Overall very positive but using both Smartsheet and Smartsheet Resourcing together needs work
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to plan projects in a flexible way and pulling from templates to help speed that process up. We also use Resourcing with is a fantastic tool for our team in allocating work tasks to individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the most how Smartsheet and Resourcing work or rather do not work together, for me it is very obvious that the two systems are very separate and do not particularly talk to each other all that well. I have found the support in the this area to be non-existant once the licenses where purchased the after care disappeared which is extremely disappointing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us as a team become more efficient in our processes and more transparent about workloads and the distribution of tasks across the team. It also helps us highlight just how long things take to produce, quite often account managers do not understand this so Smartsheet helps show this and gain agreement on timings.
Easy to use and helpful with many moving parts.
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature about Smartsheet is the collaboration. Teams can easily collaborate on projects and see how far along each person is. This makes it easy to be on top of workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one part about Smartsheet that isnt the best when first using is the interface isnt very user friendly to begginers and can be a little confusing to pick up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the company I work there used to be problems with which staff were assigned projects and when they needed to complete it by. With smartsheet we are clearly able to see in one place where each project is up to and what projects are upcoming. In turn this can and has sped up workflow.
A user-friendly MS Project...and More!
What do you like best about the product?
It's so user friendly. The interface is clearer and all the options and buttons look simplier. It also seems to cope better with updates and changes to your project plan - it seems to be more versatile than (my experience with) MS Project, for example.
It's also a great colaborative tool, being online, and having the option to have free accounts, you can include all of your team, everyone can work on the same project timelines and they can all link together seamlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have all the features of a program like MS Project - but it also has additional functionality that Project doesn't have, like different types of sheets that can link into each other.
It is annoying how it closes down features for those in your team who don't have a paid license - but it's still cheaper than Project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing us to easily move to easy-access collaborative working, allowing us to quickly and easily make project timelines (large and small scale) and then share and collaborate on these throughout the business. The linking features are also great, and because it's hosted as an internet service, there's no issue in the linking about where the sheets are saved etc.
Easy to Use and great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and collaborate online with users. Easy to create a smartsheet but the forms and the automation is the simple bit which makes it so much more efficient. for example being able to trigger other boxes being completed which arent even seen by the form submitter. makes it slick and easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to share a main sheet with people you only want to see the report for. means that hidden or confidential parts from the main sheet are able to be seen by report users. graphs on dashboards i struggle to get my head around so would be good if they improved this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives a unique position of a tool able to be quickly edited, built upon etc without a professional or 3rd party. yet on the same hand has the structure which helps support users but also restricts users from being able to work completely unstructured.

1) Cost-effective: Because Smartsheet is a cloud-based application, there is no need to install any hardware or software before using it. There are no up-front charges or continuing maintenance costs, making it a cost-effective option for companies of all sizes.
2) Enhanced Working together colleagues may cooperate more successfully and effectively using Smartsheet's real-time updates and notifications. It is simpler to keep track of a task's specifics and deadlines when users can comment, give tasks, and monitor progress all inside the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve: The number of functionality and customizability choices available in Smartsheet might make it difficult for novice users to get started. Despite the platform's comprehensive documentation and training materials, getting started might be challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet data has help me to keep a database of my customer information and is readily available to upload to various other software that requires me to key in manually. This has has help me prevent any time wasting knowing my data is stored in the cloud.
Great Tool for Collaboration and Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I personally use smartsheets to log and track international shipments.
We have it set up to remind staff when new products are coming in, the API feeds into our ERP to update expected arrivals and the suppliers are able to update Ex-Factory dates via a fortnightly form.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is not nearly as powerful as excel, and requires some creative solutions for some work. But for the most part if you use its strengths rather than worrying about what it is missing it is a very helpful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automates a lot of the follow up emails, reminders, and recording of information that I would otherwise have to track manually myself. So it is ultimately saving a lot of time and streamlining processes.
Streamline project management and increase productivity
What do you like best about the product?
I like the versatility of SmartSheets and its ability to be customized for different organizations. Its integrations with popular applications also facilitate effective collaboration between teams, increasing overall productivity! The reporting capabilities are also great; it's incredibly useful for measuring progress or quickly tracking changes. In addition, because SmartSheets is easy to use, but allows for complex processes to be created if needed, I appreciate that I can customize my project management solutions to fit my organization's needs and use them effectively regardless of my level of experience with project management software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am very disappointed in the absence of time-based availability calendars within Smartsheet. Integrating an application such as Float into the system would allow for automated assignment of people to roles and provide teams with instant access to useful information about current resources - an invaluable asset when planning project timelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was often overwhelmed by the stress of trying to keep track of my schedule and remember important tasks. SmartSheet has helped alleviate this pressure by providing me with a reminder feature that keeps me on top of ongoing tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
The best think about smartsheet for me is the way the GANT charts are. I find them very useful as it keeps my work on track whilst simultaneously letting my colleagues know where im at also.

The user Interface i find that it is sometimes hard to navigate especially when i first began using it but over time i have gotten used to it so i would recommend giving it enough chance

It is helping me with the organisation of projects and what i can help with my team and where they are at throughout the project therefore making the project be more efficient.
A Very helpful tool which makes work more efficient
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and helpful layout to assist with workflow. By providing an easy and quick way to have multiple people in a team contribute to the system it makes keeping up to date a better and smoother experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to navigate with a remote desktop or similar tools. Gantt chart timelines are sometimes hard to look at with the amount of information on stange and would be helpful to be able to manipulate the view more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it easier to document progress and collaborate on work projects. It increases the likelihood of people updating the smartsheet as opposed to old systems and makes it not feel like a hard admin task.
Smartsheet is a really clever way to plan ahead and to track work on multiple projects.

I like that I can track a project and freely extend or shorten any timespans that will push back or bring forward other items.

I don't like the volume of emails I get about reminders for tasks.

It helps me have defined start and end dates to work to and I can set those up however I please. It has given me the ability to work with others so I know what they've done and when they're likely to finish.
