Smartsheet makes my task easy and efficient.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can create a form that has a spereadsheet and dashboard attached to it. I like how when changes are made it flows seamlessly. I also like how I can keep track of task and goals I set for myself and department
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet take a little while to learn and become efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves my task management and project management while collaborating with other departments.

Smartsheet's various built in tools create an adaptable tool for businesses that need functrionality excel cannot provide.

Smartsheet is not always the most intuitive tool for those who are not tech savvy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before having a full CRM, Smartsheet allowed me to create a version of a CRM that helped to manage clients and projects effectively.
Smartsheet for Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about smartsheet for me is the collaboration aspect along with the automation. This greatly helps with our workflow in IT in ensuring things are done in the correct order and on time. I do find setting up users and using the product itself to be intuitive and not have any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had some issues with Smartsheet support not being as responsive as expected and we have experienced a few short outages over our time using the product which has hurt our ability to use the product sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is mainly solving the collaboration problem with traditional excel sheets as we do not have MS365 to utilize sharepoint/excel online to its fullest.
Good Option for Mac Users
What do you like best about the product?
Sharable, simple, works with Mac, similar to Project so the learning curve is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Printing to PDF is hard read and does not look as good as other products. Formatting options are limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building and maintaining construction schedules. Our team uses Mac, so the cloud option works well since Microsoft Project is not compatible

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets have the same feel as using Excel, complete with tables, formulas, and more. The difference is that it is easier to use to organize for non-advanced computer users, and provides different view options to organize tables however an individual may need to see it. We use it to manage our projects and communicate efficiently.
The fact that it is table-driven has made it easy for us to transition into and implement. It follows a logical order and setup that is familiar to everyone. We use it every day and it doesn't require much training for new employees.
The integrations are handy; we use several to help with additional notifications, streamlining processes, and additional communication.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions would be handy to have (such as hyperlink formulas and hyperlinking non-URLs), or additional flexibility that is not yet released (such as some views requiring the specific organization of columns within a table and can not just be selected in the settings). Both are minor and can be worked around.
We also set up custom integrations using the API and have run into errors due to busy responses or no responses coming from Smartsheet.

Our ERP is not user-friendly. Smartsheet has become the front end of our ERP for everything except for financial data.

Smartsheet is a very versitile tool and intuitive tool to use

There are some limititions of the system however, in the Smartsheet community you can usually find work arounds

Smartsheet offers a very strightforward way to build and manage timelines as well as assign resources
Engineering Firm PM Experience with SmartSheet
What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet has been a great tool for me to track multiple projects in one place with multiple ways for my engineers to povide content and feedback on project progress. The interface is easy to understand and visually pleasing - I like using the dashboard feature for client interfacing and sheets and report for internal work. There are lots of resources easily accessible online to help me learn how to better use SmartSheet and tie in with other programs my company uses. I also am a fan of the desktop app they recently released, giving me the option to interface with my work in a browser or the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish SmartSheet would develop more tools to help me achieve certain workflows without a deep knowledge of how to program in Excel. For the most part, I can get most of my desired data and reporting with a little googling, but more resources to help with coding more complex tasks would be great. That being said, SmartSheet is still by far my favorite product I have tested for project health reporting in my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a way to track project health that easily integrated input gathered from the engineers on my projects without me having to ask them or them remembering to tell me - using forms and other automated workflows, I can now get regularly updated data from those engineers that automatically logs to my sheets and updates reports on those tasks/projects.
Recommended Tool for Accounting & Finance
What do you like best about the product?
Great for managing and organizing projects/workflows, especially where team collaboration is needed
What do you dislike about the product?
Sheets are not as easy to view when the feature for filtering multiple citeras is used
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great for allowing mutiple users to view and edit sheets simultaneously and approvers can receive email notifications when entries are ready for review. It also serves as the central location for saving supporting documentation.
My experience has been excellent so far.

The automations. It has made data collections for me much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the lack of formal training on Smartsheet to be a significant challenge when I first started using the platform. Without proper guidance, it was difficult to navigate and utilize its features effectively. While I’ve managed to learn some aspects on my own, I believe dedicated training sessions would greatly enhance my understanding and ability to leverage Smartsheet to its full potential.

Smartsheet is helping me manage my data. It has been instrumental through my job.
SmartSheet is a Great tool for Teams in Different Departments
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about SmartSheets, is that the other departments can work on a live sheet with attachments etc. At Planmeca we have the Events Team attaching invoices from other vendors that we work with requesting to be paid. Our Team gets notified and items get taken care of, without a lot of phone calls emails etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Smartsheet right now is that I can not cut and paste anything into the search field.

Venodors get paid faster with Smartsheet use.
