Efficient Collaboration with Intuitive Filter System
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Smartsheet's filtering system because it's seamless and intuitive. It's very easy to create and find fields, which is essential for efficiency given the sheer volume of cells I deal with. Also, I appreciate that Smartsheet being cloud-based allows multiple people to contribute to a sheet simultaneously. The initial setup of Smartsheet was very easy after some training, which was helpful. I think it's fantastic overall despite having one or two things I'd change.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to collaborate with people on the same sheet at the same time is great. However, there's the problem of accidentally overwriting someone's work. I think this could be avoided if the page is auto-refreshed more frequently, or if the users are able to see other's inputs in real time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet simplifies asset management by eliminating the need for complex Excel commands and allows simultaneous collaboration. Its intuitive filtering system enhances efficiency by managing large data volumes effectively.
Revolutionized Our Collaboration and Data Management
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet as a replacement for Excel, especially with the additional cell capabilities for managing project data and tracking progress. I like that I can consolidate multiple spreadsheets into one and use it as a task scheduler with progress updates. It's very helpful for collaboration when multiple people work on it since everyone can update it simultaneously. The auto-save feature is amazing, and I find the reminders and updates quite helpful. I love being able to connect Smartsheet to Slack and Salesforce, allowing me to import workflows and get immediate notifications on Slack when tasks are updated. The capacity to upload forms from Salesforce and track progress is just brilliant. I also enjoy that it doesn't have cell constraints, which is perfect for uploading lots of cloud metadata for analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until you learn the tool, you may get confused as there are too many options, and we are not aware of those in detail. It doesn't have an option to work offline—this is a major drawback. Not friendly on mobile. Offline version could be helpful if it can be available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet as a replacement for Excel, with more cells and features like task scheduling and progress tracking. It consolidates multiple spreadsheets into one, allowing simultaneous collaboration, auto-saving, and helpful reminders. Integrations with Slack and Salesforce streamline workflow and data management.
Smartsheet: The Ultimate Project Planning Tool with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who has worked as a project manager for many years, I can confidently say that Smartsheet is the best tool I have used for project planning. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate, and it offers a wide range of features that can be customized to fit your particular requirements. Additionally, if any issues come up, there is always support available from a dedicated Smartsheet account manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I appreciate being able to export a Gantt chart of my project plan, but I find that the PDF and Excel export options often aren't ideal for my team or clients, especially when the project includes many rows or spans a long timeframe. The resulting files can be difficult to read and don't always present the information in the most accessible way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been valuable for managing my projects, and it is especially helpful for programme management when I have several projects happening at the same time, each with its own timeline, within a large and busy account.
Efficient Setup and Great for Task Scheduling, But Lacks Task Connectivity
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet for its speed and performance, as it operates quite quickly compared to other tools I’ve used. The ease of setup is another great advantage, making it straightforward to get started without any hassle. The filtering system is particularly valuable to me, as it allows me to organize and categorize tasks efficiently, making task management much simpler. Additionally, the overall usability of Smartsheet is quite easy, fostering user-friendly navigation which I find beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet lacks the ability to connect one task to another, which limits the functionality and visual clarity for managing related tasks. Additionally, the performance slows down when too many tasks are open in one sheet, which impacts efficiency when dealing with large volumes of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Smartsheet to manage and schedule tasks, leave comments, and attach files, enhancing coordination and task tracking. It facilitated task categorization and filtering, making it easier to organize and find information.
Streamlined Project Management with Some Performance Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Smartsheet's automation features, particularly its ability to send automatic reminders to team members when their tasks are due. This automation saves me considerable time as I no longer need to manually chase people for updates. I also love the visibility that Smartsheet provides through its Dashboards and Gantt charts, which allows me to be proactive in project management rather than reactive. I can quickly identify delays and adjust resources accordingly to keep the projects on track. The integration with tools like Outlook and Microsoft Teams enhances productivity by allowing me to create tasks directly from my email inbox and pin project sheets for easy access. Transitioning from Microsoft Excel was seamless due to the familiar interface of Smartsheet, requiring minimal training for the team, and the ability to import existing spreadsheets directly was a huge time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that performance can sometimes lag when working with large sheets containing thousands of rows or many formulas. It takes a moment to save or load dashboards, which can be slightly frustrating during busy days. Additionally, I would prefer a simpler built-in feature to automatically archive old rows to a separate sheet based on a date or status. Currently, keeping the active sheets clean to maintain high performance requires setting up extra workflows, which could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to track project schedules, reducing emails and meetings by sharing progress in one sheet. Automations send reminders, saving time. It offers visibility for proactive management and integrates with Outlook and Teams for seamless task management.
Real-Time Collaboration Makes Forms a Breeze

What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve noticed that there can be quite a few email notifications whenever sheets are updated.

We use Smartsheet to record any delivery discrepancies that arise in our warehouse. This documentation is then sent to the purchasing department at a different location, allowing them to follow up with our suppliers and resolve any issues. Additionally, we utilize Smartsheet to keep track of our weekly fire alarm tests.
Streamlines Team Tasks with Minor Card View Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet incredibly valuable because of its easy-to-use interface, which greatly simplifies my work processes. Its scalability is impressive, allowing it to grow alongside my team's needs effortlessly. The third-party compatibility features stand out as they enable me to develop powerful, complex functionalities by integrating Smartsheet with other products. This integration capability not only enhances efficiency but also ensures a seamless workflow across different tools, making it a central hub for team coordination and communication. Additionally, I appreciated how straightforward the initial setup was, which eased my onboarding experience significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s still some bugs in Smartsheet, especially in the card view. The most problematic issue is that card sorting sometimes doesn’t work, causing cards to move randomly and fail to stay in the correct order.

Smartsheet enhances our team's organization, coordination, and communication. It is easy to use, scalable, and compatible with third-party tools, allowing us to develop powerful features.

Essential Tool for Coordinating Complex Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is one of several tools we rely on to support our project management efforts. It is particularly effective when we need a single source of truth—a master schedule—to coordinate complex projects that involve numerous dependencies. This approach allows us to offer multiple filtered views tailored to different stakeholders, helping us stay on top of progress throughout the project. It is very useful when you have a high number of participants as everybody can be assigned at least 'viewer' status. It is also easy to integrate with some of the other tools in our stack such as MS-Teams, Jira and Confluence. It is extremely flexible and playbooks can be developed for different project types e.g. M&A, onboarding, transformations.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it is highly flexible and far more powerful than many people realize, it does demand a considerable amount of configuration to be used effectively. Nevertheless, once properly set up, it stands alongside the top dedicated project management tools, surpassing most of them in terms of work management capabilities. Some potential users don't appreciate this and see it as a kind of Excel with Gantt charts!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing complex projects with many moving inter-dependant parts. Transformations and large tech migrations
