Oddly high learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is the familiarity of spreadsheets. It's very clear what the main driver of the project management is, and for that, I am happy with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike least about Smartsheet is the oddly high learning curve. I don't find anything particularly intuitive, nor do I find help resources that helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet primarily to track repeatable projects. It benefits me because I can duplicate a project template and be set to start work immediately.

I like the ease of access, ability to share with teams, and capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find the platform user-friendly. I prefer to use Excel instead for my needs.

It solves collaboration
Viable solution, but theres a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration features are great for team work and managing workloads. There are loads of fatures and options to work with many different types of teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve that, while managable, I found frutstrating to navigate while trying to create a relatively simple sheet for sales team collaboration. It's something that I think SmartSheet's CS team would have been able to help me navigate with ease (they seem great) but was a small enough use case that I didn't feel it should warrant needing to reach out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet as a collaboration tool between sales reps and sales development/marketing to ensure that teams are aligned on the work that we are executing. It gives us a single place, that limits version issues, to work together.
Robust and convenient tool for project & workflow management
What do you like best about the product?
Robust and very convenient tool for project & workflow management. I love how it makes everything seamless and reduce manual efforts. It's grid view is super awesome to analyze the complete progress on a single page and allow us to share or edit with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation feature setup is little bit tricky and not easy for beginners, required documentation to understand the workflow. Overall it's great to use and it's calendar and templates are very usefull.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet made us more efficient and flexible for project management. We invest our time to learn it but now we can't work without it. I recommend to all organization to implement it and see the difference in productivty.
Smart sheet is great, con: only prints 100 images in doc
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is super helpful for organizing project information. I like that you can filter out items with in the documents and share the info with your co workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has been frustrating to only be able to print the first 100 images in a document. This has made work more difficult in getting large documents out to clients.

Intuitive, multiple functions in one place, good for tracking- nice shift from excel regarding project management and form consolidation

What do you like best about the product?
Interactive, intuitive and flexible software. Was great for use for grant and permit applications, review by larger team for comment and feedback and ease of processing tasks as a result.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrade subscription gave us less flexibility in using it to review grant applications, which makes it less usable then we had thought it would be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi people need eyes on the project, provide updates and feedback, track progress, etc. Allows everyone to be able to assess where things are at, answer questions and see whats outstanding so things can be moved forward.
Useful collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fosters strong collaboration and coordination across the team, as well as provides easy implementation and intergration for new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Items stored in Smartsheets are separated from the rest of our environment, creating some difficulty in locating items and reduces the frequency of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets resolves issues of poor visibility and collaboration across the team. This helps us to manage and work effectively together.
Great service, but experience technical issues often
What do you like best about the product?
I like that my entire team can get access to all projects we are working on. It is very user friendly and is great for the massive amount of things my team is working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are it feels like Smartsheet is down for hours every other week. I don't do a ton of work in Smartshet, but I notice when it is down it is like wildfire throughout our department.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having conversations in one convienent place. It is easy to access all the information and cross-department communications in one sheet saving time and many emails back and forth.
Easy to use but hard to get others to adopt.

The ability to share across the company and with outsiders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to manipulate the sheets with keyboard shortcuts.

Sharing real time updates on projects across the company and to consultants.
