Using Smarthseet for a couple years
What do you like best about the product?
The option of views is genious. The interface is friendly, and if you usually use Excell, the transition to Smartsheet is going to be very easy. I use Smartsheet as a internal control during my daily activities and I haven't required to contact costumer support during these couple of years. At the begining, when I started using Smartsheet, I thought that implementing new controls would take longer, but smartsheet functions are easy to use, and it also so integrate email notifications, alerts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have access to a tutorial and to a library, to know more functions of Smartsheet, in order to explote the whole applicable potential
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visualization of the information. Now we area capable of visualize the status of the catalogue of the available products in the region.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Has features that help user readily create timelines with links to quickly communicate with teams.
Integrates very well with visualization software like Onepager and Office Timeline Pro.
Allows Swimland and Subswimlane columns for better organization and visual outputs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Does not have a built in Successor attribute, but I was able to add a formula to add this function.
Does not allow 'months' in the Duration or Link + time fields. Only Days and Weeks are available.
Swimlane feature is handy, but would be better if allowed >2 levels.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to lay out both short term tactical plans and longer-view strategic plans is an easy to modify format.
Great product once you learn the ropes
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can easily create reports, intake forms, and dashboards that all connect to each other pretty seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside is the time it takes to learn how to properly use SmartSheet. Even experts in excel and Google Sheets will still need to take time to get over the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to include everyone that I need into my worksheets safely and securely. SmartSheet is also allowing a place for data collection that we currently can't do in our Salesforce accounts.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is incredibly user friendly. I use it very often and it seems to have many capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many capabilities which exist that we haven't had a chance to explore yet. If there was a how-to guide that was easily accessible and easy to navigate, our team would find that very useful (vs live demos).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is used to map out project timelines, allowing us to clearly plan what can be done in tandem with related tasks.
Utilizing Smartsheet to track progress of items and information throughout projects
What do you like best about the product?
Having the information easily presentable with date and time stamps as well as the ease at which the sheets can be viewed by other parties.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have ran into issues with setting up certain types of sheets where the column dominant format that smartsheets uses has not allowed me to replicate a sheet I wanted to utilize the program for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is allowing us to keep certain parts of the project more organized while collecting dates of importance that previously would have been difficult to find and time consuming.
Succesful collaboration, wide acceptance, and user friendly implimentation
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which the team on the floor could engage with sheet via Web forms made it convenient roll out data collection and information collation tools.
Once the form input was mastered, getting the team to use the format for various other systems (defect elimination, breakdown elimination etc.).
Making changes to the input forms is easy, and automations are intuitive and helpful, even for people not well versed in spreadsheet logic.
I have made frequent use of reports to make data easier to interpret, and building them as well as dashboards does not take a long time to learn.
I like that licenses are not required for team members to generate inputs via forms.
Formulae are familiar enough if you have some Excel experience that putting some maths into your sheets is not hard.

From what I can tell, you are limited as to how you format graphs and tables. While the formats available are adequate and easy to read, some may find the lack of customisation limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gathering data from multiple human sources is always challenging, smartsheets (through forms) presents an easy to use, clearly formatted, and universally understood input interface for data capture.

user friendly, easy to work with especially in projects with many stakeholders

not always easy to have in mind all the options as with the day to day job, it's not possible to take the time to review all the functionalities

one centralized point to share all the projects related data and to set the roles and responsibilities as well as deadlines for the stakeholders

sheet column manipulation is more complex than excel, need to take time to train users

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to collaborate on many projects and documents. I like that we can all work in it together and tag each other. We've been using it heavily as we are working on a multi-year, multi-million dollar project so it's been great to have a massive project be organized in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop application's scroll functionality isn't great. Sometimes the bottom scroll disappears. I would say that the navigation could be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having every task and project in one place has been great. Also having the ability to work in there while someone else is in there is useful. I also like the ability to tag people. The templates are also helpful.
Great way to organize upcoming projects and schedule crews.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet filters are great to create multiple boards with specific intent instead of scouring all data. I have three boards that dictate my day to day tasks and work great! The cell history is also beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the adminstrative controls can be annoying when trying to collaborate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using smartsheet, I can prioritize my tasks based off the project start date. Including links to our project folders make it quick to find the information needed. This shows a quick summary of project data.
