What do you like best about the product?
The automation feature in Smartsheet is by far my favorite feature. It enables me to send automatic reminders and notify colleagues of updates and things that need to be done. It is helpful when working on projects with multiple deadlines or deadlines far in advance. It allows me to stay on task with projects. Smartsheet forms are also incredibly helpful as a way to collect valuable insight. I also like how a form can automatically transfer into a Smartsheet to collect data.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite part of Smartsheet is the lack of an Auto-save feature. I have unfortunately lost work in the past when losing an internet connection. I think many would benefit from an addition of an autosave feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving a data collection problem that sometimes arises in my organization. It serves as a central hub to collect important data from colleagues and to organize communications. The ability to delegate tasks and remind people to contribute has been transformative.

Setting alarms on lines and adding email trails into specific lines in the spreadsheet, also making shareable with your team

Sometimes the 'find' button does not bring up what you are searching for into view on the screen

Useful tool to organise, track and ultimately globally share project status
What do you like best about the product?
the fact that it is so easy to shared with colleagues and collaborators globally, we use it alot as a agenda for meetings with suppliers, viewers don't require a license which is perfect for some of our external suppliers who are not willing ot pay for a new platform

Sometimes have issues inserting images, there are not many things that I dislike to be honest

Smartsheet: Making Me Look Good
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is massive platform with a ton of feaures that is surprisingly easy it is to learn and use. What I like best is how good it makes me look when I create reports and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in a while when Smartsheet servers are slow, it can get glitchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to maintain a large portfolio of projects in one sheet while linking out to individual project sheets. Smartsheet's automations will reach out to necessary parties when prompted. Smartsheet's behind the scenes processes gather current, accurate data for my reports and dashboards and allow me to present them like a true professional.

The only pain point for us is that the process of creating an account for free users is confusing to many people.

Time saved that would otherwise be spent sending emails. Ability to summarize results and generate reports easily.
Smartsheet for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I frequently use Smartsheet to streamline project management responsibilities while leading multiple projects at a time. Smartsheet has a user-friendly interface and features ranging from basic to advanced that improve visibility, collaboration, and efficiency. I use Smartsheet to create project plans and Gantt charts, track daily project progression, collaborate with team members and assign tasks, determine task dependencies, calculate cost and resource allocation, etc. Smartsheet provides numerous resources for on the job learning and extensive customer support to easily implement any of its many features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can be tricky for new users and those not familiar with all of its features. There is a learning curve when moving from basic project management features (action items, project flow, Gantt Chart, etc.) to more complex ones such as task dependencies, resource assignment/management, automated communication(s), etc. Plenty of support is available to learn these features, but as with any new technology it can take a bit of effort to get all users up to speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet simplifies the way I am able to track project progression and manage multiple projects at once. I can easily view, update, and add tasks to any project, saving me time on a daily basis. These changes immediately reflect in Gantt Charts and any dependencies and automation that are set up for the sheet. Smartsheet has also improved project collaboration as my team members can access, edit, and comment on project plans in real time. I have also used Smartsheet to create Forms, collect and analyze data, and report out on the data while associating it with specific projects/tasks.

I enjoy utilizing all the unique formats and viewing outputs that Smartsheet provides. This offers a unique look for my teams and clients to be able to implement feedback and changes at all times.

Although relatively intutive to use, Smartsheet does take time to learn.

Smartsheets can help significantly improve your workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets can provide a lot of functionality that I had never even thought that I needed, that now feels indespensible. There's so much that you can achieve without needing to learn tons of different commands. It's able to be used across various use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue is that because it's online, it's not part of our normal company file system, which can be a bit difficult because it's separate from all of our other files. That being said, the upsides significantly outweigh this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collapsable sections within tables makes reading our tracking sheets for different issues much easier because we can close the sections that aren't applicable to what we're looking at right now. The timeline feature with the built in flow chart elements is incredibly helpful for setting up templates that we use for our different process timelines. It makes it clear to visualize and communicate the way that the deadlines would work. Also, the automation for allowing forms to automatically enter has made it so much easier to track different failures that we experience. The reporter just sees a webpage where they enter what they need without any need for setup on their side and we're able to process the data as necessary in an easy chart that gets automatically updated.
