Efficient and Versatile Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, Smartsheet is a powerful project management tool that excels in enhancing team collaboration and efficiency. Its range of features and customization makes it suitable for various project types and sizes. While there is a bit of a learning curve and the pricing may be steep for some, the benefits it offers in terms of productivity and project management efficiency are undeniable. I highly recommend Smartsheet to anyone looking to streamline their project management processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Smartsheet can have a steep learning curve for new users, particularly those not familiar with advanced project management tools or spreadsheet-like interfaces. Additionally, the pricing structure can be prohibitive for small businesses or individual users, and the performance may lag with very large sheets or complex projects. These aspects can make Smartsheet less accessible or efficient for certain users or specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet effectively streamlines project management and team collaboration by offering real-time updates, multiple view options, and robust automation of routine tasks. This enhances productivity and decision-making by providing clear visibility into project progress and performance. Its ability to integrate with a variety of other tools further simplifies workflows, making it a valuable asset for managing complex projects and coordinating team efforts efficiently.
Great Platform for all kinds of functions
What do you like best about the product?
The best features of smartsheets arethe ability to link sheets and automate repetative tasks.
I love being able to pull data from several sheets into the same report mixing financial spreadhseets, schedules ansd programes with tracking documents all into one slick report.
Automation is another great thing. Being able to set in detail when you want things to happen and the range of automation features is fantastic.
Community and costumer support is great. Whenever I have a question, th answer is already available for the most part. The features are easy to use and the UI is slick. It's easy to bring in data from email, or CRM too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Formtting could be impoved hugeley. How Smartsheets handles text formatting is not the best. For example, you cannot have multiple text formats int he same cell as you can in Excel for example. No bold words or highlighted words in a cell without bolding or highlighting the whole cell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SMartsheets allows my team and I to stay on the same page on complicated projects. It allows us to build the tools we need and create really good looking client presentationsand internal reports. The biggest thing it helps us with is tracking ongoing progress of various complex workstreams.
Making Project Management easy

-Customisable reporting dashboards
-Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (sharing action logs, risks registers etc).
-Customer Support team are great. Our account manager is directly contactable on slack for any questions

What do you dislike about the product?
Learning how to use reports (how sheets link to reports) so that they appear correctly without links broken for example. However, this is mainly user error. Now that it's set up, I know how to resolve issues with this!

All aspects of project management tools and reporting. Ensuring that my reports are consistent with those of my peers so that we can report to leadership team in a consistent way

Poor Excel functions, lack of Pivot Table is terrible (I know I can pay but it is one of basics of excel analyzes)

It is easy to use and easy and can be shared in an easy and efficient manner

Some things that are available in Excel are not available in Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is great tool for project managmet files (ex. different regigisters and timeplans). With Smartsheet you can easyly make rules, graphs and data tables, with are easy to share and export (include to Excel and Microsoft Project files).
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is not a good place for keeping information to archive, the memory is too little for that. The ruling the tables can be more simple and stupid. Many commands are hidden and not too easy to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps keeping the information togather and reachable for every team member. Each team can see the same information and change it. Good for protocolling the meeting and for registers, also for timeplanning.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheet for 7 years now and really rate this platform very highly. Best licensing model on the market which saves a lot of money vs other platforms; awesome & flexible features set; allows me to develop advanced stuff without being dependent on a 3rd party/consultancy; quick to learn. Gives me the ability to create standardised and integrated templates that I can deploy in a few hours. Also love how it streamlines bottoms-up data management to enable slick and easy reporting.
Integration with other tools are very impressive given the price point of this powerful platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's scheduling capability is good for simple to medium complexity but it does lack some more advance features but this is a minor issue compared to the other benefits it brings to the table.
User engagement can be the largest risk in successful deployment of Smartsheet but this will be the case with any collaboration and project management software. It will require your organisation to be fully engaged especially at management level.

Smartsheet is assisting project management teams that dont have formal project management backgrounds. It is easy to learn and allows an ever-growing stakeholder group to join without incurring additional cost. We can combine many teams into a truly bottoms-up protfolio roll up which makes for powerful exception-based reporting.
When set up correctly - reporting is automaticly populated and teams can focus on other stuff. The days of generating reports in an Excel and Powerpoint domain can be eliminated.

Review of Smart-Sheet in daily business use
What do you like best about the product?
It is very manageable, easy to understand and intuitive. It has established itself as the "standard" tool and is accepted by all business partners. It also has a very good customer support and it was easy to integrate it in our daily business processes and aplications. I use it frequently also for internal purposes, the number of features are even more than necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
pretty much nothing, I cannot find any complaint.

Gives all employees access to all relevant data.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create automated workflows. Ease of navigation on the site. Not everyone that engages with Smartsheet needs a license.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot create a pivot table from a worksheet. It is difficult to get quick answers to any challenges I may have, regarding formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables me to create a templatised PMO that is easy to rollout, thoughout a number of different industries. I'm also able to create workflows for almost any type of business unit within an organistaion.
