The easiest way to manage projects and collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is relatively easy to use. It as a wide variety of funtions, but it takes relatively little time to learn how to use them. Moreover, we don't need to know them all to work efficiently. And there is also a lot of material available to learn.
It is easy to work in large groups because information is shared quickly. In this way, we all have feedback on actual progress.

What do you dislike about the product?
The licenses are quite expensive for little companies. There are indeed several levels of licenses, but it becomes complicated for each worker to have their own license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large working group. Smartsheet serves as a platform to collect and provide relevant information quickly.
Reporting every task performed and the results is no longer necessary, so it is much more comfortable to work now.

A good way to boost productivity
What do you like best about the product?
I am impressed by the power of Smartsheet. I can seamlessly manage multiple projects with numerous instances and matrices. It's perfect for working simultaneously without worries. The default view is good, but the Gantt view is fantastic. It's perfect because I can see the project's progress in detail without leaving the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the integrations could be better. The software needs better integrations, especially with cloud storage. However, it's a pretty specific detail and I like it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task automation is the feature I use the most. It saves me a lot of time because it does the work for me.
The progress tracking is also excellent. The software is a central dashboard for each of our projects.
In a short time, we set up a system where each task is intelligently assigned to a team member.

Great for Teams in multiple locations
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you the product can be accessed from anywhere. I also love that you can see a history on every cell. You can see who made a change and when. This is very helpful when you have mutliple people using the same sheets
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search feature doesnt not find items it should. I have to try and search multiple ways to find what I am looking for within the sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows our team to collborate and work together even though we arent located in the same place. It is also nice that several people can be working on one sheet at the same time

It should offer varied templates based on what the user is looking for.

Reducing the need to consolidate different inputs from different files.

What do you like best about the product?
My review is in the context of a Project Manager. When using Smartsheets I have found it takes the best from Excel and MSP and puts it in a simplistic platform that enables the delivery of a small low complexity project, to the reporting of a complex portfolio of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any thing its knowing when best to apply and use it. If user access isn't control sufficiently or if users are trained sufficienty it can easily get messy / out of control.
The outlook for the software looks great, however if you are used to using MSP / excel there are certain features that you would be used to that are not available 'yet' (hopefully on the road map). Such as being able to set and apply multiple baselines and track performance again these opposed to just the latest.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to report on multiple projects in a variety of reports and / or dashboards that is set on live up todate data and doesn't relie on manual intervention to produce a report.
Smartsheet has been one of the helpful tools in my daily work tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet as a collaboration tool is one of the best thing about the application. It's really easy to communicate and share the outputs/sheets to other users, not just the user within the organization but also outside collaborators.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some functions that are limited in Smartsheet. For example, in the Dashboard, the graphs and charts have limited editing options. It can't be manipulated just like in the Excel or PowerPoint charts and graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not really a busines problem, but Smartsheet improves the way we collaborate with other members of the team whenever there are projects. It enable us to communicate easily with each other.
Easy to learn, hard to master
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets takes the similar format of software such as Mircrosoft excel and Microsoft planning etc. This allows you to dive right in and make use of previously gathered knowledge

Whilst the software already seems to be fimilar, it struggles to hold your hand when walking you through features that would are unique to its own programme. I think if there are more templates available for users to start with, this can inspire ideas and allow users to reverse engineer templates to figure out how things work/what they like,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets allows me to seemlessly create workflows through effective Gaant charts and assign responsible owners to tasks. Previously, I would use insufficient sofware such as google slides or excel spreadsheets that wouldn't offer as much utility as Smartsheets
Highly customisable and easy to use PPM tool
What do you like best about the product?
My team started using Smartsheet to improve automation for portfolio management reporting a year ago. In this time the functionalities I realy enjoy are the dashboards and the collaboration tools that allow tagging, and creating workflows to trigger notifications and request specific actions. The roll out of the tool has been quite easy as well, as it is based on spreadsheets so it wasn't a steep learning curve. I also found the help center very useful for self-guided learning. As the tool is very flexible, it is easy to customise the sheets to serve different purposes and track different data points. I personally use it for benefits, resourcing and project delivery tracking and it makes it very easy to use and report on. Overall team productivity has increased since we implemented Smartsheet and reporting is much more streamlined which has solved the primary issues we wanted to.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion what is good about the tool, can also be a limitation - it is very easy to utilise Smartsheet for waterfall projects, but I struggle to translate more Agile ways of working within it. The planing/ roadmap functionality is a bit limited and it provides information in a very 'top-left, bottom-right' manner which can be a hindrance to presenting detailed information for a portfolio view. There are paid-for add ons that can cover the need for these but it is a bit disappointing they are not part of the main packadge. Other than the above I find the tool easy to implement and use and to provide a good foundational reporting and portfolio management capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and reporting ease. Before adopting Smartsheet my team did lengthy ppt reports with no easy and unifor way to present data visually. It would take ages to edit a slide. Now, we use dashboards and reporting and all stakeholders have the approvpriate level access to 'self-serve' and interrogate the data independently. And it is much easier for Programme Managers to input the data in the tool by being reminded through the workflow syste. We reduced time in chasing and asking about data and producing report, raising overall productivity and increasing engagement.
Very useful tool that easily extends the capability of a normal spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet extremely user friendly and it allows me to perform tasks easily that are not that simple to achieve ina spreadsheet. It also allows be to perfom the basic functions required of a project management tool, providing me with the required views and reporting capabilities without the complexity of regular project management tools. It is an extremely versitle tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that when using Smartsheet to build out a schedule I am provided with most of the functions I require. This may just be my understanding of how to use the product, however when I have predecessors established, inserting or deleting tasks breaks the logic of predecessors/successors and the taks don't automatically keep their order Iand I need to manually create the links again. For this reason I still use MS Project and have not fully migrated to using Smartsheets. If this issue of resolved (or I am shown how to do this), I would have no reason to continue using MS Project.

What do you like best about the product?
THe most helpful part of Smartsheet, is you can easily link sheets together, so you can have different information from a variety of sheets all entered into one sheet, without needing to manually add the data in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike much about smartsheet, it is great to use, and I haven't found any down sides to using it.
The only thing, i dislike is how sometimes it takes a while to save all your data, this may not be a problem you can fix, but just one dislike.

Using smartsheet solves many problems, as it allows everyone in our team to edit the same sheet easily. This is greatly benefitted how way of storing data, and information on tasks and projects.
