Smartsheets- a very useful collaboration and automation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is a wonderful data collection and collaboration tool that is scalable for small teams or large organizations. The automation abilities are my favorite feature about the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be a challenge for those who are more familiar with Excel or other similar looking platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to automate processes that require input from many people that my team is in charge of driving. Being able to add in reminders for action eliminates the manual need for my team to follow up for participation on tasks.
We have also been able to improve some processes that include tasks which are different but related and have them all integrated in some way shape or form thoroughbred different Smartsheets. For example: we have digitized an interview guide into a form. Once that is filled out, it transfers relevant data to another Smartsheet form to build a new hire roster. That roster has automations built in to notify respective team members of actions they need to take, and also reminders to ensure timely completion.

What do you like best about the product?
I found Smartsheet very easy to first pick up. I was previously unfamiliar with the platform; however, the learning curve was quick. I enjoyed the number of features all within one place, so I didn't need to bounce around documents to support my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes found that the number of features muddled things at times. I also didn't enjoy the fact I couldn't link cells within the same sheet. I might consider integrating that within the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps my team effectively see what tasks are open and the work that needs to get done. I like it as it gives my team a broad overview of where we've been, where we are, and where we're going. I enjoy the structure it gives me for team meetings, as team members are familiar with simply sunning through the schedule and addressing any concerns as they arise.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet for about seven years. What I like most is the ability to create solutions for so many diverse types of projects and operational activities. The platform is easy and intuitive for teams to use, flexible enough to allow rapid design and implementation of solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new lUSM licensing model has been confusing and has required some solutions to be redesigned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My role has mostly been to develop solutions for other teams. I've been able to build solutions that solve multiple problems including management of global projects, risk management, corporate affairs communication management, financial / budget management

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, dept access, focused on project management and workflow.

An excellent collaboration tool with robust integration capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet to collaborate across our medium-sized organisation. Our team has set up several sheets and then generated reports or Dynamic Views to work efficiently with various stakeholders, both internal and external. Dynamic View is a great feature that allows us to share data or documents from different teams with external suppliers, while ensuring sensitive information remains protected.
Integration—especially using Data Shuttle to import data from external apps—is key for us, as it enables Smartsheet to act as the single source of truth for our projects.
Setting up reports and dashboards is relatively straightforward.
When support was needed, the Smartsheet team was easy to reach and very helpful via Zoom.

What do you dislike about the product?
I’d really like to see further development of Dynamic View, particularly in relation to comments and attachments. A feature we would find especially useful is the ability to add comments within reports or Dynamic Views without those comments being automatically copied to the main project sheet. We often work with suppliers who cannot be granted access to the underlying sheet, so more flexibility in this area would be a major improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use Smartsheet for Project Management, Project Collaboration, and Workflow Management. Smartsheet helps us collaborate seamlessly across teams and with external partners (in our case production suppliers), whilst keeping sensitive data secure. With Data Shuttle, we integrate external data easily and use Smartsheet as our single source of truth. Dynamic View is powerful, though we’d love more flexibility, especially when it comes to comments and attachments.
One feature that I really like is the AI generated formulas, this has saved me so much time over the last months whilst creating new project sheets.

I like the fact that it is a user-friendly and versatile platform that makes managing work and projects seamless. I particularly value its ease of use, the abundance of learning materials and certifications, and the premium apps, which unlock powerful features for building tailored, high-impact solutions. It’s a great tool for teams looking to scale efficiently.

At times, the system can experience instability or technical issues, which can interrupt workflows. Additionally, the pricing can be a barrier for smaller companies, making it harder to justify the investment despite the platform’s value.

Smartsheet solves key challenges around project visibility, process automation, and team collaboration. Its rich set of features and premium apps allows me to offer clients powerful, customized solutions that meet complex business needs. The strong collaboration capabilities also ensure smoother communication and faster decision-making across teams.

What do you like best about the product?
Task tracking and optimizing workflows. An intuitive user interface and excellent customer service. We use it on the daily to track our tasks and ensure we remain on schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a hard time implementing Smartsheet for our whole team. Many staff feel it difficult to integrate into their existing workflows and are resistant to changing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the fast-paced world of AEC marketing Smartsheet is an ally that can keep me on task and focused on what needs to be done day to day. I can rely on it for over arching schedules and tracking and ensuring that my team remains on schedule and on task. It is a powerful tool that helps us be more productive and keep our workflows dialed.
End-User Experience for Administration
What do you like best about the product?
The ease to build and connect dashboards with reports is the biggest pro. It is intuitive, which takes less time, which in turn increases efficiency. Additionally, the attachment section proves useful from a project management perspective. It is nice to have smartsheets as a "connection point" between other databases, which centralizes project management.
I like that integrations are plug-ins, since that keeps the format of the application un-cluttered.
I like that i can frequently share my work with others (regardless if they're a Mac or Windows user).

What do you dislike about the product?
Minimizing/Magnifying the screen is a bit difficult on the desktop version. Sometimes there are issues with saving my work (it'll freeze for a couple beats before randomly saving or not). There isn't an easily accessible "Need Help" section - it always throws me to another site which isn't super effective, especially when I'm on a tight deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great temporary or interim reporting tool. This is helpful because it is difficult to find a platform that is 1) compatible with all computers; 2) is effective and intuitive when under a strict deadline; and 3) be connected to existing applications (ex: salesforce, outlook, box).
