Transforming Engineering Management with Data-Driven Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish provides clear insights about resource allocation and team performance. The integration with Jira and GitHub allows for seamless data aggregation, giving me a comprehensive view of my team’s work without the need for manual tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve for new users, but you will get used to it after few days of active use

Jellyfish provides a clear breakdown of how engineering resources are spent, helping us identify inefficiencies and optimize allocation across teams and projects

Great for Tracking and Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish makes it easy to see where engineering efforts are going. The dashboards provide clear insights into team priorities, work breakdown, and progress toward goals. It’s great for transparency and aligning with business objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only gripe is that some metrics feel more leadership-focused than relevant for day-to-day engineering work, but overall it’s a solid tool for visibility and tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps our team stay aligned with business priorities by providing clear visibility into workload distribution, project progress, and resource allocation.
Very interesting to get all data per team and be able to compare in a glimpse

Data is useful but have to be careful to not just stop there as many factor determine a developer efficiency

* Provides me clear visibility into the cost of developing each feature and fixing bugs

* Cconfigurations can be a bit cumbersome at times
* No way to generate separate capitalisation reports for different entities in the same organisation

Great intial solution and continuously improving
What do you like best about the product?
They are continuously improving and providing more valuable capabilities. The insights and ease of use is efficient and can be used by a broad range of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially it didn't support sprint level timeframes, but that has since been added. Also, richer API integrations would be helpful for mining data within our solutions.

Consolidated information radar and insights for squads, leadership and division

What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface of Jellyfish and how easy it is to see the data and how seamlessly it syncs with JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an ability to see work across teams and see a Gantt chart of items under Epics to work through cross team dependencies. I thinkt he scenario planner would be unlocked at a new level with this capability.

It really helps visualize the data in a way no other tool does.

As a developer I get to see all the tasks I have worked on, % of which I have worked on sustaining work or product growth. I can also see number of MR and number of lines of code I have writer each month. Overall I get good insights on my progress

Task that are not related to jira tickets won't be tracked

It is helping to understand growth and direction of team

What do you like best about the product?
I do like the general insight that we have when it comes to our sprints. The metrics give us an idea on where we can improve as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of weird things and bugs we notice with jellyfish. My manager is constantly having to reach out about issues we have with integrations and what not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us see how many bugs we actually pull into the sprint. It has helped us show our product team the reasons why we may be delayed in releasing something is because of something that they determined to be a bug. Now they've gotten better at classifying tickets. It also helped us have a hard conversation about why our prs sit around for so long. It doesn't have anything to do with this app (it's due to the god awful app that is Teams) and so we are constantly trying to figure out how to get that number out.
Solid software with lots of data
What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to use and aggregates a huge amount of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sheer amount of information can be overwhelming at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives our organization insights into how we are spending our time and possible bottlenecks.
