Jellyfish has decent metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish is flexible, and allows tracking almost anything you can think of.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jellyfish does not capture helpful metrics out of the box / automatically
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying ways to increase velocity
Visibility like never before!
What do you like best about the product?
The visibility you get on where your team's effort goes, the ability to work closely with Jira to maximise classification of effort, understanding conflicting priorities, focus from engineers and even a planner that considers velocity, team focus and work remaining that helps driving conversations.
Also, visibility on team processes. Easier than ever to see how certain actions on workflow, agreements and team processes can have on your team impact.
Values you get on Jellyfish are not a goal on its own, but a fantastic conversation starter and way to monitor progress.
The visibility I have over my teams now thanks to Jellyfish is like never before.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike on its own, I'd love to have the ability to set up alerts based on specific deadlines or metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The big questions that sometimes seems easy to answer but is not:
- Where's my team's time going?
- How much BAU/KTLO work we actually have?
- How many priorities the same engineer can have?
- What's the speed and capacity needed for specific projects?

Jellyfish review
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish is easy to use. It is easy to setup and integrate with Jira. I can see which tasks take a long time
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a chance that a managment may start using lines of code and things liekthat as metrics to judge engineering performance / productivity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
seeing how much ad hoc / unplanned work there is.
It is easy to navigate and find the relevant information needed.
What do you like best about the product?
The integration capabilities make it relatively easy to setup and hook into the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to configure user accounts according to teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding areas where we can optimize our processes.
Useful app, but nothing special
What do you like best about the product?
- has a lot of ways to check different metrix;
What do you dislike about the product?
- could be difficult to figure out what to do to get specific data
- not very flexible in terms of gathering data (you cannot change workflow as it would suit your needs)
- not very flexible in terms of gathering data (you cannot change workflow as it would suit your needs)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gathering metrix such as: issue life cycle, sprint prediction, employee performance
Great visibility tool
What do you like best about the product?
The metrics make it really easy to see how a team is performing against a particular measurement. I also love the ease of visibility into where a team is allocating its time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Metrics don't seem to be real time but do update frequently enough to provide valuable information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into a teams focus areas.
Jellyfish is a Great Benchmarking Tool for SaaS Companies
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish provides a flexible framework to measure engineering orgs, teams, individuals. My favorite part is being able to benchmark and compare against other software companies to benchmark where we need to focus. Leading to data backed decision making and the ability to fail fast if metrics take a downturn after process change. Jellyfish tracks commit history in its own DB so squash merge does not impact metrics. This was a big issue for us int he past.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA team integration is a bit flaky as the teams are not fixed and anyone you comments / collaborates in JIRA is reflected in the team making team metrics less than accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High Performing Teams

Useful tool for tracking work
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to integrate with Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to exclude weekends in the lead time tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We like to see lead time and cycle time for our work.
Jellyfish let's my engineering team track and measure our deployments quickly and efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple with an API call we can make within our CI/CD pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard takes a bit of getting used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us better track our actual production deployments.
Works great

We use Jira, integration seems pretty seemless. Great data visualizations make it easy to make decisions
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of data to go through can make it hard to find what you want sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Productivity seems to be better with data to help guide decisions
