Easy to use tool that can accomplish multiple business goals
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and intuitive. So it is easy to spin up a new sheet/form in just a few minutes. The logic built into the form is also very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality feels limited at times. Sometimes I want to do more complex things in the sheet that just aren't possible. And while the form features are easy to use - I can also find them limiting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy collaboration via single sign on. It is used to build out an integrated events calendar. I have used it multiple times for both internal and external data gathering as well

makes it easy to plan, capture, manage, and report on work from anywhere, helping teams to be more effective and get more done. Report and real-time visibility into work as it happens keeps the team connected and informed
Great for Automations and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a handy tool in keeping track of everyone's time and tasks. From a project management standpoint, it is handy to make sure that all members of the team are notified ahead of time.
It's also great that you can keep files and links within the cells, there are many ways to maximize these features.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has a lot of nifty features, but you need to have a lot of time to understand the features in your own time, or get certified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the ways that we use Smartsheets is to track all of our projects across all verticals in one place. It is a tool that can reference other sheets, and having a master tracker that links to smaller projects come in handy on a regular basis.
Efficient and reliable as repository file system
What do you like best about the product?
it alllows me to have a one and onle point in common with suppliers to ensure all docs needed for our commercial relationship are in the same place, dated and controlled
What do you dislike about the product?
The person that receives a notification when sending a row receives a quite complex notification, they don't pereceive it as an email and there is risk they think is either spam or just another uncomfortable notification and they try to avoid reaing the email as the subject is quite long/daunting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Making sure I have a timestamp for when files where sent so no chance to argue

Using Smartsheets for IPD Construction Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Our team used Smarsheets to share information with all of the team members on our construction project. It allowed the Owner, architect, and trade partners to collaborate, share information, and track progress on one platform. We were able to set up a project dashboard that reported the progress of construction and financials to the Owner on one sheet that pulled data from other collections of data. The ability to have multiple team members working on the platform and updating information simultaneously is what was very useful to us. It was easy to share with team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is just different enough from Microsoft Excel that it took some getting used to. There was definitely a learning curve. Training materials were helpful, but took some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work on construction projects that have several team members and a lot of information that needs to be tracked. Sharing and updating this information in a timely manner is one of the issues Smartsheets helped us solve.
Often times we have been using multiple programs to track progress and finances, which can be a burden. It was nice to have a single project dashboard that was able to compile a lot of this information in one place on one platform.

Easy to use API makes automating tasks for my team a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to coordinate with my team and automate repetitive tasks easily without the overhead of internal systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see built-in webhooks for simple Python scripts one day, but that may be a pipe dream.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Equipped with Slack integration and internal automation, Smartsheet allows us to compile all our tickets into easy-to-use and share schedules for our team.
Master your project tracking with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Smartsheet several years ago by my previous boss. Our team used it to keep track of projects and I was immediately impressed by the different features that are not availablen in Excel. After switching roles and joining a new team, I asked my new company to get Smartsheet licenses because that's how much I enjoyed using the software! The features I like the most are Dashboards and Reports. The ability to summarize sheets and compile information from different sheets has been crucial for my successful project tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside I've found to using Smartsheet is that my collaborators are unwilling to learn yet another software. There is a little bit of a learning curve in order to make the most of all of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped us a lot with collaboration and being able to manage tasks across a cross-functional team. We love being able to have checklists in Smartsheet that we can view as a Gantt chart.
An Exceptional Resource for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which the grid view and columns may be personalized for project management is one of the aspects of Smartsheet that I appreciate the most. For projects with many moving pieces, you can be as precise or as general as you like, involve participants from multiple teams, and monitor your progress. At my organization, one of the hats I wear is overseeing the ongoing process improvements in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which affects more than one department. When an item is delegated to a particular person or when the status of work shifts from "not started" to "in progress" to "complete," the email notification system comes in handy for both of these occurrences. If your project's state is subject to examination, this is also a valuable instrument to demonstrate to executive leadership the development that has been accomplished in the endeavor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, you have to manually enter the percentages of completion for jobs, which isn't the easiest thing to predict. Therefore I think the % completion functionality may use some work. An alternative would be to provide a drop-down menu to select a percentage, such as 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.
There is also a discrepancy in the auto-save option; sometimes, my work is saved automatically, and other times it isn't, and alerts are only displayed after 10 minutes without saving.
Smartsheets is fantastic. However, it might be better in a few ways. Formulas and integrations are two examples of more complex capabilities that may be challenging for first-time users to grasp. They might help those who are just starting to hold it better. Also, the plans' prices could be too steep for others, especially those with smaller budgets or who need the most fundamental capabilities. They may be able to find cheaper alternatives.

Smartsheet helps us keep projects organized and makes it easier for our teams to work together. It helps us because it makes it easy to make goals, deadlines, and important points for our projects and keep track of them.
Best tools for Project and Resource Management
What do you like best about the product?
Useful in easy reports creation and Dashboards. You can create Forms for access reviews, User inputs, Feedback etc. You can collaborate within your organization with multiple sharing options. Can integrate smart sheet with other SAAS tools like Microsoft Teams. You can use formulas in grid to calculate values and make the same reference in other grids, which is quite intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing access to sheet is only limited to 100 people at once; there should be option to share sheet with as many users at once. Similar way, you cannot remove all collaborators from sheet at once, should be automated to remove all at once.

Able to create pivots on smartsheet reports. Which is helping to create real time dashboards.
Creating dashboards is easier now with multiple options in user friendly way. You can select dashboard background color which helps to visualize graphs easily.

Smartsheet - Excellent Tool to manage the projects
What do you like best about the product?
I started using Smartsheet a year ago. Since then, managing all of my projects has been a great help. Smartsheet makes task creation, management, and delegation very efficient. Smartsheet is an easy-to-use tool that takes the load off your head for ongoing projects. Smartsheet can prove to be a handy tool in project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, learning a new feature of smartsheet becomes a tedious job. Smartsheet can upload more tutorial videos for better learning and making it more user friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes project task creation and delegation very easy. I use it to assign tasks and send reminders without any manual interference. Task tracking has been made easy by Smartsheet.
