Insightfull tool
What do you like best about the product?
Whether you’re an Engineering Leader, Manager, or Developer, Jellyfish offers valuable insights. The AI Impact feature is a great starting point to understand how AI is transforming the way R&D teams work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Interface is overly dynamic, creating a distracting experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps answer the critical question of investment allocation. We all need to understand where our time and focus are truly going.
Great too that offers lots of visibility into my Dev costs
What do you like best about the product?
Great Dashboards and also ways to customize my reports. Integration into Jira and Github
What do you dislike about the product?
In my case, it is a minimal thing. When calculating my Capitalizable percentages, they are based on FTE instead of cost, and I can't change that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into where my investment in Dev is being spent
Jellyfish Effectiveness in Action
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can see analysis of data from Jira and GitHub. It helps me keep my teams moving at a consistent pace, and easily see when things are off target. I can see our commitment dates and how we are tracking toward them, as well as see our past performance which helps identify trends the teams are experiencing. Additionally, this helps us identify and discuss opportunities to improve our process.
Jellyfish is easy to use, and I use it daily. There is a learning curve, but once you spend a short amount of time playing in it, you can easily find what you want and need. It allows me to drill down into metrics to see team performance, individual performance, how much time is focused on specific work, and sooo much more!!
Jellyfish has allowed me to really make my teams better at moving work from beginning to completion in a timely manner. Their productivity has increased so much, and they are happier as a result.

What do you dislike about the product?
It updates only once a day, so data is always a bit delayed and not quite accurate. It also thinks that stories that were cloned are carried over from the original sprint where they were created, which interferes with sprint predictability metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We never had visibility into how we were tracking against our quarterly commitments, and now we have insight into that just a few clicks away.
We love using Jellyfish!
What do you like best about the product?
As an engineering leader, I’ve seen how Jellyfish has transformed the way we work. We've significantly improved alignment with Product and Finance teams, enabling better tracking and decision-making. Since adopting Jellyfish, our team performance has increased by around 30%, and project delivery has become more consistent and predictable. It also gives us real visibility into team health—velocity, cycle time, and more, so we can continuously improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jellyfish has been a game-changer for our engineering organization. Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about the tool, it’s intuitive, insightful, and consistently adds value. It just works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps us solve the lack of visibility into engineering work and team capacity. It connects engineering efforts with business priorities, which improves communication with Product and Finance. As a result, we’ve seen better project delivery rates, improved team performance (around 30% increase), and a more data-driven approach to managing team health and productivity.

Lack of visibility into engineering work – Jellyfish gives me a clear, real-time view of what my team is working on, so I can make better decisions and stay aligned with goals.
Difficulty tracking team health and DevEx – The DevEx module helps me keep tabs on developer experience and spot potential burnout or bottlenecks early.
Slow feedback loops – With quick access to key metrics, I can course-correct faster and give more timely, data-backed feedback to my team.
Unstructured or subjective 1:1s – Developer Insights give me a helpful starting point for more productive, focused conversations.
Hard to justify engineering efforts to stakeholders – The reporting and visualizations make it easier to communicate impact to leadership in a way that’s backed by data.

Powerful tool that allows you to make decisions based on data.
What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I like to make decisions based on data rather that a "feeling". This tool helps me dig into the data to really see what is happening and then make better decisions.
In this modern age and scale of my organization it is essential that you have the right tooling in place
Super easy to use

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to build more custom metrics.
It not a dislike, but i find that it is essential that you understand the principles of engineering best practice before using the data. The data in the wrong hands could cause issues. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Bringing Clarity and Strategy to QA with Jellyfish
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jellyfish is how it gives real visibility into where our engineering time is going. It helps me make smarter QA decisions, spot trends in bugs or test gaps, and better plan our testing efforts. The dashboards are super helpful for retros and keeping the team aligned. It also makes it easier to show how QA is supporting bigger business goals. Overall, it helps QA feel like a more connected and strategic part of the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t like about Jellyfish is that it can feel a bit too high-level for day-to-day QA work. It’s clearly built with engineering leadership in mind, so finding the specific QA insights I need sometimes takes a bit of digging and customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish gives visibility into where engineering effort is spent, helping align QA work with business goals. It helps us plan better, spot issues early, and show the impact of QA more clearly.
Powerfull tool, but needs deeper understanding
What do you like best about the product?
Once configurated it gives a great overview about timelines and workload for the teams
What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration is not that easy and does not adapt fully to our internal team structure, e.g. team overlapping work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Calculating ETAs when working with various amounts of developers.
Essential tool for data-driven engineering decision making
What do you like best about the product?
Simplified setup: Implementation was surprisingly straightforward and quick
Exceptional technical support: The accompaniment from Jellyfish's technical services team has been excellent throughout the entire process
Advanced functionality: Particularly noteworthy is the new functionality to measure GitHub Copilot adoption and impact, which is proving crucial for our AI adoption plan
Actionable insights: The data allows us to identify specific improvement opportunities and measure the impact of implemented changes

What do you dislike about the product?
While Jellyfish provides excellent out-of-the-box dashboards and analytics, I would appreciate more flexibility to create custom operational reports on my own. Currently, most reporting customization requires going through their support team or using their standard templates. Having a more robust self-service report builder or additional customization options for operational metrics would make the platform even more powerful for organizations with specific reporting needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish has provided us with the deep visibility we needed into our development teams. Before implementing the tool, we were making organizational and process decisions based on subjective perceptions. Now we have objective metrics and real data to map engineering behaviors across our entire organization.
Tool provides valuable insight into our engineering performance
What do you like best about the product?
It is great working with the Jellyfish team. They are quick to respond to questions and provide one on one help when needed. They have many new features coming in that we are very excited to implement and start using. Our squads rely on these metrics to provide insight into what is and isn't working well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little bit to figure out where to find certain information. But it is all good once you do understand where the different metrics are located.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides information on where we are spending resources. Helps in the planning and accounting processes.
