Smartsheet is a powerful tool, is helps you better manage your projects and tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
The automation tools maje project management more afficient and fast, you can even make reports out of those sheets, so upper management can see a resumen version.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it can be a little stressing thah the formulas used for automarion, differ a little bit from other popular software (example: Excel). So, standarizing formulas can be a pretty good action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my team, we had trouble assigning tasks and time required for projects. With smartsheet, we achieved a very powerful sheet that recopiles data from others, so you can see in real time what you need to do.
Nothing beats Smartsheet when it comes to large scale project management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is really good because it can do so many things. It helps teams work together on projects and keep track of their work. It's easy to plan, track, and report with all the features it has.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Smartsheet can be overwhelming due to its wide array of features. The sheer amount of functionality can be complex to navigate for newcomers, leading to initial efficiency loss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great at showing updates and progress in real time. Seeing this helps us be responsible and makes sure we're on the right path to reach our goals.
Great for Project Management & Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet can gather information (in the way of a Smartsheet form) and then use this information in reporting, by creating a dashboard, which are very easy to share/present and automatically update.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently no option to create a form that auto calculates (like an order form, which would calculate the order total, or a quiz where it will autopopulate the result, or number of questions correct).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is creating a platform where all users from within the company can have tasks assigned to them, creating more accountability (can even use email reminders if needed).
Very good system - But I wouldn't purchase for my needs
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has always been a very easy to use and useful tool. I mainly used it on projects and systems I was involved in, this meant that someone else had set up the sheets and had paid for the subscription. And generally it was a very useful and adaptable tool, being easy to fill in from both your laptop and your phone and instantly saving and updating for all those using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wanted to use Smartsheet for our business to lay out project after seeing their Gantt Chart tool. The problem that I have had with smartsheet since signing up for a subscription myself is that it was £60 and then turned out that no one else could edit without paying for a better subscription or they all had their own paid version. This made the tool useless and it wasn't worth it for us to upgrade. Then it has been very hard to get hold of the team to request a cancellation of our subscription, and the only option I could find online was to upgrade it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet was allowing us to keep a central place that everyone could access, all information and documents could be uploaded with a massive variety in the set-up of the document to suit the particular requirements. Being able to create all sorts of charts and sheets and have everyone comment on sections or upload linking documents.
The Ability to Share the Impossible
What do you like best about the product?
I love how productive our multiple sites have become by being able to real-time share data. Not everyone is formula savy, but they can all understand sheets with conditional formatting and dashboards created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of consistent account management or even a person that is easy to get in touch with is very frustrating. In the past year, I am pretty sure we've had 4 or more account managers. Adding a bit more care and personal touch to our account would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple locations around the world. This allows for us to share data in real time and the ability for anyone to complete needed information within the sheets.
Using Smartsheet for organised team and task management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way Smartsheet helps me stay organised and up to date. Being able to get these updates in real time allows me to make more informed decisions. The improved communication between departments is also a great bonus, as it has made our team much more collaborative than before. Automated processes and pre-set alerts allow us to focus on key tasks without wasting time on non-essential tasks. In addition, calendars make it easier to keep track of daily commitments, while still allowing us to control our own agenda at all times - which I find incredibly useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet lacks the ability to let users save and reuse customisable template instructions in an efficient way. This lack of functionality makes compliance with required policies more difficult and time consuming, as it is often necessary to create individual policies as not all precedents may apply. It would be very useful if updated guidance could be more easily accessed within this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've found Smartsheet to be incredibly helpful in streamlining our internal documents, initiatives and data. I appreciate how quickly and easily it can keep us on track by automatically updating information as needed or sending out requests as required.
Smartsheet for Manufacturing
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to keep so many key components of our manufacturing process in 1 place. Beginning stages of tooling, production scheduling, previous customer specifications and production parameters, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside is minor fixes that pertain to usability, automatic attachments and things like that. Part of it might just be my lack of knowledge.
I also don't know if it has now changed, but previously when I tried to receive support when I ran into an issue it was impossible to talk to a live person, everything sent me to chat forums. When I submitted a ticket it took days to get a response. Time is crucial in the manufacturing process so that was quite a delay.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves the largest "problem" of production scheduling and the order of events that follow within our production line. It allows us to create a streamlined process and have access to the majority of nexessary information within one system.
Excellent Gantt Chart Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about smartsheet is the ease at which you can create and edit gantt charts. Being a project manager for projects lasting mutliple years with many different components, this tool is essential and keeps everyone on schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally wish Smartsheet saved automatically like Google docs/sheets do. Other than that, it is pretty self explanatory and I have not noticed any major issues duirng my couple years of using this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems Smartsheet solve are helping to identify critical paths and deadlines for our project simply by inputting timelines and tying items together. This keeps everyone on track and on the same page as far as what and when things need to get done.

vlook up formula doesn't support in smartsheet.

Smartsheet is solving the problem of storing the data. smartsheet is Easy to use tool, it is best tool for sharing the data to others, this is the best tool for project mamagement.
A practical tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
How fast and responsive it is. It is also relatively easy to use and to share with the team and stakeholders. I can create multiple boards and with multiple styles
What do you dislike about the product?
Timelines that are under a group don't move together with its parent. Not sure if I'm not doing this right. Whichever the case, it should be easier to perform this task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to plan, organise and visualise tasks in hand, with the flexibility to change them in real-time. It also helps by being a single source of through when it comes to tasks assignment and deadlines.
