I use the Smartsheet for Project Management and it works fine for what I need

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about smartsheet is that multiple people can collaborate and create a detailed plan . And we can create custom notifications aslo. And Dashbaords are very good feature to the the summary of a detailed plan. We can also use readymade templates of Dashboards. And intrgrate it with outlook for notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the ease of implemeting formulas and linking with another sheets is bit time taking than microsoft excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maily we use it for Project planning & collaboration. Calendar view of Smartsheet is something very easy to explain the sequence of events for any project.
And each stakeholder knows their responsibility it is very clear to read and update for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
it is easy to use and is customizable. Allows to track projects and create a good visual picture using Gantt chart. Perfect for meduim complexity projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may be too complex for simple projects but lack some performance for very large and complex projects.

For Cross-Team Collaboration, Smartsheet is the Champ!
What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the automation that can be applied in Smartsheet. We've created efficient, stream-lined project plans with Smartsheet automation features that reduce the administrative workload for our Project Managers and Consultants. It's also our go-to tool for collaborating with external customers. The ability to send notifications, upload files & videos and create project read-out dashboards to keep everyone updated, both internally and externally, makes Smartsheet a necessity!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the basic copy/paste features can be challenging if you expect Smartsheet to operate like Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows for easy collaboration between internal and external resources. We've been able to replace many legacy Excel documents with Smartsheet, eliminating the need to pass workbooks around and run the risk of errors and lost data. We've built detail roll-up dashboards in Smartsheets as well, giving our customers a clear picture of outstanding project tasks and risks.
A Great Entry Level Product
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is excellent as a methodology agnostic organizational tool. It's been seamless to implement and is very intuitive to new users unfamiliar with the platform prior. It doesn't hurt that it's an incredibly affordable option.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks the industry specific benefits of other products, but makes up for it with accessibility and universality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is the hub of our project management. Everything from Submittal Registers, Project Documents, Meeting Minutes, Daily Reports, and RFIs are hosted in a shared and collaborative space meaning that information is easily shared between team members.
Smartsheet - A better way to plot a course
What do you like best about the product?
Once you get your parameters set up, it was pretty easy to create a project schedule. Just set your lengths of time and it does the rest from there. Easy to share with the team too. Similar to excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be a little difficult to explain to non-tech savy team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a project GNATT schedule for the team.
Regular updates. A very ncie at your own pace learning library.

The learning library and webinars are very hellpful.

It is a little clunky from a UX perspective. I do wish it was a little cleaner and that the learning library topics were libked better.

Project timelines and resource management.
One of the best tools to expedite and monitoring projects out there!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been a great ally to monitoring and control projects. I love the features that allow you to send remiders, assign ussers and even connect with other softwares/data base of the company. Also, super user friendly!

I'd improve the design, it's pretty similar to excel, other than that I love it.

It helps me to expedite projects, have visibility about who and when tasks should be delivered and helps to automatize tedious follow-ups.

What do you like best about the product?
To begin with, the implementation process was extremely easy.
We have imported over 20 projects and have over 200 small changes on a separate sheet.
The customer support has been immensely helpful, each member of staff is deeply knowledgeable whenever I need assistance on a query.
The system itself is quite easy to use and there is so much flexibility that you can do. I have been able to build up my knowledge and became an internal expert on the system (not so much the formulars though!).
As a business we use the product every day and easily have over 30 users who access Smartsheet and Resource Management.
The wider reporting dashboards is massively beneficial for us to understand status of all projects that we can share to the board/senior management.
Reporting on Resource Management helps us manage workloads as a team and individuals which is a massive help when new projects or small changes appear.
Overall, the product is great, but it would be good to see some minor changes!

What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue we are experiencing is within Smartsheet is regarding Resource Management, not being able to input 0 hours into a timesheet is very annoying for us as a business. This unfortunately negatively effects reporting also, as we must input 'fake' time '0.01' to get around this.
Within Resource Management, you cannot see individual line items when reporting on time within the timesheet. I think this would be a good feature as we use a Small Change sheet (essentially 1 project) with over 200 small changes on (which would be tasks if it were a normal project). As a work around we use categories, but this is duplication of effort. You cannot also report on categories either so again this does frustrate some of the team.
This may be a feature that I am not aware about but having ready-made documents/sheet that fall in line with Prince 2 would be extremely helpful.

Helping understand resource allocations across the entire team by tracking resources, projects, and small changes/project items.
Having reports to hand to show senior management/the board - both on a project view within Smartsheet and a resource view within Resource Management.
Being able to run PAB efficiently (Project Advisory Board) - to ensure project requests are captured, discussed, and formally approved within meetings.
