Smartsheet has revolutionized the way we work!
What do you like best about the product?
Künz, one of the oldest and most respected companies in the Vorarlberg mechanical engineering industry, has experienced a digital transformation with Smartsheet that has elevated our processes and collaboration to a new level. As leading innovators in crane construction, we have always sought solutions that help us overcome our customers' greatest challenges. Smartsheet has enabled us to do just that.
By implementing Smartsheet, we were able to manage our workload more efficiently and ensure that all data is available at a "Single Point of Truth." This has significantly improved transparency and real-time reporting. Particularly impressive is Smartsheet's ability to replace long checklists and documentation processes, leading to faster and easier documentation.
The Smartsheet app allows our employees on the construction site to document damages directly and store all necessary information visibly. The user-friendly forms are especially practical for mobile devices, which are indispensable on the construction site. Dashboards and reports provide us with a real-time overview of the complex conditions on large construction sites, significantly improving decision-making.
An unexpected advantage was the revolutionization of our onboarding process. With Smartsheet, we were able to reduce personnel costs by almost 90% and automate the onboarding of new employees. The simple and accessible user interface, as well as the great functionalities of Smartsheet, have convinced us in all areas.

What do you dislike about the product?
The current licensing model and the fact that there is only a complex interface to Microsoft, which in turn causes licensing costs.

Smart Excel Sheet
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Smartsheet fosters a collaborative environment and if you create the right workflow, is the source of truth for many companies. I like that you can see the entry history, leave comments, images, files, etc. It uses all the same formulas as excel and more advanced forms than microsoft. I also appreciate that we can always transfer ownership of sheets easier than an excel document. I keep a tab open all day to access the company info.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides of using smartsheets are that it's another program you'd have to log into, need a paid subscription (at least one user does), etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Other than storing much of the company/organization info, I found that the Smartsheet forms are more advance in their if/then prompts than Microsoft Forms. I also found that Microsoft forms has restrictions that Smartsheet doesn't (i.e. multiple selection for drop-down menu values). It helps us have more efficient workflow.

Smartsheet has a wide range of functionalities and use. Automation rules that can be set up are quite useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall UX could be improved. The current user experience and design are quite dated compared to other software applications. Also, the user training materials could be improved. Smartsheet has so many functionalities but are left unexplored by some users.
The resource management is a good tool however, the time investment for the initial set up is quite high and sometimes, could discourage its use.
It will be good if there are functions where small-scale project management and resource management can be done efficiently in smartsheet. Our company has big and small projects. When the project is complex and large enough, smartsheet is quite useful. However, each project manager also has multiple small projects. Smartsheet can be quite time-consuming and inappropriate to use.

I love that multiple people can be in the sheet at once because some services don't offer that feature.
I also love that you are able to add work flows such as adding someone to a task and then alerting them that something has been assigned to them. It makes working across teams so much easier instead of e-mailing back and forth.
We have been able to create dashboards for our sponsored events which has been a huge help in laying out data with visual graphs and charts. It looks really clean and and has helped us keep on track with deadlines, goals, and tasks.

I wish that you could have multiple sheets within one created Smartsheet because sometimes it makes more sense for our teams to have all the data within one Smartsheet instead of 2 in the workspace.
I also wish you could add bullet points within the cells. Right now I have to add another line in the cell and use '-' to list out items and it is a bit cumbersome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been the most effective tool for cross team collaboration on events. It has enabled our teams to be synced on deadlines and goals we need to reach before event day. Instead of having 100 spreadsheets to keep track of data and companies, we have narrowed it down to 1-2 Smartsheets.
In addition to events, it has also been super helpful with processing gifts from the gift services team to me. Before it was a very clunky process of sending a bunch of emails and not knowing really when I have been assigned to review a gift. But now, I am able to get a notification and see all of my pending & approved gifts in one spot. It's more streamlined and cleaner to review data.

Collaborating in real-time on time-sensitive tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to collaborate in real-time with my collogues on time sensitive tasks that require extensive updates and tracking. Giving us a workspace that can evolve with the needs of our organization is a great benefit. It is also easy to use, and there is no application needing to be downloaded, and no crashes that you need to deal with. Saving the workspaces and sheets are at the click of a button, and everything exists in the cloud for seamless collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when creating a workspace for Form-Use, the user-interface can be a bit cumbersome, for example, creating a sheet rather than a form in the Menu-tree. Also, a more frequent auto-save option would be a great toggle feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When managing projects that are multiple months long, and incorporates multiple stakeholders and departments, Smartsheets makes it easy to tag, comment, attach, and share documents and important information within the teams and partners. It eliminates the need to search through inboxes and second guess tasks. We can view the shcedules and create SOPs in the same web app and it is cloud-based for ease of use.

Intuitive project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use with intuitive controls. I like the way you can build very simple Gantt charts and dial up to much more complex and comprehensive project management tracking according to your needs. Being able to publish dashboards is great for keeping senior leadership and external stakeholders up to date. There are a huge variety of pre-formed templates to get new projects started and these can be easily adapted.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be useful to have different levels of license for team members who just need to keep their task status updated, but are not creating new projects themselves. This has been a real barrier for integrating Smartsheet's use as a whole company system for a cash limited startup.
Some of the formulas in Smartsheet can be slightly confusing to figure out.
In terms of functionality, features I would love to see are: 1) easier ways to capture slack in a project and 2) the ability to define project timelines by a single deadline at project end.

Visibility of critical path
I always enjoyed Smartsheet to manage my projects. I don’t like the recent changes in the policies.

I like the flexibility and the chances to adapt SS to your needs.

I don’t like the customer care and the recent issues with the desktop app. Nobody could manage to solve it.

Smart Sheet Review
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has way better capabilities for visuals than Excel. Our company utilizes that function everyday since we require art to be reviewed before it can be printed on apparel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data mesh is a little confusing. There are no warnings that you cannot have multiple persons have a data mesh work together or else it will just switch back and forth between data sets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very good at viewing jpgs. Way better than excel at copy and pasting images.
