Automation for the Win
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the automation when you load the excel it just flows in!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that when your link breaks in portals it would alert me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all vendor data in one place makes it easy for billing and coordinating who sees the candidates scores
I use Smartsheet for work because it's a secure way to share information/data within the company.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect is the ability to tailor the permissions and access for each person. I maintain a detailed database and I need to be sure people aren't messing with my things. But, I also need some people to update certain cells and other people to be able to view it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could just be using it wrong, but it bothers me that I can't add multiple rows at a time. I also haven't been able to find a copy format like Excel has. I also wish you could have multiple worksheets for each workbook like in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a shared space that everyone can come to and keep their documents ever-green. We can't use google sheets because it's not secure enough. It's also nice that you can set up auto emails to go out when things are changed.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Cost: Some users may find SmartSheet relatively expensive, especially when compared to free or lower-priced alternatives.

Nice platform that adds a lot of convenience to a spreadsheet tool, but price won't be for everyone.
What do you like best about the product?
The reports function is very quick and useful right out of the box. Takes spreadsheets to the next level with very little time on task developing tools. Trying to set up the same sort of system in house would be a monumental task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the functionality was a little more open-ended, with fewer constraints on how you can use the data. In this way, open platform spreadsheets are sometimes more useful. It's a trade off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling. Our production manager uses it every day to develope and track production schedules for 7 field teams and dozens of projects. The detail he can put into them and the connectivity to reporting features save a lot of time and give us great insights into our production team.
An Excellent Project Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet offers a comprehensive suite of project management tools that cater to various needs. Whether it's task tracking, Gantt charts, resource allocation, or reporting, the software covers it all. The flexibility to customize sheets and workflows to suit our specific projects has been very helpful, allowing us to tailor the platform precisely to our requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest criticism of Smartsheet is the pricing structure. I work for a university where the cost of a license more than doubled, causing many people to look for another solution...which drove the price even higher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to create task lists, set deadlines, and establish dependencies, making it easier to monitor progress and identify potential roadblocks. The Gantt chart view provides a visual representation of project timelines, helping our clients to stay on schedule, identify bottlenecks, and allocate resources effectively. This leads to better project planning and more accurate project execution.

Less capability then excel.

Smartsheet gives good insight of the project overall. Help to collaborate with people easily from different teams.Smartsheet also help you reduce usage of other tools like Excel for few tasks.

Good Team Software
What do you like best about the product?
Very good software for use in teams and departments. Allows everyone to work together, at the same time on one sheet. We are able to use multiple sheets for multiple departments and then track progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I were to change anything, is that I would like certain areas to function more like excel. Drag down, auto calc, etc... Would also like more control of the cells and columns

We use it as a tool to track company objectives and to do's for individuals and departments. It allows us to all have visibility as to what others are completing

Being able to customize information and share correspondence with others.

There is no aspects of Smartsheets I dislike. I like all the tools available and hoping to learn more.

Smartsheet is a beneficial tool that assist with project organization, as well as collaborations when issues arrives.
Smartsheet enables me to handle my data swiftly.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are a range of formats that I can use and that I can switch between views eg. cards vs. traditional spreadsheet. It's also been so helpful to be able to swiftly integrate forms with spreadsheets and made it more user friendly to collaborate with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find it difficult to choose between the different options that there are when creating a new report - this might just be the different files that I can pull from but sometimes it does take me a while to work out what I want to do. Once it is set up everything is fab though!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me an overview of the range of products I work on, knowing that other colleagues are also seeing the updates live. It has also been invaluable in terms of only displaying the information I need (and similar for my colleagues) without having the overwhelming list of every single status from across developmentwhen I look at a project.
