Customizable and Tailor-Made Software to fit your specific Needs!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has changed my career and given me a tool where I can basically create my own software that fits my exact needs of my job. I use it every single day! As a project manager, I looked into many software options right off the shelf but almost all of them left something to be desired that didn't work for me. Smartsheet revolutionized how I manage projects, and was very easy to learn to use and set up. Even the complex macros and features I found to be straightforward, and I'm not super techy at computers. You don't have to write code or be computer genius to be able to create something really special with Smartsheet. I can't recommend it enough!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are options or cool things I would like to try out and design that might not be available yet on the software, however they are constantly adding new features based on comments from users. So I appreciate that they are listening and adding these as they can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a workspace where I can have multiple sheets that communicate with each other and team members to move my projects forward and streamline information

What do you like best about the product?
I love that forms, sheets, and workflows can have automated processes, reports, and dashboards can combine data from multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't always have an easy way to create summaries & cell formulas, requires some skill and trial and error, and can't create pivot tables with multiple columns and rows. Also, the upgrade took away the ability to round decimals in percentages. Inability to import Excel spreadsheets from external sources and only have non-duplicate cells updated.
Do not like the fact that the university cost is going to increase and include a full license for users who only update/edit cells.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gives the ability to edit, track, and share info. Love that form can be sent to end user, discreet data entered, and populates spreadsheets to make data "maneuverable".
Smartsheets is an excel based software with useful tolls.

Smartsheet is a very user friendly software. It allows you to better organize and manager large projects with information to the team.

It is not Excel. It takes sometime to get used to the differences from Excel, Google.docs, etc.

It allows for an easy communication platform across the organization.
Revolutionised project management
What do you like best about the product?
Live reporting aspects - previously using dated softwares e.g. MS Project - unable to see live project status across multiple projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
User roles between Smartsheet and Resource Management are difficult to understand. Terminology like member, user, editor, admin, project editor, managed and unmanaged resource. Alignment for these user roles and simplification could help smaller business customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross functional visibility and alignment - before adopting smartsheet our business implemented project management to varying extents and levels of success. Now the PPM processes are standardised and being adopted by all personnel.

Solid Project Tracking Application
What do you like best about the product?
The app itself is fairly intuitive. This is extremely helpful for those who are not accustomed to creating/tracking projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was better resource tracking within the app. Additionally, it would be nice if the Jira plug-in worked more efficiently. While I don't use the plug in myself, my colleagues feel like it doesn't always work as indicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet improves visibility among teams and work streams.

I work in the design industry and smartsheet is great for managing document control within our company and for external clients too.

Maybe the ability to have an app so we can use on tablets easier etc

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to switch between sheets with ease.
The app format is good to be able to centralise where your sheets are.
I am able to use the sheet every day and never have instances where the site is down.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a huge fan of having to log in every day or refresh every day when coming into work. There have been instances where I have inputed data and it has cleared because I didn't refresh my page when I first came in for the day.

Smartsheet is very intuitive, easy to navigate and build for the less experienced Excel user.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how we can share sheets, reports, forms, and dashboards with non-licensed users. I also appreciate the learning community to grow with Smartsheet's development. The learning opportunities help raise the level of content's flow and ability to navigate the information.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the formulas can be difficult to build such as percentages from select columns/rows. However, i believe if I was able to invest the time I'm sure I could find the answers or learn from Smartsheet's resources.

Collaboration is seamless - we can comment, share files, and track progress in real time. The dashboards are a game-changer for visibility, helping us keep stakeholders informed with live data. It’s become an essential part of our everyday workflow. Consultations with the support team have helped us utilize the features available to the greatest extent possible.

Smartsheet integration can be challenging due to limited native connectors and the need for custom API workarounds. Additionally, its interface complexity can create a steep learning curve for team members unfamiliar with technical tools.

Friendly alternative to traditional spreadsheets
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Smartsheet makes staying organized easier than with traditional spreadsheets. The interface is colorful, user-friendly, and fun to use, which made learning it enjoyable even with a bit of a learning curve. The templates are especially helpful for getting started, and I like that it’s more visually appealing and somewhat more straightforward than Excel. After taking the time to learn it and set up my preferred workflow, I felt like it really helped me manage tasks and deadlines more clearly than traditional spreadsheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part for me has been getting other people on board to use Smartsheet, especially with outside collaborators. It’s sometimes unclear what type of account guests need to contribute or use the sheets effectively. Additionally, some features took a while to figure out, as there is a bit of a learning curve, but I was excited about the potential of the tool so didn’t mind taking the time to figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially, I was trying to come up with a way to track team tasks and deadlines in a collaborative way, which was challenging to figure out a good way to set up using traditional spreadsheets. We wanted an easy to navigate system, especially for the lower tech people on my team who found traditional spreadsheets sometimes a bit harder to use in more advanced ways. I used Smartsheet to create shared task sheets with due dates and automated reminders, so anyone could log in at any time to contribute and see progress in one place. The user-friendly, visually appealing interface makes it easier for the team to stay organized and even makes managing tasks more engaging.
