Highly impressed, and a daily user.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for collaboration with users inside and outsitde my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation on sheet restrictions and having to use reports to isolotate information into specific users. Also, the inability to have different tabs within a single sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having an easily accessible project reporting and collaboration platform for users outside my organization. My external clients having access on multiple platforms, easily, is pivitol.
Very smart system
What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly and and the audit trail is fabulous.
the implementation was quick and has minimised a lot of admin things. The support from our project manager was outstanding.

Sometime it takes time to update and refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've implemented Smartsheets for our day to day procurement and it has eased the process a lot comapared to ehat we used prior to this.
Easy to use and share
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet was fairly simple to implement at my company in an afternoon. There was a small learning curve but once you got the hang of it, it went fairly smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little clunky when trying to figure out how to input dates for a Gnatt chart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
setting up and creating a Gnatt chart that can be easily shared with a project team.
The project managment tool that saves time
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a crossfunctional tool that allows for ease of collaboration and universal use. It easy an easy tool for agenda setting, project planning, or even time tracking. Smartsheet also integrates with several platforms making it a one-stop shop for leadership to see what is going on across ticketing platforms, CRMs, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does not allow for comments per cell. Comments have to be left either by column or row which can cause issues depending on the project. Smartsheet has not mastered mobile editing just yet and primarily functions on a desktop device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is our team's one universal tool for all departments in our organization. This allows for transparency and visibility across teams to see what each team is working on and how they can contribute. Smartsheet's integrations also allow for visibility into different tool's data when someone may not have a license (ie. Jira, Salesforce, etc.). This has allowed our teams to feel more connected and unified.
A great product held back by add-ons
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a terrific replacement for Excel and other sheet-based applications. I have used this program daily for nearly a year and I am still discovering new things it can do. The Collect formula is one of the most useful formulas I have found; attempting the same thing in Excel is a mess of formulas. The automations/workflows provide a great way to speed up processes and remove unnecessary emails and busywork. I have adapted most sheets I use into Smartsheet. The forms available have created a fantastic way to collect information without providing everyone with direct access to the sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I use this daily, I'm constantly hitting a wall where I need to pay more to resolve my answer. Currently on the business tier, some add-ons even require upgrading to the Enterprise license before purchasing them. For example, this is a great replacement for Excel but if you want something akin to Pivot Tables (included with Excel), you need to purchase the monthly add-on Pivot App.
Additionally, charts on the Dashboard are nearly impossible to use as you will need a separate metrics sheet and will need to edit that sheet directly to sort your charts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has a very easy to use workflow automation system. With all form entries contained within one sheet, it's easy for staff to view results and see the progress of any workflows.

The sheet is easy to use, share, and edit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited access due to licensing. Not sure how much it costs for the license but maybe be able to give more people access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving miscommunication about our patients and making it easier to organize our supplies, for example.
Flexible Tool with lots of Autonomy
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is what I wish I could do with my teams in excel. I can do every function, linking, etc - plus the added bonus of setting up automated workflows and dashboards. It works well for the projects I manage and I find it very flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having worked in many types of PM software, smartsheet does not have many of my favorite features when it comes to collaborating on a project in a tool. At its core, Smartsheet is excel+ more, but its not Jira - I can't see history of a ticket, etc. Smartsheet has its place, but it's not an all-in-one solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our project timelines are created in Smartsheet, and it works very well. PMs have the autonomy to customize for their projects.
We also manage and collaborate on media budgets with clients. This works very well as we can setup reporting, dashboards, etc.

Leveraging Smartsheet in Human Resources
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the flexibility smartsheet offers. The automations and dynamic view have provided us with a variety of ways to share information with our workforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some functionality constraints related to sharing attachments within a sheet. There are times we'd like to share only a specific document and smartsheets current functionality is all or nothing. Some of the logic/rules only offer 'and' or 'or' logic and it would be nice to be able to have them interchangable when needed not a one or the other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the absence of a robust HRIS system, we have built smartsheet to manage benefit enrollments and performance reviews. We have built automations to share information with internal and external custmers to elminate human error.
Ability to Create Simple to Advanced Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create from simple to complex workflow, dynamic notifications, dynamic view
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost could be lower but the enterprise license justifies everything for the smaller organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a project and tasks has been simpler, we were in a need of an approval system and managed to build the solutions from smartsheet with multi-level approver
Amazing Projectmanagement Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way I can structure my project plan with timelines, assign it to the correct persons, send reminders, add documentation and keep track of all the progress

Sometimes copy paste and conditional formatting is not working like excel, this can be improved
