Is very useful for make simple automation process
What do you like best about the product?
The best of smartsheet is the automation process that we can make for a company, because is simple to use for the users, is easy to configurate, is visually aceptable. I like best of smartsheet that usually they are trying to incorporate new features for improve the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, the visualization part of smartsheet, for me is not easy to make a visualization as is easy in Power BI or Tableau. I think taht it could be a point to improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automation of workflows, we was trying to solve the problem of not getting some approvals by mail all the time and to have the control on how many request we have to manage per week, per month, etc.
Good tool for charts and tracking projects
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked the Jira to smartsheet connector. I used this for my team to track trends for an enternal IT Service desk. I was able to pull in Jira ticket data based on topics, totals, status, etc. I used this data to create easy to understand charts which made it easier for our business teams to understand what types of issues we are seeing the most. This helped us then figure out where process/feature improvements should be developed. We also used smartsheets to track progress for different in flight projects and assign reminders on what is needed next and who to follow up with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for manipulating data in order for the chart to actually read it can be clunky. It is also not always very clear what is needed to be updated in order to have the chart read the data correctly. If a function does not work, sometimes it is not clear what needs to be updated or where the logic breaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Smarthseet solves for us is the ability to display Jira data in a readable and digestable way. The widgets that come with Jira are not very user friendly and very limited in their ability to provide usable information at a high level.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great all around tool for automation, data collection and visualization, as well as team organization. Forms and sheets are intuitive to build. Converting between different views is a huge strength here, grid, calendar, cards, etc are all flexible depending on what someone wants to see.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chart building in the dashboard builder is not as intuitive as other systems like Adobe Workfront. It should be more drag and drop and flexible with how you arange the groupings of the data. There are not great resourcing and capacity management options for teams that do not use Smartsheet to project manage all work. From Demos of Smartsheet Data Shuttle and Table, it only seems to be able to add new data but not look out for any data that was removed in an upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving the need to be more automated in our communications across an internal digital product development agency. As a central operations team, we use Smartsheet to automate reminders, obtain request approvals on various processes (travel, training, language translations) as well as track our team's work and plan communications/deadlines on a collaborative calendar. Smartsheet has saved us time in sending out manual reminders and allows us to be more transparent in our workflows.

What do you like best about the product?
Helps turn basic spreadsheets and data into valuable insights, project plans and to-do lists

Initial setup and learning can be a bit tedious, but its fine after that

What do you like best about the product?
For me the biggested upside with Smartsheets is the ability to easily share program schedules from a Cloud location, allowing multiuple people the ability to see my updates in real time and not having to email or share local copies of a program file.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no easy methods of doing a roll back on a file if you want to view previous schedules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share schedules across a distrubted organization is simplcty and ease.
Smartsheets for Learning and Development Metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets enable me to collect and report data from pre and post learning and development activities. I appreciate the ability to create custom reports from multiple sheets, relevant to various audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more options in Forms that enable them to be used as a survey. In particular, I'd like to be able to create a table in forms with two fields--one for the text and one for a response. I would also like to see a dashboard wigit that combines both a table and a graph. This would improve communication and be inclusive for those that prefer to see data in a table and data in graph form. Another improvement would be the ability to add a trend line to a bar graph.

User friendly project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part of smartsheet is the ability to put into practice without the need for downloading and dealing with microsoft project. Its very intuitive for staff to pick up and includes most major features needed for a gantt chart tool. Especially in times of hyrbid work environments, its very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Relying on a web-based tool is risky. There are some limitations to the user configurations and formatting. The cost is can quickly ballon but overall its worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing laboratory and maintenance schedules across multiple sites and multiple users. Also it is used in gantt chart planning to visualize the schedule and critical path. We have also used some of the templates for employee reviews and request forms
Great for tracking and reporting
What do you like best about the product?
We use the software to keep track of internal ticket requests; think of problems with a software, or creating new accounts. We also use the form feature to gather data on processes internally. The main feature we appreciate is that it can convert the data into reports and spreadsheets, but we can also see the data in real-time in different views-card or Gant. The software is also versatile in that we use it for project management; it is a great place to keep track of approved documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
We do wish you could place more than one document in a proof. We use the proof feature to approve documents at the beginning and end of a project. We also wish it had move features to do surveys
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have visiblity on projects and data, which is great! We also have one place to place the data. We also use it to keep track of requests; easy tasks and then large requests.
LOVE SmartSheet!
What do you like best about the product?
I love automation capabilities and the ability to have several sheets work together to demonstrate a project. It makes managing a large workload easy and visually appealing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it does take quite a bit of time investment in order to understand how to use the tool and turn a vision into reality. Some things are very intuitive and some take a lot of research.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet keeps me organized and allows for seamless prioritization. Once you are fully in the tool, maintenance is low and the benefits are immense. Deadlines are not missed, there is a clear and documented plan and information is easily shared.
