What do you like best about the product?
Look and feel of Microsoft spreadsheet, automation workflows and advanced formulas, view cell history, status update requests, row reports, and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
New subscription pricing model. It used to be a HUGE selling point that SmartSheet allowed for "Free Users/Collaborators" that could edit contents of shared sheets without a paid license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow automation.
Strong Feature Set, Clunky UX
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet offers a robust feature set across project management, task tracking, and collaboration tools, making it a versatile solution for us. The integration and reporting capabilities are particularly beneficial- beyond what our other tools provide. We have a small but loud supporting group who uses this tool daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks is that Smartsheet can be more complex compared to simpler tools like Google Sheets, which can limit its mass adoption across the organization (there is often a groan when we have an action log on SmartSheets v Google). For us, it is better suited for smaller, more focused use cases rather than large-scale projects. Additionally, some of the advanced features have a learning curve, which can be a barrier for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use smartsheets mainly to track complex projects plans, recurring meeting actions, and company-wide OKR tracking. This benefits us by improving accountability and planning.
Automation is not automatic

The ability to create forms for entering data

Filtering for specific data can be cumbersome and automation fails sometimes

Easy to share the workspace among team members. Using forms simplifies data entry among the team members who will use them.
We have taken subscription for smartsheet but we are still at very nascent stage of learning it.

I think the best thing about smartsheet that it is real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe what I dislike about smartsheet is lack of training specially for new user. I know there are training videos but as a starter there should be introduction, how to use basic things in smartsheet and how does work.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What we intend to solve with smartsheet is real time reporting of our project, we are M&A integration team but due to lack of deals this year, we did not get a chance to use smartsheet in the best way we can.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organisation uses Smartsheet as their project management tool .We are now able to have consistent project management processes across teams which means its easier to find project related documentation and provide a conslidated overview of all active projects for senior management.
Given Smartsheet has functionality to create forms and workflows, we have extended our initial use case for project management, to data maintenance (or maintenance of master spreadsheets). In particular, workflows can automate a lot of the manual processes we have in the organisation, as well as provide audit trails for approval and sign-off etc.

It's easy to work.
What do you like best about the product?
Many users can work at the same time in a single sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multi filter options are not available at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need to extract data from our systema and update tracker on daily basis, it's updating automatically.
Great tool for collaborative organization
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to work collaboratively with team members and have visibility of timelines etc. It is also very handy for collecting data through forms. Good customer support as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet doesn't automatically save changes - even when I click the option. Also somethings are very counterintuitive and not as user friendly.

Helpful Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to house multiple different types of data for a project in one place. Underlying sheets, reports and dashboards and displaying different information and metrics. It's a great tool for collaborating and working with a team.

-No autosave
-Difficult when running multiple projects at a time not being able to make bulk changes without expensive control center
