Smartsheet works wonders for our PPM
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets ability to automate certain tasks and mails is a huge plus for my department. User takes responsilbity of their own tasks and have the overview they need to plan their time. Being able to use templates to quickly create a new project, and the ease of which we can make minor edits in those templates is great. Also that the templates guarantee that our project processes are the same every time. The rapports are super helpful to.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit heavy of a project to dance with - while also fairly easy to use, there are some technical aspects which require a person to be fairly into knowing Smartsheet even on our day-to-day basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating projects that cross many different departments wouldn't be possible for us without a program like Smartsheet. We engage almost the entire house when working on a project.
Users taking responsiblity of their tasks - these do not come from our department, they come from 'the program'
Ease of use for users - even those often in the field. Smartsheet provides a simple overview and fairly user friendly interface.

Very friendly user interface and full of functionalities and features.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit heavy on the browser. Sometimes there is a bit of lag between click and response

What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the flexibil That it provides like the interface that is familiar to many users but is also highly customizable.
Secondly, I really like the collaboration features like getting real time updates, sharing your sheets and commenting.
Lastly, it has these amazing automation features that can streamline repetitive tasks and save time and reduce errors.

What do you dislike about the product?
I personally think that it can be relatively expensive compared to other project management solutions. The pricing structure may be a barrier for small organizations with limited budgets.
Moreover the free version of smartsheets has limited features and functionality which may not be sufficient for the users needing more advanced capabilities.

It solves several problems in project collaboration like:
1. It consolidates project information into a single platform which helps keep all the team members aligned and informed.
2. The ability to assign tasks, set deadlines and track progress helps ensure that responsibilities are clear and that project stay on schedule.

What do you like best about the product?
Like the ability for multiple team members to be working in a file at the same time and to be able to easily access documents via the app on iPhone

Formatting and filtering are particularly tough and different from Excel

Sometimes, the data entered might be same which should have a way to be detected

Way more than just 'an online spreadsheet'
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great project management tool. Although it might look like an "online spreadsheet" at first, the more you learn from it and start using it in your day-to-day, you realize the amount of work it can help you with. We have integrated it in our operations support model, and it easily allows us to handle handovers, shifts, record assessments, etc. becoming a tool we use every day.
Moreover, some of our teams have developed scorecards to reflect the progress on the projects we are all working on.
It has become very comfortable to manage most of our activities through a single tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
You need to pass throught the learning curve, and although it is an online tool, pages don't update in real time. These are just minor nuisances, as compared to the benefits you get when using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had problems with the workload visibility and following standardizing protocols in our operations. The forms developed in Smartsheet streamline and automate some of our daily work.

What do you like best about the product?
I find the the use of Smartsheet's to be fairly easy. I like how it keeps all parties associated with a project up to date on tasks and when they are due. I use Smartsheets daily and am constantly implimenting for every proect. The integration with the dashboard and reports are one of my favorite applications. Our representative at smartsheets has laways been supportive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have issues with the notifications to internal and extenral users. The emails notification on tasks due don't always go out and something the email is confusing for clients.
