Dashboarding and Reporting - Oh wow... Navigation, oh-no
What do you like best about the product?
We at Platform golf have had a great run and used some awesome dashboard features to report at many different levels of our org. User friendly, clean and easy to implement
What do you dislike about the product?
The users in the org have had a pretty significant challenge picking up the navigation of smartsheets. If it was more like desktop nav, that'd be great.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting - automated reporting based off pm plans. Simple stuff but its stuff we needed the best solution for.
Smartsheet for management of life science R+D
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheet daily for about 6 years to manage various aspects of a large life science R+D group, including a light CRM application, reagent core requests, purchasing requests, and timeline/resource management. Smartsheet is great at putting everything in the same place and it is very easy to use basic functions which get projects moving. The automation functions are strong as well, and very easy to implement at a basic level for reminders, timed followups, and moving forward in processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not a lot of drawbacks, but a major one is an inability to produce an attractive Gantt chart. It should not be difficult to make a presentable figure in a program which can already do so much. Support has been only OK - I get reachouts regularly and people sou d helpful but the ones reaching out are not able to handle more than basic problems, and getting deeper support requires scheduling meetings with additional support folks, who are often pretty busy. I have not attempted to integrate Smartsheet with other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps to keep my team and I organized on project timing and resourcing, as well as managing purchasing and internal request workflows.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, great project management tool, easy to share workspaces, clean feel and look. I use it almost everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the additional features are hard to figure out. An example would be notifying my email when I get submissions.

Streamlining all answers from franchisees for our marketing team.
A simple, cheaper alternative to MS Project/P6
What do you like best about the product?
It’s very simple, intuitive and user friendly, I am mostly using it as a planning tool and it’s been incredibly easy to hit the ground running with it

The “workspace” and overall views can sometimes be confusing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As previously mentioned, I use it for planning and producing GANTT charts and programmes very easily and I even baselined and used it to track a whole project to completion, worked very well, it has many other options but that’s how I am using it

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes project management and workflow tracking effortless and automation features such as reminders, alerts and form-based task submissions save a lot of time. Smartsheet is flexible enough to handle everything from from asset tracking to content calendars.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some more advancements can be made. There's nothing much that I like least about Smartsheet.

Smartsheet is a solid and exceptional tool for project management and workflow tracking. It is easy to use, has numerous features and excellent customer support. I like the fact that it allows collaboration and it rarely disappoints.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how interactive Smartsheet is when you want to keep team members engaged and on track with their tasks as it sends comments and reminders.
The vast array of Dashboards makes it very easy when ready to present progress.
In addition Smartsheet University is a good resource tool in studying the capabilities available.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one area that could use improving is the "Baselines" Functionality. It would be great if it would adjust when more line items are added to the schedule as those are left without a baseline and if you start over then you lose all the original baselines

Easy for beginners!
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to follow for beginners and to set up forms, which is my primary use. Publishing/sharing the links is very easy and my staff have a very easy time completing the form and submitting it back to me. It also very nice to have everything in one easy to find and access and view location instead of having to look all over the place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like on demand training sessions for the different aspects of Smartsheet. I'm sure there is a lot more that I could be doing with the software, but am unsure where to even start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I coordinate the events at my office, so I use Smartsheet to have people sign up and send pertinent information needed for specific events. It keeps everything in one location, organized by the event so it's easy to have multiple signups going at the same time and keep everything straight. It also stores past forms so I can easily duplicate for the next year/event as needed.
Streamlined Project Planning and Execution
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Smartsheet enables improved planning and execution of projects by allowing detailed tracking through creating fields like status, date, in progress, backlog, and user assignee. I find creating workspaces and project spaces particularly intuitive. Overall, Smartsheet works well for my team in organizing and executing project timelines.
