Smarsheet is a comprehensive system for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
It is user-friendly and allows for project management and workflow automation to flow efficiently

It has a steep learning curve for advanced features, and its performance can be sluggish with large datasets.

Streamlining Collaboration with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows us to centralize our workspaces keeping all our data and project/task informaiton in one place, we create the sheets, can reference other sheets and reduce internal confusion on where the information has to go. We can adjust styles, drop downs in a easier manner than excel without the weeks of training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our smart sheets are rather large, thus requiring some information to be archived. Only being able to process ten rows at a time when archiving is daunting when we have 1000's of lines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past we were using expensive third party software through ERP's and Excel. Excel was not time friendly in setting up and configuration. ERP's are expensive and convoluted. We needed a quick and efficient way to collaborate with team members, streamline new hires with equipment, software and hiring needs. Smartsheet has allowed us to reduce time spent configuring excel sheets remove the need to use ERP for those tasks and reclaim that time back to productivity.
Efficient tool
What do you like best about the product?
The versatility of creating automized data digestion in different formats without having to put in any extra rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more integration possibilities in order to be able to view date not just in smartsheet but for example ms office features excluding sharepoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to track in an efficient way how various projects are progressing throughout the year.

Smartsheet is now the center of my project management universe.
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based, collaborative platform, trasnsferrable knowledge with other tools like MS Office software. Smartsheet also has a great customer support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has 80% of the capability that MS Project has, so it is not as sophositicated as MS Project when you need to run a complicated project. And cloud based service some times make it unstable and slow to synchronize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It simplified the user experience and increased the organization's efficiency. It is a key enabler to how we differentiate our project management process, service and capabilities.
A great tool for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets has been very helpful with working with other of my team members. We can share thoughts in one easy place, and make adjustments as necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little intimadating to use at first as there is so much to learn, however there is a robust library of self paced video's to learn the ins and outs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no more back and forth communication through email. This helps insure there are no lost messages, and everything is in one place.
Easy and resourceful
What do you like best about the product?
The feature to add checboxes in the row and allowing to choose from multiple options (list)
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes so far, something I would love to see is to download the file and use it for my own edits instead of it being edit for all. Not sure if this is already a feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with keeping my projects and tasks in line. I can keep updating it when I perform any task and it gets visible to my teammates. This also helps in providing regular updates to the clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly and easy to build dashboards, meeting notes, timelines, etc. for critical project management tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Once a portal is overloaded with many files, dashboards, etc. it seems to slow down and creates delays in loading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providng essential project management tools for the business
Best Spreadsheet Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration capabilities are strong. Smartsheet is much easier to use for business spreadsheets (especially those that require ongoing updates) than the alternatives. Smartsheet has found the goldilocks balance between flexible capabilities and governance, that results in grids that can be setup easily, permissioning that allows distinguishing between view access, editing rows and cells, and being able to change the spreadsheet template itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has some fringe capabilities that are helpful on a small scale but should not be asked to stretch beyond it. The workflows, for example, are great for small, simple business processes or notifications, but my colleagues have been frustrated with areas where we attempted to use them to govern more complex, mature review and approval processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project governance has been far easier with Smartsheet as the central hub for project management artifacts, which saves time by keeping things organized and providing a central place where stakeholders can "pull" info as needed, rather than requiring regular "pushes" or status updates.

I love that this is web-based system and that it can be accessed from anywhere

Learning curves with the coding, limitations with tabs

Tracking of project information across multiple departments and ensuring everyone is using the same data. Streamline standard operating procedures to maintain consistency

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to make changes live. It nice to have one document and not 100.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was a little easier to share with others or change emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep up with what is ordered where it is and if it has been delievered.
