Smartsheet for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Job tracking, proofing, feedback, and production notes all in one location that is archivable and searchable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching past jobs could be more robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative proofing and commenting, and workflow management.
Great product to keep track of your to do lists
What do you like best about the product?
The best part for me is the way it lets you keep track of all your work with due date in an intelligent manner. I also like the way by which you can filter your to do lists using due date or any specific project names
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that i wish there is some automation that allows you to move the work completed automatically to another section once is is completed or maked as completed by the user

really lets be be uptodate with all my work. first thing i open when i go to work is smartsheet to know what is completed and what is not

- Possibility to tag people with email, and have people which are not licensed users access the platform

- The learning curve is quite tough (I wasnt aware of many of the features before someone pointed them out)

Efficient Task Management with Room for Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Smartsheet helps me manage my tasks efficiently. The feature that allows me to tick mark tasks upon completion is particularly helpful as it enhances my task management process. Additionally, Smartsheet effectively helps in tracking employee leaves, providing individual access to the employees. This feature enhances connectivity and ensures everyone is on the same page, which I find very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the sheer number of options in Smartsheet overwhelming. It would be beneficial if the platform allowed users to customize their experience more easily by selecting specific options from tabs directly on the sheet, tailoring it to individual needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to track employee leaves with personalized access, enhancing task management by marking completed tasks.
Smartsheet Great Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that Smartsheet can show different views of the same information and easily swap between them.
I like the dashboards when presenting to different audiences.
I like the integration with outlook for communications.
The customer support has been great.
I also found that it was very easy to set up with my project which allowed importing data from common tools.
I like the way you can collaborate across many people and sites.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very few things technically.
SInce I mainly use it to run projects there are a few features that are found in your mainstream project management tools that are missing or need to be done slightly differently but there are workarounds.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a project manager / engineering manager / technology manager my audience can vary from team members to the CEO and presenting data in different views or via a dashboard allows me to cover it all with the same tool and same data.
The ability to collaboration across as many people as you want is the biggest benefit for me since it allows everyone to view and update live data rather than a Gantt chart that is out of date the day after a Project Meeting.
This solves the problem which is commin to every Project Manager using a standard type Project Management tool.
Also the integration with all the worksheets in one spot allows much better organisation.
The ability to send out reminders via outlook is also a game-changer and is invaluable in solving the problem of how to communicate with a broad team at teh right time.
This tool is flexible, customisable and improves efficiency of the entire team since the data is always live.

Client Database Organisation
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows for me to sort all of our clients in one database which allows for easy tracking and communication with clients projects. The additional features to excel also make it the more favourable spreadsheet option for me. I have had probems with Smartsheet at times however the customer service has always been fast in helping me to solve any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the sheets start getting full it can take a long time to load up the sheet. I am not usre this is an issue with Smartsheet just rather trying to load a lot of data can take some time.

Smartsheet allows me to keep track of all my clients in one place and what stage they are at with their projects

Automations are very handy though I have a lot more to learn about where they can be utilized. Integrates eaily with other products and for an everyday user is easy to use and unintimidating.

Can be expensive if certain features are required and you have a large team

As a database for data addgregation from different sources and reliable as a repository to do more with this data.

What do you like best about the product?
In short, the user experience in Smartsheet reflects the true adaptability of the needs for a modern project management environment. My team has realized that its features are highly customizable allowing them to design workflows based on our exact needs. In particular, the automation aspects have given us a huge boost in our efficiency, making us more productive in our daily tasks. More so, it has a superior strength of its tools giving an advantage when handling a number of tasks at the same time. To sum up, Smartsheet is an essential equipment in our everyday operations that makes us produce more.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the issues I’ve noticed is that there are not many advanced text formatting options which can sometimes impede the way our project’s data is presented. Moreover, although there are real time updates available on the platform, I think it can be made better, especially when multiple users or team members input information, especially in larger sheets where there are maximum sheet size limits are approached.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of Smartsheet facilitates the tracking of our sprint in an efficient manner as well as backlog prioritization. It has made it possible for the team to see clearly and have well organized information which has helped to reduce miscommunications. Therefore, we can concentrate more on delivering value as opposed to getting stuck in administrative matters.
Very Positive Experience with SmartSheet
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented SmartSheet in 2022 as a new tool for creating timelines for projects. It was easy to implement across our team of 10 project managers. The learning curve was very short and we were up and running very quickly.
It was easy to create templates for various types of projects and make those available for the team. I like that we could set working hours and holidays in our templates, which made it easy for those to be always taken into account. It's made it easy for the team to create timelines daily. Our previous timeline tool was clunky, so creating a timeline was a chore - with SmartSheet they are quick and easy to do on a daily basis. It was easy to integrate SmartSheet into our agency process.
Additionally, our broader internal and client teams have access so they can stay updated on the next steps and deadlines.
When I had questions about something, I found ample documentation and support available to help answer my questions.
With the help of support documentation, we were able to create some reports that helped group several timelines together so we could address capacity and resource management gaps and overlaps.

For templates, I wish I didn't have to go through so many steps to make updates. I have to edit the source template, save it as a template, and delete the previous version. I like to work very efficiently and this just seems like a few unnecessary steps.
I wish we could integrate SmartSheet with Trello. We use both tools in complementary ways, and being able to integrate SmartSheet into our Trello workflow would be very helpful to us.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main project management software doesn't have a timeline function that meets our needs and SmartSheet does. Using SmartSheet for managing timelines has helped my team keep projects on time and on budget, and helps them communicate the entire life of the project, as well as immediate next steps and deadlines with internal team members and clients. Our previous tool was clunky to the point that no one wanted to use it, so we had to make the move to something better - SmartSheet meets and exceeds that need and has vastly improved our timeline development process.
Better than MS Project
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets has a lot of functionality and is very customisable
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately it is not possible to see changes made in real time like with a Google doc. This means that other collaborators have to keep refreshing their page and then it sends them back to a different start point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see all the tasks for each of our projects in one document that can be collapsed or expanded. The Gantt view is useful but we mainly use the calendar function to see clashes with key dates
