We love Smartsheet! Allows Team to Accurately Track Work Flow & Accept New Projects with Confidence
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in allowing our team to juggle priorities on many overlapping project timelines. It's easy to use and understand and provides us with insight into our daily workflow, upcoming future work and allows us to estimate our lead times to take on additional projects. We use this program consistently throughout the workday and individual reports provide a great visual for each team member. One of my favorite features for our team is commenting, as you're able to respond right in Smartsheet at individual task lines so it keeps a written record of any project task questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
New features are not always available across all formats. For example, the new Timeline view is not able to be used for Reports (yet), where this feature would be most useful to our team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to track all project progress in one program. We also keep all of the project documentation in timelines, either via cloud-based links or attachments. It's streamlined our lead time estimations as well.

What do you like best about the product?
I work in accounting and receive numerous tasks with quick turnaround times daily. To manage these tasks and collaborate with my team, I use Smartsheet. We utilize premade sheets with Gantt Charts and other templates to facilitate our monthly close process. Smartsheet makes it easy to organize and share notes with the rest of the team and track the turnaround time for each task within one sheet.
Smartsheet, a software you can connect with online rather than download, is a big plus when implementing it across the company. IT could set up logins for everyone and use them on the same day without issue.
Another feature I enjoy is that it's software that I can easily connect to customer support. So, if I do experience any issues or need better understanding, it's easier to connect with someone, which is different from other familiar systems that you just download on your computer and have to learn on your own without the added support.

My team has been struggling to adapt to the new software. They are used to using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, so using a tool like Smartsheet feels unfamiliar to them. The main issues are with the user interface and ease of use, especially in comparison to more popular options.
Another challenge is finding the best templates for specific tasks. For example, when looking for finance-related templates, I mostly find ones related to personal finance rather than templates suitable for an accounting team within a business.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the significant problems solved by Smartsheet is project and task management. The software makes it easier to incorporate various features into a sheet than other software. It allows for simple tagging of other users, tracking and managing turnaround times for tasks, and better project organization among teams and employees. The ease of plugging in something within a column speeds up processes and ensures that I'm not coding something wrong by having to enter a formula to get a feature that is just a plug-in within Smartsheet.
Smartsheet Simplifies Shared Sheets
What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation features, and the customizability of the column types/what is allowed. I also find it to be a better alternative to a shared Excel sheet because there are fewer ways to get in someone else's way while accessing the shared document with Smartsheet. The powerautomate connections are also fantastic and make automating data into Smartsheets a breeze. The filter options are also really useful and intuitive, and I love how easy it is to set a filter for myself, or share it with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needing a license to be able to create and edit Smartsheets. The cost associated with adding licenses has been a barrier for us in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easily accessible, easy to understand shareable document to share information with various parties. For example, we use one to keep track of new hires coming into the company. This gives specific managers and departments visibility into who is starting when, without needing editing permission or running into the "older version" problem that can happen with shared Excel sheets. This information needs to be accurate to all parties viewing the document to ensure that we are able to get a new employee onboarded without any hiccups. When Excel documents save mutliple copies of the file, lock themselves for editing when someone else has it open, etc. it creates hiccups that can be very detremental to our onboarding process.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are endless possibilities for how to utilized Smartsheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting the hang of how to use Smartsheets does take a lot of time up front. However putting in the work ahead of time saves you time later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smarsheet is able to provide a collaborative workspace. To be able to prompt additional members of the team to keep the project going.

I use it to make list and make sure that my tasks are getting completed in a timely manner.

Sometimes it will glitch and I will lose something's i have added but it is very rare.

Helps our organization track all design requests
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has provided a simple solution to managing the inflow of design requests, easily check status, assign designers and manage the review process.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that would be helpful that we don't currently have access to such as an automated approval workflow.

Easy to Use & Organized
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows you to create a structured and organized system for receiving information/updates from your team. We typically use it to house important data that select team members can access and update as needed. There's quite a few nifty features that I believe most team members could definitely find a use case for.
What do you dislike about the product?
My organization uses Excel and there has been some push back with using Smartsheet due to Smartsheet not being able to use certain formula functions within Smartsheet. This isn't necesarrily the fault of Smartsheet, but it might be one of the downside organizations will experience when trying to integrate with a team that has Excel/Google Sheet power users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows my team to collaborate in an organized and efficient manner without having to spend several days creating an Excel sheet or OneDrive folder to house our important data. We can easily create charts, set reminders, and send out automatic emails for any changes that have been made.
Easy to use and simple project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share any sheet and give access to anyone in the organisation. The form is also a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The copy paste not always working. If you don't create workspace, fiding a sheet can be complicated

We currently have lots of new project manager and with this tool they get onboarded easily and can share rapidely
Smartsheet for Program Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows us to create multiple reports within hundreds of projects a single Workspace, and filter the results for concise and specific reporting needs. New users can access and modify reports and projects with minimal training, especially if already familiar with Project, for Gantt implementation, or Excel, for creating formulas.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to update previously created projects without editing individually. Cells can be bulk modified via reporting, but formulas cannot, and adding columns or rows is painstaking when new initiatives are necessary across an entire workspace collection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing us to track and schedule milestone deliverables concisely from hundreds of projects, allowing us to be more efficient and refocus our efforts as necessary.
Smartsheet is a combination of Excel with Project Management software and alot of intuition
What do you like best about the product?
Being new to Smartsheet at first I did not like it at all. In fact I hated that our company used Smartsheet. I was great at Excel, in fact really good. Smartsheet I sucked at and it felt clunkly and not intuitive. I quickly learned it was me, not smartsheet. Once I started to learn the capabilities, the more I loved it. I'm still learning new things but my favorite tools are the reports, and the filters of reports. It's so easy to disect data and get information from it without having to create new sheets, and references etc. The different user ability is also great to filter per user and per person. I'm learning about dashboards and once I get a good understanding of it I feel it will also be invaluable. I use smartsheet daily and most throughout the entire day. It's easy to use and, and easy to adapt into the teams. I haven't had to reach out to customer support, however the database for tutorials and help is vast and I've been able to find what I've been looking for. I recently created an entire new form for my team and the integration has been a success and will save our entire company a good 10 hours a month of emailing and workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few options I haven't been a fan of. The cross referencing sheets is not as easy and intuitive as I would think it should be. Example (I want to literally just take every row from Sheet #1 Column A and put it in Sheet #2 Column A and you would think that it would be easy, but suprisingly enough not quite as easy as I would think. The referecing to a cell and the Index Match are all good and easy to reference, but there are a few things I would think are intuative that is lacking. The inability to also switch data in a dashboard is frustrating. Example would be. A dropdown list in the dashboard to change a filter option. I.E (Building Condition Report Dashboard) It would be nice to pull a list of a building from the dashboard and the dashboard changes automatically based on the building filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing that Smartsheet is solving is keeping all our data available and filterable at a user level for Budgets, Projects, Status updates. Keeping line items for tracking. Recently we just created a user form for all requests that used to be done via email. Our entire team is now using that form and instead of tracking 50 emails a week all with different verbiage, and headings and subject lines that make it impossible to track, Smartsheet has it all in one nice sheet.
