Good Product for Organizing Data
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a powerful tool for managing projects and data, especially when it comes to reporting. I like it for its ability to create complex, customizable reports that pull information from multiple sheets and present it in a clear, actionable way. It makes tracking progress, consolidating data, and sharing updates with stakeholders much easier and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The primary disadvantage of Smartsheet is that building formulas can be challenging and feels less intuitive compared to other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the ability to create detailed checklists, as well as the option to build an entire portal. This combination makes the experience both flexible and powerful for organizing my work.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of it compared to MS project - smartsheet is far easier to use and understand as a part time project manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that my password and login is not saved, and that the system kicks me out all the time if I am not using it. The login process is too long on my system - I have to enter my email (and the field doesn't save so I have to type it in each time), wait for an email to be sent to me with a code, and then enter the code.
I also don't like that when I import excel sheets containing formulas, the formulas don't come across despite me asking the system to import the formulas. I also don't like that in the same exercise I then have to go in and re-designate a date column as a date column from a text column - why can't smartsheet see that this is a date column.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us track timelines between us and our vendors
It has many great features and I am glad to have those. However, they are not always intuitive.
What do you like best about the product?
It makes information feel organized and accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gets overwhelming to keep track of the sheets, workspaces, dashboards and so on. Then on top of it, to have to share access to people for each of these, it just feels too complicated at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows information about a particular topic or project to be consolidated into one space. This makes it easier to find the related items.

What do you like best about the product?
You can link sheets together and save data efficiently. Once you have set up the system, it becomes intuitive and easy to navigate. I appreciate that it allows you to chart out every aspect of a job and create a timeline for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that when you link sheets it takes a minute to update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the communication and data storage features. I like that you can leave notes without having to send emails, and that all the project information can be stored in one place.

I like the ability to be able to attach files and have conversations with other people in the sheet
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there are no key shortcuts and the ribbon is very confusing. Takes a long time to format the sheet.

It allows me to track diligence requests with a client and the client is able to respond and upload files to fulfill the different requests
Good project tracker that is highly customisable

It links together with externa; documents well.

It's slightly clunky and i prefer a more intuitive/basic UI, with buttons and icons rather than spreadsheets.

Having all the information to hand. It allows me to know what tasks are outstanding.

Integrations with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and cloud storage services also streamline communication and document sharing. Finally, version control is less robust than platforms like GitHub or Overleaf, which can be frustrating when managing manuscripts or code.

It's a powerful tool with a lot of possibility, but it can be challenging to learn it all.

Smartsheet is incredibly versatile with many different ways to create schedules, visualize tasks, and build very specific calendars.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is not entirely intuitive sometimes and the overwhelming amount of options can create friction for users starting out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet assists heavily with scheduling and assigning tasks for people on specific days. It also allows us to track when training or certifications are due and visualizes it neatly for anyone to identify gaps.
I like the idea of smart sheet and believe it can do many things that people are unaware of.

How the main cell cannot be edited. How you cannot merge rows and columns together.
