Powerful - Useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to organize the project from a Project Manager's perspective, automation is really useful for collecting updates or feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Timeline view could be improved, dependencies assignment could be improved in a way that is more user-friendly and simplified.
Formulas that are common in Excel could be better implemented in Smartsheet as some work require to clean data.
Data visualization could be improved, currently, I also use Tableau for this purpose.

Centralized Project Management
Great for Product Management!
What do you like best about the product?
Smarthseet is so robust. We've been able to leverage features to replace both our product management tool and project management system. It really helps support our products from inception through delivery, housing everything from our planning roadmap to pricing sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's little you can do to change the visuals. We use the gnatt chart for our product roadmap and it's not the type of screenshot I like to put on a presentation to our executive team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps act as a database that holds all of our product information. It also consolidates our project management and product management into one tool.

What do you like best about the product?
i like the fact that smartsheet is an online tool and that is capable to generate notification in real time which allow me to manage my service calls quickly and stay always up to date. I like also the latest updates about workapps and dynamic views. it helped me a lot securing access to sensitive data.
I like also the fact that you provide an integration with a lot of other tools like PowerBI which kind of cover the part we can't find in smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
i don't like the fact that most automation are row based, you can setup a modification to complete row and not in a cell based way. (copy row, move row, lock row, ...)
I don't like the fact that smartsheet is very bad in time calculation when it comes to very precise duration in hours and minutes. i suffered a lot when building my metrics sheet and to calculate the duration for each call.
I don't like also your support limitations, to get support on a feature most of the time have to rely on community forums.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is offering me the optionto create an online application that manage support requests from my clients, assign and coordinate these requests and provide to real time notification to my client. it build a lot of trust between our service and the costomer.
Collaboration to the extreme.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great place for team collaboration. It is an easy to use tool to store documents and keep track of team and idividual tasks. Being web based my team is able to review and update simultaniously.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few downsides to using smartsheet, the hardest part is getting all parties on board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many documents and review processes in construction management and smart sheet helps us organize, review, collaborate, revise and approve all in one location.
Great for managing financial accounts and job performance tasks but login function needs changing.
What do you like best about the product?
It is pretty easy to navigate once you learn how to use the many options within this program. I like that you can customize the Sheets to what suits you best like the job performance tracking is easy to see where everyone is at once, who is on what tasks, what is being completed, what is on hold, and we can communicate easily across this network. Also, the financial tracking is nice in that color coding a line item lets all users know who it belongs to, we can message one another if we have questions, we can adjust the cells, lock them, so many things. Works great for our company!
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, there seems to be a new systems login function that was not there previously and it requires the user to log in every morning I open the program. Then it has to send me a verification key to my email for me to get in. I find this tedious, a nuisance and time consuming at best. At least some other programs I use will say "recognize this computer for the next 180 days", but this is ridiculous! I do have to say, had I or anyone in our company (multi-million) had this kind of hassle to overcome early on every morning, I am not sure we would have stayed with this program. I think they need to rethink this before they lose clients or fail to get new ones. This is why I am giving it 8 stars.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving getting task priorties done more efficiently and timely. Because we can set the view in swim lanes, it works for our company and within minutes or even seconds, get at a glance looks to see where people are working and at what progress is being made instead of having to constantly inquire via phone, email, etc. This has made production and communication much faster and effective, we can see our bottome line and outstanding invoicing easier.
Great product - better than google docs
What do you like best about the product?
I find that smartsheets are way more useful than google docs which we also use. One of the categories we use it for is for promotions and being able to set email reminders for when something is due to start is a fantastic feature. It is super easy for multiple users to use these sheets and complete the info which is relevant by accessing drop down lists.
We also use it as a mastersheet for other documents within the business which is great for ease of use once again.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the big downsides that I have experienced is that the sheets dont always automatically save and have found when ive added data in that it hasnt saved when ive tried to retrieve it at a later date
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When dealing with multiple customers its been a challenge is the past to keep up with marketing promotions. So having these show up as email reminders make it really easy to stay on top of campaigns.
I've been working with Smartsheets for several years.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets allows a lot of spreadsheet functionality with the added benefit of a database. It also allows a lot of easy/good reporting, and easy collaberation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that you can't use formulas to do calculations on reports, or add columns to a report. (for example, it would be great to pull information into a report and then have a column specific for that report to do special calculations based on the imported data.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an eLearning company and use Smartsheet to maintain our library of courses and update schedules. We use it to track updates between teams as the project is passed from group to group.
I rely on Smartsheet for my everyday work
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, the simplicty, yet the opportunity to organzie upfront in ways that Excel doesn't for you from the beginning. I like that I can set due dates on a calendar per each line item, track the status of completition per each line item, highlight rows, etc. I also like that I can refer back to past sheets in an organized fashion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the sheets don't load and I recieve an error message. It could take over a day for these sheets to become accessible again. Because I rely on the program for my everyday work, when I can't gain access to my sheets, it is frustrating. This is the spot I keep all important information regarding trade shows and all the fine details such as dates, costs, logistics, etc. This has happened serval times over the last few years of me being a user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A one stop shop for organizing all details for national US trade shows. I am the US Trade Show Coordinator for my company and Smartsheet is where I keep track fo all the ins and outs of each event. I also enjoy that I can be on the road and access Smartsheet via the web and not in my company's server's folders.
A solid platform for collecting data
What do you like best about the product?
It looks much more professional than a google sheet for collecting data. I also love the generate documents feature, it is so useful to my daily work!

There is a learning curve that takes time and I didn't find the online tuturials the best at educating me on them. I would like for it to be easier to figure out

My team has to create some manual invoices for customers and smartsheet allows me to collect the pertinent customer details through the form, get notified via email when something is submitted, generate the document with a few clicks, and tracker which submissions are complete

Smartsheet is not just an excel sheet, but allow you to improve your experience of data analysis

Smartsheet is not userfrendly in is coditing, so you need to develop this skills, but once you have developed and there are multiple source from which you can gain this, then you will be unblock a huge level of potential
