Good enough
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a solid tool that we use for project management in our company. I work with it on a daily basis and appreciate its simplicity and ease of use. While it may not have all the advanced features of some other platforms, it does a great job covering the essentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
We’ve faced some challenges with its add-ons. We use Resource Manager, but in our experience, it still feels underdeveloped and would benefit from additional polish to be truly solid.
We’ve also tried the Jira Connector and Data Shuttle in the past, but both lacked the flexibility our team needed to integrate them into our workflows.
Additionally, it's disappointing that EU users don’t have access to the same range of templates available to users in the US. This limitation feels unnecessarily restrictive and unfair.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us manage multiple new product development projects across our company. It allows us to address resource allocation challenges, stay organized, and keep track of timelines and deliverables. The platform also makes it easy to provide clear, up-to-date data to stakeholders, which improves transparency and decision-making.
Smartsheet is a powerful work management and collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to keep everything organized in one place. The automation and reminders save me a ton of time, and it’s super helpful for keeping my team on track without a million emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features can be a little tricky to figure out at first, especially the more advanced stuff like automations and formulas. It’s powerful, but there’s definitely a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me keep track of projects, deadlines, and team tasks all in one place. Before, things would slip through the cracks or get lost in email threads—now it’s way easier to stay organized and make sure everyone’s on the same page.

I like the forms option to be able to track different things across the organization. I also like the ability for conditional formatting of rows to help visually know where things stand.

Some things are more difficult to navigate.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to easily collaborate with my colleagues and connect data easily to PowerBi for reporting. The forms have been a game changer for some of the processes that I've been struggling to automate for years!

The limitation of the number of lines you can have in one smartsheet

Team moved from word tables to Smartsheet to elevate our work
What do you like best about the product?
My team decided to start using Smartsheets to track our collective work. Previously, we were using tables in Word. Moving to Smartsheets has made a tremendous difference in how we are able to track our requests, share resources, and collect information. There's no need to update and re-save a word doc - we can all log on to the same sheet and save it there. I personally use Smartsheets on a daily basis, usually to make sure all requests are being addressed.
Smartsheet is easy to use. Once we had decided what information we wanted on our sheets, set-up was straight forward, with the help of some tutorials. It also was easy for the rest of the team to integrate into their work as well. Each person on our team utilizes this product and agrees that it is helpful to our work.
I also liked that when I first signed up, I was able to schedule a one-on-one call with a representative. I know you can look stuff up online but I prefer speaking to someone about what I'm looking for. He was very helpful and pointed me towards the trainings that I should start with.

This is probably an individual issue. Though creating sheets was super easy for me, moving on to the next step of reports and dashboards was a bit challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has taken our team from updating word docs to collaborating online. We use it to track requests, collect information, and share resources. We even use it for event registration. It benefits me personally because I was the one updating all the word docs! Now members of the team can go in and update the sheets themselves.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease if sharing / visibility on projecta throughout an organization. It brings data out of buried file folders and through dashboards enables visibilty needed to break down silos between departments and enable collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
Sheet limits on number of formulas and cell references are extremely low. Forces use of Excel for certain tasks, which is counterproductive to Smartsheets goals. Additionally, Excel is still far superior for creating charts and reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, shipping calendar, installation calendar, form submittals and approvals, automated emails, change order tracking, dashboards for running departments and meetings.
Good Overall
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is the API that is has to merge data into spreadsheets that I receive from customers. Also the commenting on each rows is very helpful for communication with my team. It is also easy to use for every day tickets and tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about Smartsheet is the Find tool. It doesn't have a number for how many times a thing you're searching for appears in the sheet. It can get confusing when you search through them but you don't know how many times you've looked at the same thing or how many things with the same name are in the sheet. It can also get confusing when scrolling left to right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me solve workplace collaborations and management of tasks that need to be done and are completed by other team members.

The saving function, wish it saved more frequently

I can input my dates and work backwards or forwards for predicting timelines, I can input company holidays, manipulate predecessors

What do you like best about the product?
If you are familiar with the spreadsheets, you should be able to pick up the tools. Good reporting tools, allows automation of workflows. It is cloud based so it was easy to get started. Collaboration tools seem sufficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems to have a bit of a learning curve if you don't use spreadsheets. Customer Service could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow collaboration to keep project resources up to date and ontrack.
Smartsheet was a helpful tool that I used to create a custom spreadsheet CRM module.

The ability to share my spreadsheets with a team.

Lack of features. I would have loved to see more options for status in columns

It hasn't solved any problems other than the ability to share my spreadsheets.
