Smartsheet makes project management structured, collaborative, and easier to track.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Smartsheet brings structure and visibility to projects. It feels like using a spreadsheet but with powerful project management features built in. I can easily assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress in real time. The ability to collaborate with colleagues in one place by being able to add comments, attachments, and automated alert. This saves a lot of back-and-forth. I also appreciate the different views (grid, Gantt, card, calendar), which allow me to see my projects from multiple perspectives depending on the stage of work. This is my first role where I am doing project work and this tool keeps me on track and accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I found the layout a bit confusing like most new tools to the business but after a bit of time I got used to the set up and the functions. They're were features I had never heard of before so a simple guide/key may make life easier for new users who have limited project management skills. I think that it's a powerful tool but for new starters it's a bit of a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing complex, cross-departmental projects in a fast-paced airport environment. Many of the projects I work on involve multiple stakeholders across the organization. I use excel in my day to day job and this format is similar and replicates it to an extent. The automation features also cut down on repetitive admin work, allowing me to focus more on analysis and delivering insights that support decision-making. Overall, it improves communication, keeps projects on schedule, and makes collaboration much smoother across teams.
Smartsheet centralises all tasks, timelines, and updates in one place, so everyone has a clear view of responsibilities and deadlines. For me as a data scientist, it’s particularly useful because I can track data requests, project milestones, and dependencies without relying on endless email chains.

What do you like best about the product?
It gives you to communicate with persons on chats. Attach them on related jobs
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a bit high. Sometimes it takes long to enter the site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating and collecting data from other subcontrudtors and store them where everyone can reach whenever you want. Also linging files to send is good.
Great system, user friendly, easy adoption
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets was easy to implement in the business. It allowed the company to streamline data gathering processes via email forms. The emails could be setup via automation which is easy to use. A ticketing system was also implemented which allowed user to manage ticket requests and fully organise the workload. Finally we also connected the system to our CRM system to improve data accuracy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides are we had a number of issues with the connector to our CRM system and support is limited.

That you can't add tabs to one sheet and needs slightly more features like excel.

It is bringing attention to other users so projects are not missed.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can assign person to a task for a project. You can also include dependencies for each line. You can update a task based on the completion percentage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to copy and paste select lines from one smartsheet to another. The best option is copy a sheet as a new template
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use smartsheet to create timelines for upcoming implementation project to forecast upcoming milestones and task needed to be complete.
Very Collaborative for Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
How useful it is for teams amongst an organization to communicate and work effectively through projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to communicate/tag people outside your organization in the comment section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems with getting jobs done within a timely manner, this is shortening the window for our team.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great platform - very user friendly and an amazing tool for Project Managers
What do you dislike about the product?
It has very much the excel look and feel to it which may be off-putting to some users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have had no problems with Smartsheet - love using it when I am able to as a guest user.
An advanced version of Excel, missing only a few features.

I love that teammates are able to be in the program and utilize features (including updating) in real time.

It's incredibly difficult to import and export in the program.

Unmatched for Team Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can collaborate with other team members when managing projects. In our organization, we have a host of projects that are running simultaneously. With that said, it is nice that everyone can see all projects (even the ones that they are not assigned) just to be familiar with the progress of a project. Also, assigning team members to tasks has been especially helpful so that we know who's responsible for a certain tasks. Lastly, I like that Smartsheet is intuitive and personalizable. The flexibility and ease of tools that are available allow me to customize each project sheet according to the project's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of Smartsheet is the cost. For smaller organizations it may be harder for them to afford the tool, and in my opinion, of all the tools I have tried Smartsheet is the best. In our organization, there are some changes we have had to make with licensing due to cost.

Smartsheet helps our organization to keep all projects in one place, and allows members of our organization (whether licensed or not) to be able to view progress of the projects.
