Easy and effective to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it is so easy to share with people and easy to understand. It is very similar to excel which enables a wide range of people to use it. Should there be any issues the team at smartsheet are on hand to help and are very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
My collegues and I did experience multiple issues when swapping from our free account to when we got livcences. They were different account that we had to create with the same email when we would of expected our first account to just be upgraded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currenly involved in a large scale project which involves a lot of document control and sharing. Smartsheet allows us to have this all in one place which all parties can access whereas before we had issues with different organisations not being able to open links due to security
Great web-based project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
It has a lot of function that is very good for project management without having to expend a lot of money for the specific software and the integration is fairly straight forward
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of editing setting that is hard to operate. It is suitable for web presentations, but final production is not very easy to change if you need to print a hard copy. Such as, the programme time frame can not be adjusted, so end up having to print countless pages of waste papers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and task management, monthly project reporting, cash flow and easy-to-share information to stakeholders.

Smartsheet is a powerful workhorse with a quick and intuitive learning curve.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease at which you can input data into multiple spreadsheets and then put them together to make reports and dashboards without any knowledge of the coding that is going on behind the scenes.
What do you dislike about the product?
With such a powerful program it is a little disappointing when simple stuff is missing. For instance, you cannot change the formatting of the entire background of a report or dashboard. You can only change formatting if you go out to the main Smarthseet it is pulling data from. On top of this, you can't change the look of certain title bars at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep track of our ISO 9001 requirements year to year. We have also started using it to supply data to a dashboard screen to keep track of in-process jobs.
Easy to use tool that can accomplish multiple business goals
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and intuitive. So it is easy to spin up a new sheet/form in just a few minutes. The logic built into the form is also very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality feels limited at times. Sometimes I want to do more complex things in the sheet that just aren't possible. And while the form features are easy to use - I can also find them limiting

Easy collaboration via single sign on. It is used to build out an integrated events calendar. I have used it multiple times for both internal and external data gathering as well

makes it easy to plan, capture, manage, and report on work from anywhere, helping teams to be more effective and get more done. Report and real-time visibility into work as it happens keeps the team connected and informed
Great for Automations and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a handy tool in keeping track of everyone's time and tasks. From a project management standpoint, it is handy to make sure that all members of the team are notified ahead of time.
It's also great that you can keep files and links within the cells, there are many ways to maximize these features.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has a lot of nifty features, but you need to have a lot of time to understand the features in your own time, or get certified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the ways that we use Smartsheets is to track all of our projects across all verticals in one place. It is a tool that can reference other sheets, and having a master tracker that links to smaller projects come in handy on a regular basis.
Efficient and reliable as repository file system
What do you like best about the product?
it alllows me to have a one and onle point in common with suppliers to ensure all docs needed for our commercial relationship are in the same place, dated and controlled
What do you dislike about the product?
The person that receives a notification when sending a row receives a quite complex notification, they don't pereceive it as an email and there is risk they think is either spam or just another uncomfortable notification and they try to avoid reaing the email as the subject is quite long/daunting

-Making sure I have a timestamp for when files where sent so no chance to argue

Using Smartsheets for IPD Construction Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Our team used Smarsheets to share information with all of the team members on our construction project. It allowed the Owner, architect, and trade partners to collaborate, share information, and track progress on one platform. We were able to set up a project dashboard that reported the progress of construction and financials to the Owner on one sheet that pulled data from other collections of data. The ability to have multiple team members working on the platform and updating information simultaneously is what was very useful to us. It was easy to share with team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is just different enough from Microsoft Excel that it took some getting used to. There was definitely a learning curve. Training materials were helpful, but took some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work on construction projects that have several team members and a lot of information that needs to be tracked. Sharing and updating this information in a timely manner is one of the issues Smartsheets helped us solve.

Easy to use API makes automating tasks for my team a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to coordinate with my team and automate repetitive tasks easily without the overhead of internal systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see built-in webhooks for simple Python scripts one day, but that may be a pipe dream.

Equipped with Slack integration and internal automation, Smartsheet allows us to compile all our tickets into easy-to-use and share schedules for our team.
Master your project tracking with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Smartsheet several years ago by my previous boss. Our team used it to keep track of projects and I was immediately impressed by the different features that are not availablen in Excel. After switching roles and joining a new team, I asked my new company to get Smartsheet licenses because that's how much I enjoyed using the software! The features I like the most are Dashboards and Reports. The ability to summarize sheets and compile information from different sheets has been crucial for my successful project tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside I've found to using Smartsheet is that my collaborators are unwilling to learn yet another software. There is a little bit of a learning curve in order to make the most of all of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped us a lot with collaboration and being able to manage tasks across a cross-functional team. We love being able to have checklists in Smartsheet that we can view as a Gantt chart.
