What do you like best about the product?
Like the ease of using Smartsheet, able to add additional editors and contributors, and able to set updates when a due date is approaching
What do you dislike about the product?
DO NOT like the updated feature on moving sheets into albums. I had multiple albums set up and I could move new sheets into those albums, but you have changed that feature and no longer allow that. It makes for a very messy and cluttered main page. I wish you would bring that feature back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to keep track of all employees shared sheets in one location, but don't like that you can no longer move them into a folder

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet on a daily basis for different purposes like project management, initiatives tracking and data collection. I really like the work flow / automation capabilities that reduce dramatically the manual effort. I integrated it as data source for PowerBI reports, even if it has already the capability to create dashboards with basic visuals. It could seems a bit difficult to use at the beginning but in reality it is very simple to adopt / implement on the daily activities. For this reason I really appreciated the learning center that I suggest for all new users that wants to have a easy start with the tool.
I never had the opportunity to test the customer support, but also this can be evaluated a good point for Smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the limit I faced using Smartsheet is the amount of cells link you can have for a sheet. Also, sometimes it requires some minutes to see the updated values while you are working together with your team in the same file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me on project portfolio management having one dedicated place where all the regional teams can work. The work flow helps me on sending out reminders, highlighting the past due actions and keeping all the activities clean.
Also I heavily use it for data collection and then as data source for Power BI reports.

What do you like best about the product?
- User-friendly interface. Clean and simple, easy to navigate through the functions.
- Supporting formula in cells, making the sheet more flexible and customizable

What do you dislike about the product?
- Calendar setting different from MS Project, e.g. when a project is transferred from MS Project to Smartsheet, there is often timeline discrepancies caused by different calculation of the two software.
- Formula is not supported in conditional formatting
- Difficult for two projects with different project setting to communicate, e.g. when two projects with different work day settings, crosslinking the timeline from one project to the other will cause incorrected timeline.

Smartsheet simplifies the project management process, providing a simple yet robust solution for portfolio management, team collaboration and communication. It makes portfolio management more efficient, the report function enables data consolidation from multiple projects, the automated workflow helps streamline the business process, dashboards and Gantt views assist leadership and governance boards make informed decisions quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been a helpful tool for organizing and tracking multiple projects across teams. I really appreciate the workspaces, which provide a structured way to manage different initiatives. It’s especially useful for tracking tasks, managing timelines, and generating reports to share progress with stakeholders. The ability to add multiple users with different access levels makes collaboration easy while keeping sensitive data secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Report generation is clunky and overly complex—you often have to build a sheet, then a report, just to add that information to a dashboard. This extra layering feels inefficient. Dashboard customization is also limited, especially when you're pulling directly from sheets. Additionally, customer support is not easily accessible, and the online help resources could be more comprehensive. When you run into issues, it's not always clear where to turn or how to troubleshoot effectively.

Smartsheet has been a valuable tool in managing complex research projects. Its workspaces allow for clear organization across different study components—whether it's tracking data collection, managing IRB submissions, or coordinating with collaborators. The ability to assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress in real time makes it much easier to stay on schedule, especially when working with large or distributed research teams.
One of the most helpful features is customizable access control. We can easily share specific sheets or reports with co-investigators, analysts, or stakeholders, ensuring everyone has the right level of visibility. The platform also supports automated alerts and reminders, which are useful for managing deadlines like grant submissions or manuscript drafts.
In addition, Smartsheet supports report generation and dashboards, which help summarize study progress or track metrics like enrollment or data completeness. Although creating these reports can be a bit cumbersome, once set up, they provide a clear and centralized view of key project indicators.

Super user-friendly project management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely user friendly and allows a great deal of customization based on your needs. Allowing users different levels of access is extremely helpful when conducting cross-team collaboration. Also, they have superior customer support. The plan that my company is on allows users to request unlimited help desk sessions, which involves 1:1 support with a software expert if you need help troubleshooting or building out a custom product. Automations and setting workflows is super easy and helps make processes run much smoother, and you don't need to know any coding or backend work to encode it. They're pretty innovative and constantly adding to their roadmap with functionalities such as AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of dashboard customizability limitations, and certain specific functions (e.g., tracking a team's capacity) can't be done unless you buy their add-ons. The core product you'll run into a lot of limitations and feel forced into buying their full suite of additional products, which can definitely add up in an organization. Also, if end-users are familiarized with OneDrive or Google Drive, it'll be a steep learning curve and you'll notice the limitations a lot quicker (e.g., no separate tabs in Smartsheet sheets. Limited analysis tools. Auto-save has to be opted into, otherwise you need to manually save your sheet or all changes will be lost). You also can't share a folder, you have to share either an individual item or an entire workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlined processes. Smartsheet forms allow us to easily manage our project intake process which has replaced ad-hoc emails. Also, standardization of Project Management tools. WIth standard templates and workspaces that can easily be implemented once a new project enters intake, it increases our team's reputation as being polished and having quick turnaround.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet has the capabilities to adequately manage my project work while being easy to use for my colleagues that don't use the product very often.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like using the grid and gantt views for my project sheets, but I don't see much of a use for the new "table" and "board" views. I'm not really sure how they are that different from the previous grid and gantt views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest challenge that our team has is around documentation and project tracking. We need to build rigor into our PM strategies at my organization, and Smartsheet allows us to accomplish that goal.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and flexible Smartsheet is. It feels like a powerful blend of a spreadsheet and a project management tool, which makes it easy for everyone on the team to adapt without a steep learning curve. The ability to automate workflows and set up alerts helps us stay on top of deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's feature-rich, some advanced functionality requires a bit of digging or external learning, especially when setting up complex automations or integrations. I’ve also noticed that performance can lag slightly with very large sheets or complex formulas. Additionally, better built-in reporting visuals would be a great improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us centralize project tracking, manage timelines, and assign responsibilities more effectively across teams. Before, we struggled with version control, scattered updates, and manual follow-ups. Now, everything is visible in one place — from task progress to file attachments and comments. It has improved accountability, reduced delays, and given us better visibility into workloads and priorities.
A Game-Changer for Project Management and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate a lot about Smartsheet is how flexible it is. It feels like working in a spreadsheet which makes it easy to get used to but it is way more powerful than that. I've used it frequently to manage everything from project timelines to team task tracking (e.g. engineering verification and validation work) and it handles it well. The automation features are also a huge time saver, being able to set up alerts and reminders without needing to code anything is a big plus. I also enjoy being able to collaborative in real time with colleagues (not possible with MS Project Desktop), especially when we're juggling multiple projects across departments.
I have not had to reach out to their customer services but not felt the need to either. I am sure they would have helped resolve my issues though as the UI and website seem very well designed.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to point out a few downsides, i'd say the mobile app could use some improvements. It works, but it's not as smooth or intuitive as the web version, especially when you're trying to make quick edits or view complex sheets. Also, once you start building out more advanced workflows or dashboards, there's a bit of a learning curve. It's not a dealbreaker though and it just takes time to unlock the full potential of the platform.

Currently we're using Smartsheet to build test plans and break down complex projects into clear, actionable tasks. It's helped us stay organized and keep everyone on the same page without relying on scattered spreadsheets or endless email threads. The visibility and structure it provides have made it easier to track progress, meet deadlines and reduce miscommunication across the team.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to have a running conversation in the comments especially with the attachments readily available. You can also add a link in the comments for a supplemental reference from another sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting can be a bit more difficult if you're not as familiar with how to set your grid up correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a one stop shop for our entire team to have access to status, references, approvals, photos, etc.
