Great collaborative program for a work environment & a nice excel alternative for simple uses.
What do you like best about the product?
* The collaborative use for multiple people needing to access & work on the same documents.
* How multiple sheets can work together (in stages) as long as the multiple sheets are set up exactly alike.
* You can attach documents and emails to specific lines. Completely helps with keeping track of associated documents.
* Lines/rows can have parent/child relationships. Helps when you have 1 project with multiple scopes to track.
* Not only can multiple sheets work together, but a report sheet can be created so that you can work on multiple sheets in the 1 report sheet.
* Simpler to create a new document with the controlled column choices during document creation.
* Sending messages right through Smartsheets!!!

What do you dislike about the product?
* The report sheet is wonderful, but I wish that I could update formats on the report sheet (like changing colors to cells).
* When locking columns, all columns to the left of the particular column you want to lock "all" gets locked.
* Parent/child lines are automatically adopted on the next row. This is a bit annoying when you want to enter the next row for a brand new topic/project not related to the line above that is a "child" line.
* When adding new selections to an existing selection drop-down box, it does not automatically alphabetically sort. You have to physically enter your new selection in the correct spot to keep it alphabetical.

It's should be more like excel in making datas or diagrams.

Great system to organise anything
What do you like best about the product?
The Flexablity to talour your smartsheet to your specific requierments is exciting. By using automation and the vlook up function to work of more than one sheet it makes everything extremely ewasy. The impact it has had on streamlinig our process is remarkable. we can even colaborte within the smartsheet and work in groups on different projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challange i've found was the complexiity of the smartsheet functions. it can be difficult to grasp at first. the second limtiation is that you can only past in 500 rows at a time. it's limiting when you want to past in a whole excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use the smartsheet to help us track back orders. We have 4 steps that need to happen if we don't have osmehting in stock and they need to be performed by 4 different individuals. the smart sheet helps us track progress.

What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration aspect, our team is spread across NZ and the ability to work on registers and documents together has created greater efficiencies and leveled up our working relationships.
It intergrates with our original systems and has even replaced a couple saving us time and money.
The support available is outstanding, I frequently use the forums to solve issues, and have not come across an issus that hasn't already been asked and solved within these chats. Our account manager Diego is fantasitc and always available to help and suggest new and exciting options.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has some limitations around the functions within forms, we are able to do a lot, however run into some issues when the workflows get too complex. To solve this we have utalised another forms program that intergrates seamlessly with smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, we were previously using a costly third party task manager to record completed tasks. in July we set up a new smartsheet and some workflows for reminders to record and store the completed tasks. This has created efficencies within the team and we were able to save approx $1,500 per month.
SmartSheet in a Pharma Setting
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy how the grid and Gantt views are integrated with each other. It makes it easy to see how changes impact the timeline. I like the ability to tag people. I also enjoy how easy it is to insert and delete lines. I enjoy the dashboard feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the card feature was easier to use - it is clunky with how it integrates with the grid view. Many of the commands (like color coding) are not intuitive and require effort to learn how to use effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company utilizes smartsheet for all project plans and as our single source of truth. It allows for greater version control vs. excel and easier reporting out via the dashboard function.

I love how Smartsheets supports and ease of real time collaboration, template creation and customization, and automation.

Setting up the formulas is definitly a bit complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet primarily to record our monetary deposits and relevant infomation as well as our in depth finanical information on our Private Revenue Tracker. Smartsheets benefits us because there are multiple individuals within seperate divisions who need access to our financial infomation and the collaborative ease of Smartsheets allows us to communicate and keep information up to date without any hassle.

I love the abililty to make dashboards and show my team all of the information they want to see.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can be a little finicky. It's challenging at times when a link gets broken and you have to go back and find where that happened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest probalem it's solving is by being a project management software we can use organization wide tha we didn't have previously.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and simplicity. Creates very visually pleasing reports. Automation feature is a great asset but could use more features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are just too rigid. Some formulas are not available that are common in Excel. Filter function gets confused sometimes. When I track something in a sheet, the rules are too restrictive to allow me to highlight multiple values.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating shipping request functions into one location instead of a bunch of emails. RFQ tracking is a great tool that helps capture all the data I need to keep track of costs.
Smartsheet useful for online cooperation between multiple locations and/or companies.

That it is online, that it can show what has recently been modified, that it has options to change appearance based on status of issues.

It can grow complicated quite easily and you have to with all users agree on, and stick to, the Rules of Usage"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rather than exchanging "issue lists" in Excel having the list online helps a lot. And the option to share images in issues, and attach files to the issues is also useful (although using attachments too much may be quite dangerous and require proper management)
Newly-known and super effective software to solve manual and administrative tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Although I am only a collaborator, love the all the automation festures this offer, reminders sent to my emails that requires actions and notifications on the progresss where someone else in the team give input.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes this sheet take a whole to load, or could not load at all, so I need to clear cache in the browser and restart so it could work again.
Moreover, sometimes I experience the error that I could not save my input, so for two or three times, I need to replacate all of my input due to this error ...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps remind me to actions, i.e. when other team members finish their part, the software will send me emails to notify, so I could go and start working on my part. It also often remind me to do the task as well when the task sliped my mind during peak period.
The software also has mobile version so I could work flexibly even while I am on at my desk.
