Versatile tool that fills gaps
What do you like best about the product?
Like many companies, we use many tools, and Smartsheet helps fill the gaps in the capability of our other internal tools. Some of our team members use it for project management using the board view; others use it for external communication on projects. It is flexible and versatile, and the ability to share it with users outside of the company with different permission levels is useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve with Smartsheet. There is so much functionality; it can be hard to unlock all the potential immediately. Still learning new tricks and functions after more than a year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
External communication on projects with customer stakeholders that our internal tools do not have the capability for. A project management tool that is robust.
Essential Tool for Efficient Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Real-time collaboration provides a centralized platform for teams to work together efficiently. Team members can easily share sheets, make comments, attach files, and assign tasks. The ability to mention colleagues and tag them in discussions adds an extra layer of clarity and accountability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve. Educating many people, such as divisions and other subsidiaries, is difficult. While the learning curve is manageable, it may require time and effort to become proficient and maximize the tool's potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves unorganized workflows and tasks among teams. Smartsheet helps streamline workflows and where teams can track tasks and deadlines. It eliminates any unnecessary meetings and enables more work productivity.
Smartsheet is great for project management!
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet mostly for project management. Before Smartsheet, we used a clunky homemade SharePoint site format that was very difficult to navigate. Smartsheet has a great layout and we're able to pull data up into reports and dashboards to quickly and easily show stakeholders where a project is at in it's lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had a lot of issues connecting Jira to Smartsheet and then on to Resource Management. This has gotten better over time, but it was a very difficult setup to get right. Mostly because all three systems see time differently, so we had to put some pretty complex calculations in place to make it work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smatsheet is helping us manage projects better and report on the progress of projects (RAID log, status, overdue tasks, etc.)
Is a very useful, intuitive and practical tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it allows you to adjust the sections voices as you prefer depending on the client and project-related needs, and it also allows people who are added later to have access to all communication and documentation. Automations related to message notifications and daily activity summaries are also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't tell what are disadvantages, I'm very satisfied with this tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem it solves is all the communications scattered in different places and not reaching the right people. Thanks to Smartsheet, all communications and documentation are in one place that acts as a repository, and even people who join a project later have access to everything. Also being able to tag the person you want to communicate with allows to always specifically reach the right people.
SmartSheet is the way to go if you want to save time and have a nice user-friendly interface
What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly interface and the facility to generate automations whitout requiring technical or coding knowledge.

What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe some fine-tuning options on certain aspects are missing.
I'm missing an option to come back to previous data/versions easily in "real-time" more like Excel online/SharePoint does.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows to greatly reduce the time required to do "Administrative tasks" such as sending manual emails to stakehodlers asking for updates or reminders (Notifications & Update Request features).
Also it is great to configure and share Dashboards with multiple data sources for people to be up to date without necessity to manually update them.

Work more efficiently with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a big fan of Smartsheet's comprehensive organisational capabilities. Not only does it allow me to easily monitor various projects, but it also streamlines collaboration and communication between team members with features like automated notifications that remind us when tasks are due or other changes have been made. Other customisation options allow me to create the ideal view for monitoring content or quickly brainstorming ideas. All in all, these incredible features make Smartsheet my go-to project management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Smartsheet's interface is unintuitive and inflexible, making it difficult to navigate. The search function often returns irrelevant information, making it unnecessarily difficult to find specific documents or data. It also lacks integration with other desktop applications - something I think should be standard for any cloud-based software of its size and stature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to plan my engineering projects, whether they're major renovations or simple repairs. It helps me communicate the project schedule clearly and keeps everyone on board so that our goals are met efficiently - a bonus I appreciate as an engineer.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet's intuitive design incredibly useful. The mobile app makes it easy for anyone to access projects from anywhere without having to buy additional licences or create new user accounts, making remote working and collaboration quick and painless. In addition, the ability to quickly generate powerful reports that visualise data across all my project sheets is a great way to analyse changes over time. Finally, I love how easy it is to navigate through Smartsheet's tools; so much so that no matter what task I'm given in this platform, it's all done efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that when multiple users are working on a document simultaneously in Smartsheet, saving can be confusing compared to what you're used to in Google. However, after further instruction, we were able to get the job done. Also, many people would prefer to have just one sheet with tabs instead of having to create a whole workspace/folder each time they need multiple sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet, my team and I benefit from streamlined project planning that helps us allocate resources more efficiently. We can easily track the progress of each work stream, so we know what needs more attention, while also being aware of minor changes or adjustments along the way.
Easy to use yet powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I am a big fan of Smartsheet because of its incredible collaboration capabilities. Multiple users can update, sort and view data simultaneously without having to use complicated programs like Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint, and we can use powerful features like switching between grid, tile and calendar formats at the touch of a button. My team has had great success in creating stunning presentations that are easy to understand because of Smartsheet's intuitive interface, which has made other departments interested in using it - saving time and increasing overall efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the difficulty of using Smartsheet compared to Excel and the lack of user-friendly features, such as the inability to transfer multiple pages at once. This makes it inefficient and difficult for users to work with. To improve this platform, offering users the option to save partially constructed columns would go a long way towards making it more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I benefit from Smartsheet because I'm able to manage multiple teams and projects with ease, quickly provide up-to-date reports to senior management, and track key metrics in real time using executive dashboards.
Enable the Team to monitor project development
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share with the Team, filters and file linking are very useful tools to always have a clear picture of how projects are going. There are several functions and possibilities to set up efficient dashboards which allow for a great potential in the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being more of an Excel user, working with a single tab per file requires some getting used to and different planning when structuring the work sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows Project Managers to follow the development in great detail, setting up tasks and reminders. At the same time, it enables management to get a high level picture of our pipeline and the different stages projects are in, including timelines and budgeting.
Maximise your productivity with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Smartsheet provides great accessibility for all users, as well as incredible usability and functionality. The timeline view of the Gantt charts is an incredibly useful tool for monitoring projects and managing my own time more efficiently. With the ability to set deadlines, get reminders when work needs to be completed soon, or adjust column widths depending on how much detail I need - it just makes life so easy! This is why we think Smartsheet really stands out from other task management systems available today; its functionality is truly second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Smartsheet fails to connect to Salesforce Gainsight, forcing customers to manually double up on tracking their tasks. This inefficiency is particularly frustrating for Customer Success Managers (CSMs), who are forced to spend extra time juggling between two systems when they should be able to collaborate much more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet has dramatically improved my team's performance. It allows us to stay organised and connected by providing a single, cloud-based source for all our data. This makes communication easier and ensures that everyone is looking at the same information at all times.
