need to be done in one shot - big drawback
Bars for sliding from one section of smartsheet to another in the bottm, especially when you freeze the smartsheet, goes missing and we have to reload or minimize/maximize to get them back.

Character count on text fields - time to increase it as we are doing project management and there are a lot of notes

Collaboration, prioritization, visibility, access, and real time both with online and mobile. Helps us stay connected and up to date on the projects

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets' key advantages over competitors (Monday.com, Asana, etc.) are its lesser learning curve (i.e., Excel is ubiquitous, and the similarity makes training end users minimal) and the organizational cost control the "creators versus collaborators" strategy/framework Smartsheet uses to monetize their intellectual property. With competing platforms, any employee responsible for commenting, updating their tasks, and adding new tasks (i.e., collaborators) in a board/sheet created by the owner would require a license. So, for enterprise organizational adoption, the price point becomes difficult to justify (~$50 per license per month) for hundreds of users who generally aren't maximizing the system's capabilities. This encourages large segments of the organization to be unlicensed and reliant on legacy processes/systems, and the licensed user performs asynchronous and tedious admin work to centralize the collaboration in the work/project management solution. However, using Smartsheet, you can have a select number of super users (i.e., creators requiring licenses) who design the collaborative work product that hundreds of non-licensed employees use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Competing platforms have more advanced functionality, especially third-party apps and system integrations (native APIs, etc.). However, the biggest pain point, in relation to Monday.com in particular, is that Smartsheet forces users to create their dashboard (via linking the numerous sheets the user works in into a user-specific "to-do list" sheet). That requires someone with an advanced skill set that the typical end user won't have. This contrasted to Monday.com, which has a native "My Work" feature that automatically collects all tasks a user is assigned to across all boards/workspaces into a de facto dashboard organized by weeks and other easy-to-build add-on filters (e.g., task priorities).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great for managing projects where the nature of the project/system is complex, and as a professional services team you don't want to force your client project team to learn a complex project management tool simultaneously with a nonintuitive project management solution (i.e., the historical paint points of implementing a robust/complex ERP system while also forcing your client project team to learn MS project). Its flexibility is also great as a stopgap solution or bridge solution when you've got a business need and don't have a system specifically designed for the use cases. For example, we aren't an IT company and have a small IT support staff. As such, we can't justify paying for and implementing a true ITSM. However, we need a ticketing system. For example, our ERP provider doesn't have a module or bolt-on application well-suited for a new requirement of our business operations. It's not enough of a pain point to justify implementing a new ERP that has this native capability, or implementing a point solution that integrates with our existing ERP. So, we will use Smartsheet to manage the workflows, data, and collaboration to meet the business requirements.
Easy to use and collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
I like that is runs on a web browser. I have used Microsoft Project and found Smartsheet to be much more flexible since you can use it from anywhere with a web browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "% Complete" function when there are many subtasks doesn't seem to really work very well. The numbers are not accurate.

Easy way to organize large projects, can easily collaborate with others.

Easy to use, and easy to adap to your needs.

the actuall sheets are very easy to navigate and customize, but the filing system and sharering is a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it reduce the amount of emails on the organization, this is a centralize place where a group of people can work and add info and is visible to everybody, this reduce the amount of emails for the users.
All around a good product
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, very user friendly and more digestible than traditional spreadsheet software. Used for resource and budget management heavily.

It doesn't always have capabilities like Excel does. It can also be harder to find out how to do specific tasks.

Planning resourcing, helping schedule smaller tasks within a bigger project
Multiple use and functions
What do you like best about the product?
There's a range of uses for Smartsheet and the ability to easily navigate and customize features to meet the needs of projects works great. There's a wide range of programs to import/export data from.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's limitations on some functions in regards to functions and calendars.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides a platform that the project team all has accesss to and has the ability to view "live".
I have used Smartsheet for two years overall it has been a positive experience.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that smartsheet allows multiple people to work on projects at the same time in real time. Love the customization we can do on form submissions. we have been using it to plan a lot of our events.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is frustrating tha the system is down so often since we have so much of our business relying on it. Wish we could see the last save when this happens since it often leaves us flying blind when we are trying to organize events and such. feels like we struggle to get answers when we are working with customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a pretty specific use cae. Our team mostly uses it to track sales and update external teams that need to make contact with the purchaser. We tend to use it in a way that is more similar to excel
Easy way to keep things organized with a team!
What do you like best about the product?
One of my most used items is the "Forms"! So easy to make a nice looking form and send the link to anyone. I also love the calendar and all the features that come with it. I can few it in spreadsheet form or by month. They also make it super easy to embed in a website! They also make it so easy to navigate!
What do you dislike about the product?
I like that it is simple, but I wish some of the formulas from excelt transferred over a little better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I share an excel sheet with the team, sometimes they get lost, or formulas get messed up. Smartsheets is all in one place, clean, easy and straightforward to use.
