One Tool to Track Engineering Metrics and Improve Capacity Allocation

  • March 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A single tool for tracking all engineering metrics. It’s been especially valuable for capacity allocation across key company initiatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all tools can be connected, and some tool metrics are hidden in Metrics Explorer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us make data-driven decisions about engineering and improves alignment between engineering and the business.

Bridging the Gap Between Engineering and Business Strategy.

  • March 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform’s ability to provide high-level visibility into engineering alignment is outstanding. I love how it automatically aggregates data from Jira and GitHub to show exactly how much effort is being spent on roadmap items versus technical debt, all without manual time-tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial configuration and data mapping can be quite complex and time-consuming. I also find the learning curve for new managers to be somewhat steep, and I would appreciate more flexibility in creating highly customized, ad-hoc reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the "black box" problem of engineering productivity by translating technical output into business impact. This benefits me by providing data-driven insights to justify resource allocation, identify team bottlenecks early, and communicate progress effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Jellyfish Made Software Cost Capitalization a Breeze for Accounting

  • March 09, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish took a complicated, manual process we had for capitalizing software development costs and made it a breeze for us in Accounting. Our old process of using timecards & tracking epics was very burdensome, taking atleast a full day of close to compile. With Jellyfish, at the click of a button I have all the data I need to book our monthly entry. The documentation Jellyfish provide has also been extremely helpful to communicate with our auditors on our processes and how everything works.
What do you dislike about the product?
None - Jellyfish has been amazing. I really have nothing bad to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Jellyfish, we manually tracked our developers time spent on epics each month. This included calculating the costs associated with each epic & determining what was capitalizable versus non. Jellyfish automatically calculates the costs for us by interfacing with JIRA computing the FTEs for each epic. This has saved us at minimum a day during our close process.

All Key Metrics in One Place for Intuitive, Aligned Team Performance

  • February 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jellyfish is how it brings all the key metrics and insights into one place, making it super easy to track our team’s performance. It’s intuitive and really helps us understand where we’re excelling and where we can improve. It makes planning and decision-making so much smoother, and I love how it keeps everyone aligned on goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Jellyfish is that some of the reports and dashboards could be more customizable. While the default views are helpful, it would be great to have more flexibility in how we can filter and display certain metrics. Additionally, some of the data syncs take a bit longer than expected, which can sometimes cause delays in real-time tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish is solving the problem of lack of visibility into engineering performance and progress. Before using it, it was harder to get a clear, data-driven view of how our team was performing across different sprints. Now, Jellyfish helps us track key metrics like cycle time, throughput, and sprint velocity in one place.

This has been a huge benefit because it allows us to identify bottlenecks early, make more informed decisions about priorities, and align the team on goals. It’s also helped us improve team efficiency and planning accuracy, which ultimately leads to faster and more predictable delivery.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jellyfish to track engineering productivity and delivery across teams. It gives me visibility into AI usage, Jira tickets, pull requests, and PR analytics through clear graphs and reports. It also helps me to understand team allocation, investment, and delivery performance across multiple projects, making planning and decision making more data-driven. What I like most about Jellyfish is how it brings everything into one place. Having Jira, PR data, AI usage, and team-level insights with clean graphs makes it much easier to understand what's happening across projects and teams without digging through multiple tools. I really like how Jellyfish makes complex engineering data easy to understand. The initial setup was straightforward, and integrating it with other tools was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the amount of data can feel a bit overwhelming, and it takes some time to get used to how certain metrics are calculated. More customization options and simpler onboarding would make the experience smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jellyfish to track engineering productivity, providing visibility into AI usage, Jira tickets, and team allocation with clear graphs, making planning and decision-making data-driven.
