What do you like best about the product?
Ability to have different views from the data input (ie. Gnatt charts) and the ability to have sheets feed other sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The funtionality to have sheets feed bi-directional. Wish there were some more filters around color coding column backgrounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving tracking and management of projects across multiple departments in a locked down confidential way.
SmartSheet: The quality option for moving to online data handling
What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet provides a quality transistion from excel-based data storage, handling, and analysis that is easy for users who are familiar with Excel to transition to and intitvely understand. It's still familiar enough for users to quickly get the hang of using the tool, while offering enough new features (and avioding the problems of passing around excel files over email) that it make it a worthwhile alternative.
What do you dislike about the product?
SmartSheet lacks some of the more complex visuals availablein products like Power BI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet helps with a myriad of issues, particularly when live online colloboration between peers is needed.. Some examples I have used it for include: creating project managament tools for diffrent teams that allow quick access for collegues and leadership, repositories that allow multiple teams to easily store and refrence business critical datasets, and task managers that dicdate a team's weekly work schedule and prioritization.

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Smartsheet: its adaptability in overseeing various projects and comprehensive portfolios. Using the program, I am able to use a wide variety of pre-existing templates that I can tailor to streamline my workflow. Enhancing process assignments through effective monitoring, it can oversee tasks with skill. Robust and providing real-time data, the dashboards are essential for informed decision-making. By streamlining project management with Smartsheet, we can free up time to concentrate on high-level objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet struggles with complex formulas. Large datasets may exceed the data sheet's storage capacity, requiring regular refreshment to display the data accurately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving work processes within fragmented job environments, Smartsheet acts as a seamless integrator. Efficiency gains result from having all tasks and projects integrated into a single system. Eliminating manual processes through automation allows the team to reallocate time productively.
Smartsheet is an efficient, simple, and effective way to collaborate and keep track of projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way you are able to build in steps to move a project along in a process. I also love the ability to switch views and use things like the calendar feature or tagging contibutors.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that sometimes I wish there was an easier way to track data or see stats on how projects are doing or how they are progressing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of colloborating on content calendars and planning ahead for all types of marketing communicaton. It is beneficial becasue it allows us to stay organized while also providing everyone necessary a full picture view of our communication plans to clients.
Smartsheet provides a great organization and view for your projects
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the general view of a project in smartsheets. I like that you can customize the fields that you want to use and show. It is a great tool if you have multiple teams working towards the same project goal and if there are dependencies you can easily track them here.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use JIRA at our company to track tasks for a project and although I can put the JIRA links into smartsheet for reference and tracking, with out a JIRA integration keeping the status field updated is a very manual taks. I have to click on the JIRA link, see the status and manually update the staus field, which if you have a very large project, it is time consuming. If Smartsheets had a JIRA integration i think this would be a perfect tool for what we use it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a holistic view of a project and all of the tasks required to complete it. If our engineers do thri job of estimating their tasks, it allows us to see an espected completion date.
All-in-one tool for capturing feedback of all kinds
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to build surveys/forms for all types of projects. The forms function allows multiple different iterations/phases of a project to be captured in one place. Logic functions and question types include everything you could want to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest downside is there are so many functions of Smartsheet that at times it is a bit overwhelming trying to find what would work best for you, but there are plenty of resources and tutorials available online that you are always able to find a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest use case for my team is hearing from different teams, whether within our support center, or employees in the field. We leverage Smartsheet to capture feedback from all different groups and can track changes over time, which helps us show improvement and/or areas of focus
Smartsheet Track and Update Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Our business uses Smartsheet throughout many departments. We are able to keep updates on our clients and customers using smartsheet. Smartsheet is like using a csv file and Word product at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not change anything about the functionality of Smartsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we have rotating clients, Smartsheet gives us the ability to track whether clients are active or inactive with our company.
Simple tracking and project management solution
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet continues to improve the usability of its solution by adding functions and features being requested by users. The tool is simple enough that onboarding new users or customers is not time-consuming. The ability to create web forms quickly makes the tool great when working on wireframe workflows. Overall, I've been very happy with the tool for the last several years of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of its user interface, it's not easy to combine information from multiple sheets together. There are a lot of enterprise features to help with version control, but those are not included in the base price of the solution. There have been plenty of times when I started a new Smartsheet and realized that a spreadsheet was probably a better solution after things started to get complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily leverage Smartsheet for Project Management with our customers. It allows us to create simple Project Plans that can be shared and collaborated with customers.
Good but not yet enough
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy is to track projects and some very useful templates with high level dasboards that can help to show it to executive. For an expert on smartsheets, I think it is really cool we can customize formulas to add conditionals
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used other tools and I think sometimes smartsheets can be replaced by Excel if we want to go free. I don't like that a beginner will have a bit of hard time if they use a template with formulas while other applications are not "sheets" with formulas, but they have features you can add the way you want
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fast way to create a project with timelines, assignees and other features that we use to track completion. The "quick" solution to use a template has helped me several times
Smartsheet is more powerful than many know but its target audience is unclear at times
What do you like best about the product?
Building large datasheets and then slicing and dicing them into multiple reports, it is easy for me to target different audiences through reporting and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a PM software, there are fundamental functions missing. For example, There is no native way to put a dependency on a task to start no earlier than a certain date. it is driven by predecessors. You need to make a phantom task and set that as a predecessor to accomplish this, but it is clunky. Additionally, you cannot use elapsed time in the lead and lag time (only duration).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest gap we are covering with Smartsheet is a lack of communication across the entire organization. We have built a portfolio dashboard to allow a centalized view into all of our projects at a high level.
