Projects & Tasks Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is brilliant. It allows for project planning, task tracking, dashboarding and so much more. It is like Excel on steriods.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to create complex dashboards takes some time to understand, but once you grasp how to do it, it is extremely valuable and fills most dashboarding needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for Project Management, Task Management and to create dahsboards primarily. Smartsheet helps our team be more productive and allows for a streamlined approach.
User friendly, appealing presentation
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it looks. Plain and simple. It's just clean, more visually appealing. I also love the automation tasks and the different cell format options. It is also quite simple to use, which is great for someone like me who is not a spreadsheet guru.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some automation tasks that aren't available that, in my brain, seem like would be simple to include. But I don't really see this as a "dislike" more as a "it'd be nice if that were available".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing my team to actively keep track of processes in real time, in a shareable format. It is a quick and easy tool to see where we're at with certain steps and allows us to quickly identify if something has been missed.
Bridging Spreadsheet Familiarity with Advanced Project Management Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet for most of the Global projects we create.
The best parts in my eyes are the WorkApps that are saving giving permission to every item separately and are allowing me to share many items (Dashboards, Dynamic Views etc) with 1 link.
Another feature I love is the Dynamic View that again because we work with Many franchises we need to allow them to only see their own projects/lines and it does it beautifully.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue is on the reporting side.
The dashboards are great for small amounts of data or if you dont need to refine and slice the data.
When reaching larger amounts or the need to slice and filter thats where Smartsheet is lacking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue Smartsheet helps with is the different sharing and permission levels available so I can have 1 sheet but share it with filters or through Dynamic view.
Another great feature is the form, it's not perfect but allows for versatility and it's user friendly.
The Automations of course that are saving lots and lots of manual emails to a point where it won't be possible without it.

A great cross-org unification tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like Smartsheet because it is like an upleveled google sheet. It is so helpful in creating a centralized location for all data about project information, calendaring, and task assignment. I also like that you have the ability to analyze the data and see it in graph form via a dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislkie about smartsheet is the time it takes to learn all of the capabilities that it has,. This is mostly because it has so many different functions, it takes a while to learn how to use it most effectively. I also dislike that it doesn't have an auto save feature, similar to that of google sheets/docs. If you forget to save after enter your data, tough luck.

Samrtsheet has a unique feature of integration with other apps. In addition to this, a very user-friendly app

What I like most about Smartsheet is that every one in our organizaton is able to see and share all information they need in real time across one platform.

What I've found to be the least helpful is getting answers from a real person. There are a lot of classes it seems like, but no one to go to with questions.

I appreciate the versatility of Smartsheet when it comes to various projects. Its extensive collection of pre-designed templates makes task setup incredibly smooth. Moreover, its seamless integration with other applications greatly facilitates the sharing of information.

While Smartsheet is an efficient tool for small to medium sized projects, handling large datasets in the software can be quite slow. The extensive data that needs to be processed sometimes poses challenges and causes delays. Moreover, the wide array of customization options available in Smartsheet can feel overwhelming, especially for users who are new to the platform.

Using Smartsheet makes it easy for us to track and adjust our company project timelines. The dynamic scheduling tools offered by Smartsheet provide flexibility when unexpected changes occur, eliminating the need for manual tracking methods and significantly reducing the chance of errors on our part.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the versatility of Smartsheet, as it can function as both a spreadsheet and a project management tool. The grid feature enables easy sorting and organization of data, while the chart feature visually displays our project's progress. This platform has greatly improved our organizational processes.

There are some limitations to customizing the appearance of Smartsheet to align with our brand's style. Having a broader range of visual customization options would be more advantageous.

Juggling multiple stakeholders and ensuring timely project completion was a complex task. However, by utilizing Smartsheet's Gantt chart feature, we were able to improve the visualization of project timelines. This led to a significant reduction in project delays and greatly enhanced communication with stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, collaborate + attachments can also be added. In addition, automated notifications/reminders and the ability to tag a colleague to a message/action item is helpful, rather than exiting the application and sending a separate e-mail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many notifications. Once I mentioned this to the PM, I was working with they were unaware of this issue and were able to adjust it, so seems like a simple training issue

I've used it for two different projects: One was typical Proj Mgmt - so report/dashboard was a great benefit to show management for executive updates; Second was using it as an interim contract management tracking tool - ability to add attachments and add workflow here was a great benefit.

Smartsheet helps me a lot to perform my daily obligations because of its flexibility and variety, cooperation and communication, and, notably, automation and integrations. The platform provides a wide range of customizable templates, making it suitable for a variety of industries and project types. The ability to create Gantt diagrams, Kanban boards, and dynamic calendars provides a complete general description of the project progress and assists the equipment in remaining organized. Furthermore, smartsheet's integration features with other popular applications boost workflow efficiency and data management speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet sometimes takes a long time to charge or is very slow, the program is not updated, and I have to close and reload it multiple times throughout the day. One part of smartsheet that I dislike is the lack of flexibility in its online form function, which makes it difficult to create several rows from a single shipment. This constraint might be aggravating when dealing with huge volumes of data or attempting to capture several entries in a single form shipment.

Smartsheet has helped our organization manage activities, schedules, and projects successfully by making it easy to do repetitive operations, monitor projects, and integrate third-party apps. Smartsheet solves the problems of efficient project management, collaboration, and data organization; their versatile functions and customizable templates speed up task monitoring, improve equipment coordination, and provide a comprehensive general description of project progress. This benefit enables me to keep organized, enhance productivity, and successfully manage tasks, resulting in better efficiency and success.
